Jurnal Sylva Scienteae merupakan jurnal yang mempublikasikan hasil penelitian di bidang kehutanan, meliputi Teknologi Hasil Hutan, Manajemen Hutan, Budidaya Hutan, dan Konservasi Hutan. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Terbit pertama kali di bulan Agustus 2018. Pada Tahun 2018 hanya mengeluarkan dua edisi yaitu Agustus dan Oktober. Selanjutnya pada tahun 2019 sampai sekarang, jurnal dipublikasikan sebanyak 6 edisi, yaitu Februari, April, Juni, Agustus, Oktober dan Desember.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the ecotourism potential of the Klaogin River area in Klaogin Village, Seremuk District, South Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province. A qualitative descriptive approach supported by quantitative data was employed through field observation, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussion, and documentation studies. Results reveal diverse and high-quality ecotourism potential: the Klaogin River with clear water and intact riparian vegetation; the Klaogin Waterfall as a sacred cultural and ecological site; a traditional shrimp fishing spot rooted in indigenous knowledge; and rich biodiversity of 17 flora species (including two protected species: Myristica teysmannii and Agathis dammara) and 40 bird species dominated by parrots and cockatoos. Cultural potential is reinforced by sacred sites, the traditional Lahan Kla/Se water management system, customary conservation rules (sasi), and traditional dances. Road access is available from Sorong via Teminabuan, with basic facilities including gazebos, toilets, traditional boats, and a community homestay. Klaogin River holds strong potential as a community-based ecotourism destination, provided conservation principles are maintained and community involvement is strengthened.

Abstract

The sago plant is a palm-type plant that grows in wet tropical areas, namely in freshwater areas, swamps, along river flows and around water sources. The productivity of sago plants is higher than other carbohydrate-producing plants, this is another alternative in the consumption of carbohydrates to replace rice. The potential area of sago plants in Indonesia is very large but the utilization of this plant by the community is still not optimal which is estimated to be only 15-20%. This study aims to analyze the utilization and sale distribution of sago plants (Metroxylon sago) in the community in Candi Laras Selatan District, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Data collection to analyzethe utilization of sago plants using interviews to the community using purposive sampling method. Analysis of the distribution of sago plants sales was carried out by field observation and taking coordinate points where sago grows using purposive sampling method. Primary data was obtained based on results of interviews from the community and direct data collection in the field regarding the coordinates of the growing point of the sago plant. The utilization of sago plants in Candi Laras Selatan is that the trunks are sold directly to the owners of sago or sago starch processing factories, the trunks are sold directly to the owners of duck livestock, and the leaves of sago plants are processed into house roofs or livestock kandangan roofs. Sago plant producers in Candi Laras Selatan Subdistrict are Sungai Rutas, Sungai Rutas Hulu, Pabaungan Hulu and Marampiau. Village with sales distribution to the Marampiau Hilir, Danau Panggang, Babirik Hulu, and Kandangan areas.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze understory plant types, and analyze the Importance Value Index (INP) and Diversity Index (H') of understory plant types in post-fire areas in the Liang Anggang protected forest area. The method used in this research is observation with a purposive sampling technique to determine the location of research measuring plots. Measuring plots were made systematically with a length of 100 m in 3 lanes and consisting of 5 observation plots measuring 20 x 20 m, then subplots of 2 m x 2 m were made for grass types and subplots of 5 m x 5 m for seedlings and herbs. Plots are made in a zig-zag manner so that all vegetation can be represented. The Importance Value Index is determined from the relative density and relative frequency of a type. Diversity Index based on the Shannon Wiener index. The results of the research found 21 types of understory plants which were divided into 15 families with a total of 697 individuals belonging to grass, seedling and herb types, and one type of sapling. The type that has the highest Important Value Index for grass species is reeds (Imperata cylindrica) with a value of 106.49%. The type of seedlings and herbs that dominate or have the highest Importance Value Index is galam (Melaleuca leucadendron) at 71.24%. The diversity index for grass species obtained a value of 1.054, which is included in the medium category, and the diversity index for seedlings and herbs obtained a value of 1.089, which is also included in the medium category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan menganalisis peran berbagai stakeholder dalam program Rehabilitasi Mangrove Blue Carbon Initiative di wilayah studi dengan pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif. Pemetaan stakeholder dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi pihak‑pihak yang terlibat, memahami bentuk kepentingan mereka terhadap program, serta menilai tingkat pengaruh yang dimiliki dalam mendukung atau menghambat implementasi kegiatan rehabilitasi mangrove. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan aktor kunci, observasi lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik untuk menggambarkan dinamika relasi antar stakeholder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok dengan pengaruh besar dan kepentingan tinggi meliputi pemerintah desa, kelompok tani hutan, dinas kehutanan/KPH, sektor swasta pendukung program, dan akademisi, yang secara bersama‑sama berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan program melalui legitimasi sosial, dukungan sumber daya, serta pengetahuan ilmiah. Di sisi lain, aktor seperti PKK, BUMDES, dan pemerintah kabupaten/provinsi memiliki kepentingan tetapi pengaruh yang relatif rendah, sehingga memerlukan strategi pemberdayaan dan pelibatan agar perannya dapat optimal. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pemahaman keterkaitan antar stakeholder dalam pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang kompleks demi memastikan kolaborasi multipihak yang efektif, responsif terhadap kebutuhan lokal, serta berkontribusi pada tujuan ekologis dan sosial‑ekonomi yang berkelanjutan dalam rehabilitasi mangrove. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan menjadi dasar perumusan strategi keterlibatan stakeholder dalam program serupa di masa depan.
