Bulletin of Community Engagement aims to provide a forum for international researchers on applied Society Development and Engagement to publish the original articles. The scope of Bulletin of Community Engagement are Society Development and Engagement. This journal contains research-based community service results such as PAR (Participatory Action Research), ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), CBR (Community-Based Research), Service Learning, Community Development, and other methodologies.

Abstract

Community service is a medium that bridges the world of education with society where the university sends lecturers and students to the community to mingle and collaborate in dealing with problems that exist in society, especially at Daarul Mutaqin Islamic Junior High School, Metro City. Abstract

The problem of garbage was classical problem that is always faced by residents, especially in the Metro Lampung City. Because of the quantity and level of danger, especially plastic waste which was composed of chemicals, was difficult to decompose. Hence, It was dangerous for the environment. Therefore, it was necessary to process waste to convert plastic into crafts that have aesthetic and selling value. This research used participation action research (PAR), through analysis survey and the implementation of counseling and training. The implementation of the results of the processing of waste from plastic packaging into handicrafts was being carried out to increase the creativity and skills of community, especially housewives, unemployed youth and children who drop out of school. Besides that, it can also minimize environmental pollution so that metro city residents can care more about environmental cleanliness. Through training and assistance in making creations for the use of waste originating from plastic packaging, residents will have more knowledge about business opportunities that can be created through creativity and skills so that the economic level of residents becomes higher. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pembangunan atau program dari dana desa, serta Dampak Dana Desa terhadap Perekonomian Masyarakat yang ditinjau dari pembangunan sarana prasarana, peningkatan kualitas SDM (baik pendidikan formal maupun non formal) serta tingkat pendapatan masyarakat di Desa Tanjung Bugis Sambas. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Bugis yang memiliki 3 Dusun dan 12 RT sebagai daerah penelitian. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 responden dengan penyebaran sampel sesuai dengan jumlah 12 RT pada 3 Dusun. Pada perangkat desa diambil 10 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu penelitian yang menggunakan metode pengumpulan data yang di dapat secara langsung dari responden melalui pengisian kuesioner, wawancara mendalam, melakukan observasi serta dari hasil diskusi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan program pembangunan prasarana dan SDM yang telah direncanakan, pencapaian pembangunan fisik dalam 3 tahun terakhir telah mencapai 70% dari yang ditargetkan dan capaian pembangunan SDM telah direalisasikan sebesar 40% dari yang ditargetkan. Terjadi peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat sebagai akibat pembangunan sarana prasarana desa dan peningkatan keterampilan masyarakat. Abstract

Community empowerment in improving the standard of living was essential. As in Jati Datar Village, Bandar Mataram Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency, the majority of which work in gardening or farming. The purpose of this assistance was to increase community independence in cultivating mushroom so that it can help the community's economy by utilizing empty oil palm bunches which is used as a medium for edible mushrooms. This research used ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method. The results of this activity indicate that the mushroom cultivation activity has enormous potential for the community to increase economic growth. Abstract

This study aimed to determine students' obstacles when learning online systems from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is qualitative, and the method used in collecting information is in the form of online questionnaires to class X students at MA Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya as long as the students carry out community service, namely the Community Service Program (KKN) in institutions that collaborate with supervisors in writing this journal article. The findings of this study indicated that there are obstacles or obstacles experienced by students during teaching and learning activities due to the online learning system carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely: more students have difficulty understanding teaching material; Some students do not have communication facilities; do not have internet quota when studying from home; parents do not master the use of technological media so that it fully leaves them up to children in online learning at home. The solutions carried out by Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya are: to make effective monitoring of student learning from home by creating a schedule and assigning each teacher; and conduct effective communication between teachers and parents through WA media and telephone. Abstract

Using method in memorizing Al Qur’an was the most important element in teaching. The memorization of Al Qur’an method that has long been used was the tahfidz and tikrar methods. Ideally, the method of tahfidz and takrir should be continuous, but students often forget to repeat their memorization because they were complacent about the amount of memorization they have gotten. This article aimed to accompaniment the students in training memorize the Qur'an with the rhythm method of the brain. This research used participation action research (PAR), through analysis survey and the implementation of counseling and training.The result show that Memorizing Al-Qur’an with the Rhythm Brain method, which is a way to memorize the Al-Qur’an by exerting all five senses, be it hand movements, head, vision, hearing, and mind that focus on memorizing the Al-Quran marked by using letter symbols and numeric codes accompanied by rhythm (the tone of sound when pronouncing a sentence in the Koran) so that it is easily stored in the right brain and imagined (imagined) for long-term memory. Students have an alternative method of memorizing that is fun, more effective and makes it easier for students. Abstract

The evaluation aimed to get achievement in assessing an educational target by students. In terms of assessment, a quality assessment tool is needed to fulfil two things: validity and reliability. Information that lacks validity and reliability will lead to biased conclusions was not in sync with what it should be and may differ from habit. This article aimed to determine the basic concepts of the validity and reliability of tests in evaluation. This article was also written using literary study methods and qualitative approaches. The discussion of this article, namely: validity is the degree of ability of a test that measures what is to be measured in learning. There are two kinds of validity, namely logical validity and empirical validity. Four types of validity are often used: content validity, construct validity, concurrent validity, and predictive validity. At the same time, reliability is another character of the evaluation results in learning. Reliability can also be interpreted as the same as consistency or consistency.
