Abstract

This study examines the informal listening habits of EFL students in Indonesia through the lens of digital literacy. Employing a descriptive quantitative survey method with 156 students from various academic programs, it investigates the types of content selected, underlying motivations, self-regulation strategies, and perceived affective impacts. The findings reveal that music, YouTube vlogs, and podcasts are the most frequently consumed content, primarily accessed via YouTube, Spotify, and TikTok. Content selection is driven by personal interest, entertainment, and convenience, consistent with Uses and Gratifications theory. From a digital literacy perspective, students are not merely passive consumers but active agents negotiating their linguistic identities through engagement with global content. The study concludes that informal listening is not simply a recreational activity but an integral component of the language learning ecosystem in the digital age. A key practical implication is the need to integrate informal listening practices into English language learning in Indonesia to make the curriculum more relevant to the realities of the digital generation living within a global media ecosystem.

Abstract

The concept of divinity is a fundamental aspect of all human belief systems. For Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the existence of God is the first and highest truth, undeniable by reason or human nature. This study aims to analyze al-Qaradawi's arguments regarding the existence of God and examine their relevance within contemporary theological thought. Employing a qualitative approach with a figure study method (library research), the primary data source is Yusuf al-Qaradawi's work Wujudullah: Eksensian Allah (Risalah Gusti, 2005). The study identifies five main arguments for the existence of God: (1) the argument from nature, (2) the cosmological argument, (3) the argument from precise and accurate measurements, (4) the argument from guidance and direction, and (5) the argument from the history of salvation. All these arguments emphasize that the existence of God is real and inherent in human consciousness, whether directly or indirectly realized. These findings demonstrate that al-Qaradawi successfully integrates theological, philosophical, and empirical approaches to explain the existence of God amid the challenges of modern thought.

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of new media in Islamic broadcasting from a transformative communication perspective, highlighting changes in interaction patterns and the construction of the meaning of da'wah in the digital space. The research background stems from the increasing use of digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, podcasts, and artificial intelligence in the dissemination of religious messages, which demands a more participatory communication strategy based on digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature review and analysis of recent scientific articles to examine the dynamics of changes in the digital da'wah ecosystem. The results show that new media create interactive and deliberative two-way communication spaces, as explained in Habermas's theory of interactive communication and public sphere, and has the potential to encourage the transformation of religious awareness in accordance with the concept of transformative communication. However, there is a risk of polarization, commodification of religion, and the spread of misinformation if not accompanied by ethical governance of Islamic broadcasting based on information verification and content moderation. This study recommends the development of an integrative, ethical, and media literacy-based digital da'wah model to strengthen da'wah's function as an instrument of social enlightenment and the formation of a moderate society.

The importance of Islamic values in entrepreneurship is increasingly debated in Muslim-majority countries. This study examines the experience of Santripreneur Indonesia in applying religious values alongside entrepreneurial practices. A qualitative methodology is used to document the experiences of participants in the field. The study presents several key findings. First, the internalization of Islamic values within the Santripreneur Indonesia movement occurs both culturally through education and through practical application. Second, Santripreneur Indonesia emphasizes independence as a core principle, encouraging santri and their networks to engage in entrepreneurship individually and collectively. Third, the strength of networking, established and maintained by caretakers (pengasuh), is a critical foundation. This network functions as capital to support Santripreneur Indonesia events, which often involve state institutions and related organizations, and as a medium to enhance field performance

This article aims to examine the role of Islamic education based on fiqh in enhancing the quality of learning and shaping individuals who are intellectually, morally, and spiritually competent, as well as capable of facing the challenges of globalization while adhering to Islamic values. The research method employed in this study is descriptive qualitative. Education is a lifelong process that develops individuals to live meaningfully and sustain life. The role of fiqh in education, particularly at the madrasa level, is crucial in equipping students with knowledge and understanding of Islamic teachings, especially regarding worship and morality. Abstract

A common issue in Indonesian divorces is infidelity, as evidenced by the frequent circulation of divorce news on social media. Infidelity has become a prevalent trend, particularly within families, influenced by various factors, including the advancement of increasingly sophisticated technology. Moreover, the problem of infidelity remains contentious, with assumptions and arguments that sometimes justify condoning infidelity or even endorsing divorce. This study explores why infidelity has emerged as a significant socio-religious issue in contemporary Muslim family discourse. The analysis interprets infidelity and examines responses such as forgiveness and divorce through the lens of Jamaluddin Athiyyah's Maqashid al-Usrah framework. The research employs normative legal methods, library research, and document analysis. The findings suggest the necessity of strengthening Islamic family ethics, focusing on protecting dignity, ensuring relational justice, and preventing broader socio-religious harm.
