Abstract

department of the state Islamic University Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau which is presented in the form of Insyā’ 1, Insyā’ 2, and Insyā’ 3 which must be taken by every student. To support learning insyā, students have been provided with mufradāt treasury either through supporting courses such as al-arabiyah al-mukatsafah, or through the obligation to memorize mufradāt which is imposed on students. However, mufrodāt treasure and memorizing it has not made a positive contribution to the student’s abilities. This research is quantitative correlation research because the aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of mastery of mufrodāt on the ability of Insyā’ in Arabic Language Education students at the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. This research used a test, questionnaires, and documentation for getting data. To analyze the data, researchers used the reliability and validity test, normality test, and linear regression test. From the results of this research, it can be seen that Sig. Count 0,0smallerer than 0,05 and t count bigger 22,572 than t table 1,672. it can be concluded that vocabulary mastery has a significant effect on Insyā’s ility. It shows that if students' mastery of mufradāt is better, then their abilities will be better too in writing Insyā’.

Abstract

PAI teachers are an important part of supporting the success of the Religion moderation program that is being echoed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs today. It would be a problem if PAI teachers have a different view from the spirit of religious moderation itself. This research attempts to describe the ‘voice from below’ of PAI teachers who are an integral part of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in understanding religious moderation in Pekanbaru. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with several PAI teachers at the junior high school in Pekanbaru City. In general, the views of PAI teachers coincide with the four indicators developed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs; national commitment, tolerance, non-violence and friendliness to local culture. However, there are some important issues that they think should be avoided, namely; wishing Merry Christmas; giving space for the Shia and Ahmadiyya religions; and the obligation to wear hijab for adult women.

Abstract

Tulisan ini, bertujuan mendeskripsikan moderasi beragama dan Pancasila sebagai pilar penting dalam kebhihenekaan dan persatuan di Indonesia. Warga Indonesia yang sangat beragam, disatu sisi mendorong akan kekuatan bangsa, namun di sisi lainnya, akan mendorong terjadinya konflik dan permusuhan. Artikel ini, menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui library atau dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moderasi beragama dan Pancasila adalah dua pilar utama yang menjaga kebhinekaan dan persatuan bangsa Indonesia. Moderasi beragama mengajarkan pentingnya toleransi dan menghargai perbedaan, sementara Pancasila memberikan landasan nilai yang kuat untuk membangun masyarakat yang adil, bersatu, dan sejahtera.

Abstract

This study critically examines state-facilitated religious favoritism in Indonesia’s plural democratic context, with a particular focus on the Masjid Paripurna program in Pekanbaru and comparative examples from majority non-Muslim regions. Drawing on structural violence (Galtung), symbolic power (Bourdieu), and theories of misrecognition (Honneth) and hegemony (Gramsci), the research reveals how ostensibly neutral administrative practices—budget allocations, permit procedures, and public moral narratives—systematically privilege majority religious groups. These practices manifest as symbolic violence, normalizing exclusion without overt coercion, and placing minority communities in a persistent dilemma of representation: conform to dominant norms or risk marginalization. Through document analysis, limited in‑depth interviews, and thematic reading of policy discourse, the study argues that such favoritism undermines the secular ideals of equity and erodes trust in the state as a neutral arbiter. It calls for a paradigmatic shift toward institutional equity, ensuring that all faith communities enjoy equal access to material resources, symbolic recognition, and participatory governance in Indonesia’s multi‑religious society

Abstract

This article explores the internal dynamics of the Tablighi Jamaat in Southeast Asia through an anthropological approach to religion. As a transnational da'wah movement originating from colonial India, the Tablighi Jamaat promotes a particular form of piety that interacts with, is negotiated, and at times contested within the local socio-cultural contexts of Indonesia and Malaysia. Drawing on the theories of locality (Appadurai), piety as a social construct (Asad & Mahmood), and symbolic capital (Bourdieu), the article highlights how language, travel experiences (safar), ethnicity, and gender serve as key arenas in the formation of hierarchy and authority within the movement. Through a critical reading of language adaptation, cultural resistance, and shifts in proselytizing practices by youth and converts, this study argues that piety within the Tablighi Jamaat is not a fixed entity, but rather the result of ongoing negotiations between global values and local realities. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of transnational Islam as a project shaped by locality, conflict, and social transformation.

Abstract

ملخّصيستخدم هذا البحث مقاربة كميا مع تصميم البحث التجربي، يتكون من متغيرين وهما طريقة "Spelling Bee (X) واستيعاب المفردات (Y). يهدف البحث لمعرفة فعالية استخدام طريقة "Spelling Bee" لترقية استيعاب المفردات العربية لدى طلاب الصف الثامن في المدرسة المتوسطة بمعهد دار الحكمة بكنبارو. وسؤال البحث فيه هل استخدام طريقة "Spelling Bee" فعال لترقية استيعاب المفردات لدى طلاب الصف الثامن في المدرسة المتوسطة بمعهد دار الحكمة بكنبارو. أداتان لجمع البيانات هي اختبار و ملاحظة. وكان الاختبار الذي قامت به الباحثة هو إجراء الصلاحية والموثوقية على أسئلة الاختبار القبلي. من بين 30 سؤال التي تم اختبار صلاحيتها، تمت الحصول على 25 سؤالا صالحة وكانت 5 سؤال غير صالحة مع قيمة موثوقية 0.89 (عالي).استنادا من نتيجة الاختبار القبلى و الاختبار البعدي في الفصل التجريبي تحصل الباحثة على قيمة 10 و في الفصل الضبطي تحصل الباحثة على قيمة 6,4. وبناء على تحليل البياناتبرموز t-test عرف بأن قيمة حساب t = 5 وهي أعلى من قيمة جدول t في مستوى دلالة ٪1= 2,70 ومستوى دلالة ٪5=2,02. فالفرضية المبدئية  (H0)مردودة والفرضية البديلة  (Ha)مقبولة، وذلك بمعنى أن هناك أثرا هاما لاستخدام طريقة "Spelling Bee"في استيعاب المفردات. وكذلك في جدول ملاحظة "Spelling Bee" نيل ٪96 بمعنى "جيد جدا" لإنه يقع في درجة ٪90- ٪100. باستخدام هذه البيانات، تم الحاصل من هذا البحث أن استخدام طريقة "Spelling Bee" فعال لترقية استيعاب المفردات لدى طلاب الصف الثامن في المدرسة المتوسطة بمعهد دار الحكمة بكنبارو.  AbstractThis research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental research desaign comprising two variables— Spelling Bee Method (X) and vocabulary mastery (Y).  This research aimed at knowing the effectiveness Spelling Bee Method in Increasing Student Vocabulary Mastery of Grade VIII of MTs Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru.  The formulation of the problem in this research was was spelling bee method effective in increasing student vocabulary mastery of Grade VIII of MTs Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru? Test and Observation were the instruments of collecting data. The test that the reseacrher did was to do the validity and realibity on the pre-test questions, of the 30 questions that were tested for validity, 25 items were obtained that were valid and 5 items were invalid with a realibility value of 0,89 (high). Based on the result of the pre test and post test in the exerimental class, the reseacher got a value of 10  and in the control class, the reseacher got a value of  6,4. Based on data analysis using the t-test formula, it was obtained that the score of tobserved 5.70 was higher than ttable 2.02 at 1% significant level and 1.68 at 5% significant level.  So, nol hypotheses (H0) was rejected and alternative hypotheses (Ha) was accepted.  It meant that there was a significant increase of vocabulary mastery of students taught by using spelling bee method. As well as in the observation table, the spelling bee  method got a value of  96% with the meaning very good because it is located at a significant level 90% -100%. With these data, the spelling bee  method was declared effective to improve the vocabulary mastery of grade VIII of MTs Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru

Abstract

Until now, the goal of education is to form individuals with spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, good morals, and skills that are useful for society. The learning process involves individuals actively in building knowledge through interaction with the environment, using approaches such as behaviorism, cognitive, and constructivism. Constructivism emphasizes that knowledge is the result of individual construction, which requires methods such as trial and error, dialogue, and active participation of students. In this context, this study focuses on the application of constructivism learning theory in Arabic language learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Fadhillah Pekanbaru. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive analysis, through interviews with the head of the madrasah and Arabic language teachers. The results of the study indicate that teachers have applied constructivism theory well, especially in vocabulary learning (mufradat) and kalam (speaking). However, there are several problems, such as the inability to apply this theory in each meeting due to limited time for assignments, as well as the lack of focus of some students during discussions.

Abstract

Sebagai sebuah teks yang terbuka, Alquran tidak bisa berbicara sendiri, tanpa ada yang membaca. Pembacaan atas teks Alquran akan memunculkan aneka ragam penafsiran atasnya. Pada masa Nabi Muhammad saw, penafsiran ayat-ayat Alqur’an menjadi otoritas beliau. Tidak ada yang menolak maupun membantah kebenaran penafsiran Nabi, namun dalam konteks saat ini, dimana semua umat Islam boleh memberikan tafsir atas ayat-ayat itu, maka tidak ada lagi klaim otoritatif atas kebenaran tafsir mereka. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa; Pertama, Islam dalam praktek keberagamaannya senantiasa plural, majmuk, tidak tunggal. Penunggalan atas praktek beragama ini, justru akan mempersempit ajaran Islam itu sendiri yang universal dan rahmatan lil-‘alamin; dan Kedua, bahwa Islam adalah agama universal dan tidak bersifat ekslusif. Inklusifisme Islam adalah bahwa keselamatan dapat diperoleh melalui keperayaan kepada Tuhan yang Esa, hari Akhir, dan amal shaleh (konstruktif).

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang pola interaksi dan penyebaran moderasi beragama di Kota Bagansiapi-Api Kabupaten Rokan Hilir-Riau. Secara umum, pola interaksi dan pola penguatan moderasi beragama di Bagansiapi-api ini adalah; Pertama, Bentuk pola interaksi sosial di kota Bagan siapi-api bersifat asosiatif yang mengarah pada bentuk hubungan seperti: kerjasama, akomodasi, dan asimilasi. Kedua, Dari hasil observasi di lapangan, ada tiga aktifitas yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat kota Bagan siapi-api yaitu Kegiatan agama, Kegiatan kota, dan kegiatan kesenian. Yang secara turun temurun yang menyebabkan mereka bisa hidup moderat serta dinamis. Salah satu indikatornya bahwa dalam waktu yang sangat lama hampir tidak pernah terjadi ada benturan horizontal antar umat sehingga mengganggu hubungan keduanya.

Abstract

This article examines the multicultural da'wah practices carried out by ustaz Mursyidin in Penyengat Village, Sungai Apit Subdistrict, Siak Regency, Riau—a traditional community of the Anak Rawa Tribe where most residents adhere to Christianity, Buddhism, and indigenous beliefs, while Muslims form a small minority. The study aims to explore the da'wah strategies used, identify the challenges faced, and analyze community responses within a multicultural setting. Using a qualitative character study approach, data were collected through interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal that ustaz Mursyidin adopts a contextual and empathetic approach by engaging in da'wah bil hal, interfaith dialogue, and cultural negotiation. These strategies emphasize tolerance, participation, and exemplary conduct. The challenges include conflicts between Islamic values and local customs, as well as symbolic resistance. Nonetheless, the soft and inclusive methods employed led to a high level of acceptance among the community. This study affirms the relevance of multicultural da'wah theories, cultural da'wah, cross-cultural communication, and power relations as foundations for effective da'wah in pluralistic societies. Artikel ini mengkaji praktik dakwah multikultural yang dijalankan oleh Ustaz Mursyidin di Kampung Penyengat, Kecamatan Sungai Apit, Kabupaten Siak, Riau—sebuah komunitas adat Suku Anak Rawa di mana mayoritas penduduknya menganut agama Kristen, Buddha, dan kepercayaan lokal, sementara umat Islam merupakan kelompok minoritas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan strategi dakwah yang digunakan, mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi, serta menganalisis respons masyarakat dalam konteks multikultural. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi tokoh dan observasi partisipatif, disertai analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ustaz Mursyidin menerapkan pendekatan yang kontekstual dan empatik melalui dakwah bil hal, dialog lintas agama, dan negosiasi budaya. Strategi ini menekankan toleransi, partisipasi, dan keteladanan sosial. Tantangan yang dihadapi antara lain benturan nilai antara ajaran Islam dan adat lokal serta resistensi simbolik. Meskipun demikian, pendekatan yang lembut dan inklusif menghasilkan tingkat penerimaan yang tinggi dari masyarakat. Penelitian ini menegaskan relevansi teori dakwah multikultural, dakwah kultural, komunikasi lintas budaya, dan relasi kekuasaan sebagai fondasi dakwah yang efektif dalam masyarakat majemuk.
