Abstract

The differences in educational patterns between the Meccan and Medinan phases have not been fully understood, particularly in the context of their application in the modern era. There is a lack of comprehensive studies on the dynamics of Islamic education during these two phases as a foundation for developing current educational systems. This research aims to re-examine these aspects as references and foundations for organizing education in both the present and the future. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach and library research or bibliometric analysis, which processes data based on literature. The library sources for this article include books, classical texts, and journals. Education is one of the mechanisms of life aimed at developing individual potential through teaching, training, and experience. Islamic education propagated by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) brought about a significant transformation in Arab society. The Prophet successfully transformed society from a state of ignorance characterized by idol worship and tribal conflicts into a unified community founded on faith, knowledge, and noble character. It can be concluded that the Islamic education introduced by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), both during the Meccan and Medinan periods, employed a highly comprehensive and profound approach.

Abstract

Subuh Education is a form of religious education that is carried out intensively at dawn. This activity is important in forming religious character and discipline in worship in children, especially in the challenging era of technology. This study aims to build children's religious character and discipline in worship as a foundation for noble personality. The digital era presents challenges, such as uncontrolled access to content, the influence of global culture, and dependence on technology that reduces awareness of worship. The study explores the role of Subuh Education and adaptive strategies to overcome these challenges. This study uses a library research method with observation and documentation data collection techniques. The results of the study show that Subuh Education plays a significant role in forming children's religious character and discipline in worship, such as praying on time and routinely reading the Qur'an. However, the influence of technology can be an obstacle if its use is not regulated wisely. This study concludes that Subuh Education is an effective strategy for building children's religious character and discipline in worship in the digital era.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to explore Ziauddin Sardar’s epistemology in integrating modern science and Islamic values, focusing on Tauhid (Oneness of God), Khilafah (Stewardship), and Worship as foundational principles for the Islamization of science and their implications for Islamic higher education in Indonesia. Methodology: This research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical method using a literature review approach. Primary sources include Sardar’s works on epistemology and the Islamization of science, while secondary sources comprise academic books, journal articles, and historical analyses. The study utilizes content analysis and comparative framework analysis to examine Sardar’s integration model within contemporary educational contexts. Main Findings: The study finds that the separation between science and Islam is influenced by historical, sociological, and political factors rather than Islamic teachings. Sardar’s epistemology provides a structured approach to integrating science with Islamic principles. His model offers a framework for curriculum development in state Islamic universities, promoting an interdisciplinary and ethical approach to knowledge. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study connects Sardar’s epistemology with the practical challenges of Islamic higher education in Indonesia, offering a structured framework for curriculum development. Unlike previous studies, it bridges Islamization theory with contemporary educational policy, providing a relevant and applicable model for integrating Islamic values into scientific disciplines.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, menggali, dan mengembangkan prinsip-prinsip fikih yang relevan untuk diimplementasikan dalam praktik pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran pada jenjang sekolah dasar berbasis Islam. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengombinasikan studi kepustakaan secara mendalam terhadap literatur fikih klasik dan kontemporer, serta wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan sejumlah praktisi pendidikan Islam, termasuk guru, kepala sekolah, dan pengembang kurikulum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai inti dalam fikih seperti tanggung jawab (mas’uliyyah), kedisiplinan (intizham), kejujuran (ṣidq), dan kasih sayang (raḥmah) memiliki relevansi tinggi dalam membentuk budaya belajar yang positif dan karakter peserta didik secara holistik. Prinsip-prinsip ini tidak hanya berperan dalam membangun fondasi moral siswa, tetapi juga mendorong pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran afektif dan sosial dalam konteks pendidikan dasar. Dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai fikih ke dalam strategi pedagogis dan desain pembelajaran, guru dapat mengembangkan lingkungan belajar yang bernuansa etika Islam sekaligus adaptif terhadap perkembangan psikologis anak usia sekolah dasar. Temuan ini memperkuat urgensi rekontekstualisasi ajaran fikih dalam dunia pendidikan modern sebagai bagian dari upaya pembinaan karakter Islami sejak dini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual bagi pengembangan model pembelajaran integratif yang berbasis nilai-nilai fikih, serta implikasi praktis bagi perumusan kurikulum dan pelatihan guru pada sekolah Islam dasar.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan pemahaman Al-Qur’an di kalangan pelajar dan masyarakat Desa Ulu Pulau, Kecamatan Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis, melalui implementasi metode tilawah dan tadabbur secara terintegrasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Rumah Tahfidz Roudlotul Qur’an, Rumah Tahfidz Ar Raudhah, dan Masjid Nuruttaqwa dengan jadwal tilawah pada malam hari Selasa, Rabu, dan Kamis setelah Maghrib hingga Isya, serta kegiatan mengaji yang berlangsung setiap malam. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah participatory action research (PAR) yang menekankan partisipasi aktif antara pengajar dan peserta, serta bimbingan langsung dalam memperbaiki bacaan Al-Qur’an dari segi tajwid, makharijul huruf, dan pemahaman makna ayat. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode tilawah secara sistematis mampu meningkatkan keterampilan membaca Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan benar, menumbuhkan kecintaan terhadap kitab suci, serta membangun rutinitas membaca yang berkelanjutan. Sementara itu, metode tadabbur efektif dalam memperdalam pemahaman makna ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an, mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta menanamkan nilai-nilai spiritual dan moral yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Integrasi kedua metode ini tidak hanya memperkuat aspek teknis dan kognitif, tetapi juga membentuk karakter Islami yang berakhlak mulia, sehingga mendukung tujuan pendidikan Islam yang holistik dan relevan dengan kebutuhan generasi muda saat ini. Abstract

Community service is an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which emphasizes the real contribution of academics in addressing the socio-religious needs of society. This activity was carried out through the regular Didikan Subuh program at the mosque in Tarai Bangun Village with the aim of instilling Islamic values, cultivating worship practices from an early age, and strengthening the role of the mosque as a center of non-formal education. The method used was a participatory method with a descriptive qualitative approach, with the subjects of the activity being elementary school children totaling 35–45 participants. The program was implemented throughout September 2024, involving lecturers, students, mosque administrators, and the local community. The activities included the habituation of performing congregational Subuh prayers, tadarus (Qur’an recitation), interactive sermons, memorization of short prayers and verses, the delivery of Islamic exemplary stories, and the practice of daily Islamic manners. The results of the program indicated an increase in children’s enthusiasm with consistent attendance levels. They became more disciplined in performing worship, accustomed to reciting daily prayers, and showed positive behavioral changes both at home and at school. This program also strengthened the role of the mosque as a center for Islamic character development and enhanced synergy between higher education institutions and the community. Although there were challenges such as inconsistent attendance of some participants and limited time for memorization, solutions in the form of small study groups and simple rewards were effective in increasing children’s motivation. Thus, this program proved to be effective in shaping a Qur’anic generation with noble character while also strengthening the harmonious relationship between lecturers, students, mosque administrators, and the community

Abstract

General Background: Islamic education aspires to develop individuals who are both intellectually capable and morally grounded.Specific Background: Current implementations of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character curriculum often emphasize formal knowledge while underrepresenting integrative Islamic values. Knowledge Gap: There is limited curriculum design that holistically reflects Islamic epistemology by incorporating the classical concepts of ta’dīb, tarbiyah, and ta’līm. Aims: This study aims to formulate a reconstructed model for the PAI and Character curriculum based on Islamic epistemology by integrating these three foundational concepts. Results: Through a qualitative literature-based approach, this research identifies a three-domain framework: the value domain (ta’dīb), the process domain (tarbiyah), and the knowledge domain (ta’līm), aligned with the ideal of shaping an insān kāmil (perfected human). Novelty: The proposed model offers a comprehensive epistemological integration rarely seen in existing PAI curriculum frameworks. Implications: This study highlights the urgency of value reorientation in curriculum design and underlines the need for systematic teacher training to ensure effective implementation.  Highlights:  Integrates value, process, and knowledge domains rooted in Islamic thought. Abstract

Desain pembelajaran memiliki peran krusial dalam meningkatkan efektivitas proses belajar-mengajar dengan menyesuaikan metode, strategi, dan teknologi sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa akibat kebiasaan konsumsi media digital yang berlebihan juga mempengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan inovasi dalam desain pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif, berbasis teknologi, dan mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan serta motivasi siswa dalam proses belajar. Melalui evaluasi, pendidik dapat menilai apakah metode, media, dan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa atau perlu diperbaiki. Evaluasi juga berfungsi sebagai umpan balik bagi pengembangan kurikulum serta peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan. Pendekatan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah (library research) dengan menggunakan berbagai literatur atau sumber tertulis, seperti buku, catatan, jurnal, maupun laporan hasil penelitian terdahulu. Proses kegiatan pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam mencakup tiga tahap utama, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi pembelajaran mencakup tiga aspek utama, yaitu kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Langkah-langkah evaluasi instrumen hasil pembelajaran meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, analisis data, dan tindak lanjut. Kesesuaian desain pembelajaran dengan kurikulum Islam sangat penting untuk memastikan bahwa pendidikan tidak hanya berorientasi pada pencapaian akademik, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter Islami.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the role of Islamic education based on fiqh in enhancing the quality of learning and shaping individuals who are intellectually, morally, and spiritually competent, as well as capable of facing the challenges of globalization while adhering to Islamic values. The research method employed in this study is descriptive qualitative. Education is a lifelong process that develops individuals to live meaningfully and sustain life. The role of fiqh in education, particularly at the madrasa level, is crucial in equipping students with knowledge and understanding of Islamic teachings, especially regarding worship and morality. Through comprehensive and holistic learning, Islamic education seeks to cultivate well-rounded individuals (insan kamil) who are not only successful in worldly matters but also attain eternal happiness in the hereafter, while preparing the younger generation to confront the challenges of modern times without losing their identity or Islamic values.
