Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine the relationship between interest and learning outcomes in class X history subjects at senior high school 1 Sindue. Methodology: This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study was class X students of senior high school 1 Sindue, totaling 140 people, while the sample was 35 people. Data collection techniques use observation techniques, questionnaires and test questions. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Main Findings: Product moment calculation results obtained a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.781 or 7.177%. To find out whether the value obtained through the correlation coefficient has meaning or not, hypothesis testing is carried out. Based on the t test, it is known that tcount is greater than t table or t count 7.177 > ttable 1.692, so the correlation that occurs has meaning ( rejected and accepted). So in this research, there is a relationship between interest and learning outcomes in class X history subjects at senior high school 1 Sindue. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research creates new knowledge by revealing the relationship between interest and learning outcomes in history subjects at senior high school 1 Sindue, contributing to the understanding of the factors that influence student academic achievement. This can provide readers with insight into the extent to which students' interests can influence their learning outcomes in history subjects.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to address the low student learning outcomes and motivation in the history learning subjects of class XII students at vocational school Tamalatea Makassar by using film media as teaching material and examining its effectiveness in enhancing the student learning achievement and interest. Methodology: This research uses a quantitative method with a population of all class XII students at Tamalatea vocational High School and a sample of 25 students. The data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires and documentation methods. The data analysis technique uses descriptive inferential statistical techniques and qualitative descriptive methods. Main Findings: The research data shows that using film media as teaching material can improve the history subject grades of class XII students at vocational school Tamalatea Makassar. The average score increases from 29.88 with a standard deviation of 6.948 to 84.40 with a standard deviation of 6.481 after using film media, exceeding the expected outcome of 75%. Novelty/Originality of this study: Used film media as teaching material in the history learning subjects of class XII students at vocational school Tamalatea Makassar, which may have different characteristics and needs from other students in other regions or countries. The research also contributes to the existing knowledge in the field of history education and media education, by showing the positive influence of film media on the student learning outcomes and motivation. The research has implications for the improvement of the history curriculum and the teacher training program in vocational schools.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to address the low student interest and engagement in the history learning subjects of General Soedirman’s Guerrilla War by developing a digital comic-based history learning media and examining its effectiveness in enhancing the student learning motivation and achievement. Methodology: The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method adapted from the ADDIE development design. The research subjects are 20 students in senior high school in Surakarta and Pakistan. The data collection technique is a test. Main Findings: The research data shows that the digital comic-based history learning media of General Soedirman’s Guerrilla War is effective and suitable for use. The validation by material experts shows that the learning media material has a very good quality with an average score of 89.6%. The media validation results show that the learning media is very good and suitable for application in the learning process with an average score of 84.6%. The results of the One-to-one Test, Small Group Test, and Field Test show that the learning media can improve the student learning motivation and achievement with an average score of 71.4%, 74.2%, and 78.8%, respectively, exceeding the expected outcome of 70%. Novelty/Originality of this study: The research novelty to develop a digital comic-based history learning media of General Soedirman’s Guerrilla War, which is a significant historical event in Indonesia. The research has implications for the improvement of the history curriculum and the student learning interest and engagement in history subjects.”

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The research aims to: 1) determine attitudes towards protecting the campus environment for Geography education students, 2) determine attitudes towards preserving the campus environment for Geography education students, 3) determine attitudes towards utilizing the campus environment for Geography education students. Methodology: The Geography education student population was 197 students, the sampling technique used purposive sampling with the characteristics of the 2006-2010 class of students who had taken PKLH, namely 50 students. The variables in the research are attitudes towards protecting, preserving and utilizing the campus environment for Geography education students. The data analysis technique uses descriptive percentages. Main Findings: The research results showed that as many as 90% of Geography education students were in the good category in being aware of the campus. Students have attitudes towards environmental protection such as views, feelings and efforts to plant trees and to attend seminars in the context of environmental protection on campus. Students have an attitude towards preserving the environment, such as having views, feelings and tendencies to act on waste management, reducing paper use and saving electrical energy on campus. Students have an attitude towards sustainable use of the environment, such as having views, feelings and tendencies towards action towards recycling rubbish, composting, using used goods on campus. Novelty/Originality of this study: Due to the fact that there are still some students who do not have an environmentally conscious attitude, this research examines the Environmental Conscious Attitude of Geography Education Students.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Identify the learning of Pancasila values in Civics subjects in junior high schools, and identify problems with learning Pancasila values in Civics subjects and efforts to solve them in junior high schools. Methodology: This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were school principals, citizenship education teachers, and students. Data collection techniques in this research used interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The data validity checking technique uses triangulation with data sources from interviews, class observations, and documentation. Data analysis uses qualitative analysis. Main Findings: The discovery in this research is that learning Pancasila values in Citizenship Education subjects at junior high school uses various models that vary in each lesson, such as the model of teaching values in direct teaching, student involvement, and critical pedagogy. The obstacles faced in learning Pancasila values in civics subjects at junior high schools are environmental factors, limited learning time, limitations of learning media, and the classroom climate, which is not conducive when learning takes place. Third, the efforts made to overcome obstacles to learning Pancasila values are that teachers try to approach students, provide an example to all school members, and utilize time as optimally as possible to achieve learning objectives. Novelty/Originality of this study: The efforts made by teachers to deal with the obstacles they face, teachers try to approach students and provide an example to all school members. Utilize time as optimally as possible so that learning objectives are achieved.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: Analyse various literature studies on the Inquiry Social Complexity-STEAM model based on Math Trail-Virtual Reality activities with Javanese cultural nuances in improving students' critical thinking skills. Methodology: This research method uses a literature review. Researchers look for data from books, journals, or relevant research articles and include them in the findings and discussion section to reach a conclusion. This research uses descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques to study literature by describing the results of sources obtained either through books, journals, or related research articles. Main Findings: The syntax of inquiry social complexity STEAM learning model based on math trail virtual reality activities with Javanese cultural nuances can be concluded that each syntax encourages students to find, investigate, construct, and integrate the knowledge gained to form better critical thinking skills by accommodating all aspects of students' abilities with different levels to participate in every aspect and step of learning. Novelty/Originality of this study: The addition of the STEAM approach, especially in the Inquiry Social Complexity Learning model, and math trail-based activities using virtual reality technology that has never been done before or integrated into a maths classroom.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To develop booklet media that is effective and appropriate to the needs of young women in high schools, in terms of education on preventing vaginal discharge or Flour Albus, with the aim of increasing their knowledge, awareness and reproductive health behavior. Methodology: The research method used is RnD with a 4D design. Defining needs was carried out through questionnaires to determine the needs of student. Design was created based on the results of the definition. Development is carried out by prelevant design and content. Distribution of booklets is direct distribution in schools. Main Findings: The development of a media booklet about Flour Albus prevention education for young women in high schools was validated by experts with results that were suitable for use and had a significant positive impact in increasing students' knowledge about reproductive health problems. The main findings show that the use of the booklet has succeeded in increasing awareness of adolescent girls about the signs and symptoms of Flour Albus, as well as the preventive steps they can take. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is lies in a holistic approach that pays attention to the special needs of adolescent girls in developing booklet media on the prevention of Flour Albus, integrating accurate information with a visually attractive design to increase engagement and understanding of adolescent girls at the high school level.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of student interns on service quality and consumer satisfaction in using the services of the O2 Weston Hotel in Jambi, which is an important factor in improving the guests' stay experience. Methodology: This research method uses a quantitative approach by randomly sampling 60 consumers of the Odua Weston Hotel in Jambi. Data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire compiled based on variables related to service quality and consumer satisfaction. Data analysis was carried out using a regression test to measure the relationship between the variables involved in this research. Main Findings: The research results show that there is a significant relationship between service quality and consumer satisfaction in using the services of the Odua Weston Hotel in Jambi. Regression analysis shows that service quality has a strong positive influence on consumer satisfaction, with a high and statistically significant regression coefficient value. This shows that the higher the quality of service provided by the hotel, the higher the level of consumer satisfaction. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research lies in the approach of using regression methods to explore in depth the influence between service quality and consumer satisfaction at the Odua Weston Hotel in Jambi, which provides a valuable contribution in strengthening understanding of the factors that influence consumer satisfaction in the context of the hotel industry.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of using the Education Hotel as a base for innovative learning for students of the hotel accommodation program at public vocational secondary schools 4 Jambi City. Methodology: The type of research used in this research is naturalistic qualitative. The sample for this research was 30 students of the hospitality accommodation skills program at public vocational secondary schools 4 Jambi City. The data collection technique used is observation. The data analysis technique in this research will be carried out holistically and structured, in accordance with a naturalistic qualitative approach. Main Findings: The use of Edotel at public vocational secondary schools 4 Yogyakarta by students of the hotel accommodation program based on the Front Office sector is included in the high category. Meanwhile, the use of Edotel at public vocational secondary schools 4 Jambi City by students of the hotel accommodation program based on Housekeeping is in the low category.. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research presents a new concept by introducing an innovative approach using Hotel Education as the main learning platform for Hospitality Accommodation Program students.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine the perception of visitors who carry out recreational sports activities at the Kota Baru sports hall, Jambi Province Methodology: This study employed a quantitative method with a descriptive design. The sample was selected using simple random sampling technique. The instrument utilized in this research was a questionnaire assessing public perception in recreational sports activities at Kota Baru Sports Hall, Jambi. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics. Main Findings: The research conducted at Kota Baru Jambi sports hall reveals that public perception of recreational sports activities is predominantly positive, with 53.3% of respondents rating it as quite good. The study highlights the significance of recreational sports in promoting healthy lifestyles and social interaction. Additionally, it emphasizes the need for policy interventions to enhance facilities and diversify recreational offerings. This research contributes to understanding public perceptions and underscores the importance of recreational sports in fostering community well-being. Further investigation is recommended to explore specific factors influencing participation. Novelty/Originality of this study: The study at Kota Baru Jambi sports hall unveils public perception of recreational sports, emphasizing its positive impact on health and social interaction. It underscores the importance of policy interventions for facility enhancement and activity diversification. This research contributes to understanding community perceptions and promoting well-being through recreational sports. Further exploration of participation influencers is recommended.
