Abstract

The puposes of this research is to examine the diversity of fruit-producing trees that can be consumed. The object of this research are all fruit-producing trees in the plot or observation path, which is the limitation is the fruits that can be consumed by human. This research have been done at IUPHHK-HTI PT. Bhatara Alam Lestari. The printed path has been used to determine the plots and observation paths of fruit-producing trees diversity that can be consumed on the ground. The result of the research found that there are 12 kinds of tree producers offorest fruit consumption, they are asam-asam, cempedak hutan, durian hutan, jungkang, kandis, kelampai, keranji, medang asam, nyatoh/sangai, petai hutan, rambutan hutan, ubah. The value of the dominant index (C) at the research area is quite poor, because the value of the dominant index from all the lane is not reached the highest index value of dominance yet (C-1). This indicates that the community not found one or two tree producing fruit consumption who dominated on a community forest secondary , while index value diversity its kind low because less than the value 1 , this showed that on a community many those kinds of composing under each organizations research is low. To value index provided the global financing of other firms ahmad abundance of offerings shared with or far higher than those, because the pattern of spreading on this community can be equally on each its kind.Keyword: Diversity, tree producing fruit, secondary forest

Abstract

Since a long time ago, Indonesians have already known and utilized medicinal plants to overcome health problems. Tanjungpura University (UNTAN) was a part of the green open space in Pontianak, where there are green vegetation surroundings, whether plants , stakes, poles, or trees. Some of those plants have the potential to come as a medicinal. This research aimed to find the value of medicinal plants’ diversity in Tanjungpura University forestry. The advantage of this research will hopefully provide some knowledge about medicinal plant which later can be managed and preserved in Tanjungpura University. This research was conducted in the secondary forest of forestry faculty and Tanjungpura University Arboretum. This research used survey listen double ply technique as the method. Every surveillance partition have a size of 20 x 20 m, consisting of 8 partition on each forest, made up a total  of 0,64 Ha. Based on the research findings of medicinal plants in secondary Arboretum forest at seedling levels = 1,03, sapling = 0,88, pole = 0,19, tree = 0,97 while the secondary forest of forestry faculty at the seedling level = 0,79, sapling = 0,58, pole = 0,55, tree = 0,86.Keyword : Arboretum, Forest, Medicinal Plants, Species Diversity, Survey Methods.

Abstract

Air Merah is one of the candidate sites Ecotourism potentially high natural and other natural beauty, as a candidate region ecotourism destination, Red Water has its own characteristics (special interest) as local ceremonies and socio-economic life. This study was conducted to obtain data on the value of appeal contained in the Red Zone Air Travel for tourism development in particular in the hamlet Kab'Landak Mungguk. The method used was a descriptive analytic, ie with the intention of explaining all potential objects of research that has been observed and analyzed by using standard observation guidelines Raw Size or Standard Assessment and Development of Natural Attraction. Assessment consists of natural beauty, unique natural resources, natural resources stand, the integrity of natural resources, sensitive natural resources, choice of leisure activities, hygiene and local air and space for visitors. Based on the results of the overall study that assessed element of attraction, then after summed value of 123.15. This value is multiplied by the weighting criteria appeal to the area that is 6, so the value for the area of ??regional attractiveness criteria Ecotourism Air Merah to 123.15 X 6 = 738.9, as compared with the Classification element Object Development Ecotourism Nature Air, the area Red area has an appeal that is being (D) to be developed into a natural tourist attraction. Air Merah has good prospects in the development of nature tourism in the future, especially when supported interactive cooperation between the government, public, and private parties / investors, so the need for the determination of the status of the region and the juridical protection of the local government in order to protect against potential appeal in the Air Merah. Abstract

The forest is a collection of plants dominated by trees with woody vegetation and other vegetation (Arif, 1994). In the absence of replanting or rejuvenation will threaten forest sustainability. The objective of the study was to assess the ecology and potential of nyatoh trees. Provided information on the ecology and potential of nyatoh trees in secondary forest areas. This research was conducted by survey method, the technique of placing the sample was a combination of path and plot line. Each path was placed systematically. The width of the line was 20 m, 750 m long with 7 observation lines. In this path, the measurement of seedling, stake, pole, and tree were done. The result of data analysis in secondary forestwere 46 tree species at all growth level, from 46 species of tree there were 2 species of nyatoh tree ie nyatoh klincir (Palaquium rostratum) and nyatoh sangai (Palaquium obtusifolium). The dominant plant species for seedlings, stakes, poles and trees were wood with the value of INP respectively 16,18%, 24,74%, 25,26% and 28,26%. Types strongly associated with nyatoh include Mentibu (Dactylocladus stenostachys Oliv) with Ochiai index 0.51, followed by Change (Eugenia sp) with index of 0.49, Tekam (Hopea dasyphyla V.SI) with index of 0.49.Keywords: Palaquium spp, Nyatoh Ecology, Nyatoh Potential, Secondary Forest

Abstract

Agarwood’s is a product of non timber forest products in the form of lumps, flakes or powder have a distinctive fragrance aroma emanates from the womb chemicals of gubal. The benefits of Aloe for deodorizers, room, body cosmetics, medicines and simple. The stands are agarwood (Aquilaria malaccensis Lamk) in natural forests declined due to logging is done in vain, so type A.malaccensis entered in Appendik II of CITES (Convention On International Trade In Endangered Species). To support the efforts of the conservation and sustainability of production, as well as anticipate the development of value to the market and demand continues to increase, the need to perform planting and cultivation. But this time, high-quality agarwood trees not yet available so that required good quality seeds. Seeds like this can be obtained by using seeds from the tree stem through the process of glorification (test line). One that could serve as the seed-producing trees, the forest is the agarwood (Aquilaria malaccensis) contained in Demplot Forestry District Office of Ketapang. But to point the tree seed producer, should begin by doing a test descent. The problem to date, yet gleaned information genetic properties of the agarwood tree. So that needs to be done heritabilitas/test type a. ardesiacus in Demplot Forestry District Office of Ketapang. This research aims to know the: (1) genetic variation of tree diameter and height added a. ardesiacus; (2) the value of the heritabilitas family on the character height and diameter of plant; (3) genetic traits observed among all the test of a. ardesiacus. The results of the study, expected to be material to obtain tree seed-producing qualified as a superior especially in order planting Aloes in the future. This research uses experimental methods in the form of factorial with Randomised Complete Block Desing then with Deuteronomy as much as 5 blocks and each block consists of 10 families, with 5 number of trees exist, so treeplot 250. The results showed the plant A.malaccensis aged 4 years in demplot showed variation in the nature of plant height and diameter. Variation characteristics of high properties and properties/diameter of the plant is affected by genetic factors as high as estimates the value of heritabilitas to the nature of the height and diameter of the value above 0.8. Based on those results, the selection may be made at Demplot Department of Forestry to locate seeds as a source tree plus with the desired properties criteria. The genetic correlation between height and diameter of the plants shown through analysis of correlation regression, show a positive. The positive correlation show that every high added value added is always followed by the diameter of the plant. Keyword : Test of heritability, A.malaccensis.
