Abstract

In addition, water is non biological factor from the forest that has an important role, especially for people who lived in that area. The availability of the water in one area have to be describe to explore that the potential and availability of the water in the area. For Melancar river, there’s no research about the availability of the river water. This research aims to study water debit of Melancar river in protected area of Gunung Loncek in Kecamatan Anjongan Kabupaten Pontianak in rainy and dry. It also explain the condition of vegetation in Gunung Loncek. The results show that water debit of Melancar river in dry days was 0,0278 m3/s and the debit in rainy days was 0,0392 m3/s. The function of the forest in Gunung Loncek area is important to manage water availability, it is shown by the difference of the Melancar river’s debit value between rainy and dry days is not too far evently it is significantly different. The availability of the Melancar river’s water is still good enough and it still can supply  people who lived in Melancar river area for their daily used. Abstract

AbstractGanoderma is a pathogen cause rot root desease which attack the plant with a wide range of ages. It is necessary to do research to know level of acacia plant resistance at 1 month and 3 months on Ganoderma infection. The research aims was to determine the effect of Ganodermainfecton on acacia resistance at the age of 1 month and 3 month. The research used a factorial completely randomized design which consist of two treatment factor namely Ganoderma and age of seedling. Ganoderma treatment is control (G0), Ganoderma from palm oil (G1), Ganoderma from the acacia host (G2), Ganoderma from the rubber host (G3). The age treatment of seedling is 1 month acacia seedlings and 3 month acacia seedlings. Each treatment was repeated 3 times with 4 plants per replication resulting in 96 experimental units. Research observation variable is desease severty index by in vivo and dry weight of the plant. The result showed Ganoderma is pathogenic in 1 month acacia seedling with a severity index value of 0,6 and 3 month acacia seedling with a severity index value of 1. Dry weight of plant control treatment of acacia seedling age 3 months higher than other treatment that is 11,27. 3 month old acacia seedlings are more susceptible and rapidly cause symptoms of Ganoderma infection than 1 month old acacia seedlings. Keywords: Acacia mangium seedling, Ganoderma sp., In vivo Infection

Abstract

Tembawang Ampar is located at the Village of Cempedak, District of Tayan Sanggau. Human activities to use and manage of this tembawang affected the sustainability of the forest ecosystem. The objectives of  this study is to determine the diversity, the potency and the most dominant species of tembawang Ampar forest. The research was conducted by applying survey method with  stratified sampling. Within each stratum (1. dominated by fruit tree; 2. rubber; and 3. apik), we used survey technique with a combination of line transects method with systematic plot samplings). Our research indicated that there were 97 species of vegetation registered, which were grouped into 34 family. The analysis of the Shannon-Wiener diversity index showed that species diversity of forest vegetation within  in the tembawang Ampar dominated by rubber and Apik plant is lower than fruit tree cover. The diversity Indexes of rubber and apik plat were H '<1, the while the area of fruit trees showed  diversity Index between1 ≤ H '≤ 3. The most dominant species and the greatest potency in the tembawang Ampar forest is  rubber plant (Hevea brasilliensis Will ex A. Juss) of family Euphorbiaceae. Abstract

This research aims to count the number of individuals and the number of groups of proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus, Wurmb). Before determining the location of the research, first, field orientation was conducted. The transects were placed purposively as many as 6 transects at locations determined to be a place or habitat of proboscis monkey according to the results of orientation, and the implementation used the river survey method (JCM Sha, et al., 2008). The data collected were entered into the table and then the number of individuals and the number of population groups were counted. Prediction was made on density of individual/ha and density of group/ha. The results of data analysis showed that at a 95% confidence interval of individual density of proboscis monkey population lies between 0.50 to 2.82 individuals/ha, with a density of population groups lying between 0.09 to 0.26 group/Ha. For the 99% confidence interval of individual density of proboscis monkey population, it lies between -0.27 / ha to 3.59 individuals/ha, with a density of population of group lying between 0.03 to 0.32 group/Ha. Keyword: proboscis monkey, river survey, number of population, number of groups.
