Abstract

Indonesian tropical forest is known for its high diversity and density. Among it’s advetages, urban forest is expected to maintain the forest performance witrh thre opesific diversity and density in order to support this function. Study and analisis on forest inventory was conducted on a 150 ha area of Gunung Sari urban forest on May 2014. The tree analysis was executed with transect method which was represented overall area of Gunung Sari. Results investigated that there were 53 tree species found, included into 26 family, 2 of them are under IUCN red list status, i.e, Alstonia scholaris and Aquilaria malaccensis. It was indicated that overall growth were low, species diversity index was intermediate. In general, forest cover still in good condition with seedling’s density 150 trees/ha and tree stage 55 trees/ha. Keywords : Abundance index, index  diversity of species, the status of IUCN red list, tree density.

Abstract

The forest is an area that is overgrown with thick trees and other plants. A collection of trees is conidered forest if it is able to create a microclimate and unique and different environmental conditions than other regions.  Customary forests are state forests that are within the territory of indigenous forest peoples. All forms of business and uses that use customary forest must certainly pay attention to the environment and  its conservation efforts. Species diversity is a measure that states the variation of plant species from a community that is influenced by the number of species and relative abudance of each species. The study aimed to determine the diversity of the tree level in the traditional forest of the Sahan instructors of Bengkayang Regency. The research method is  field survey using a striped line which is a combination of path and plot methods. The results showed that 93 species were classified as 38 families. The species composition is dominated by the type of Dryobalanops oblingifolia, Shorea leavis, Shorea parfifolia and Syzygium antisepticum. The type that has the highest INP value is Dryobalanops oblingifolia, Syzygium antisepticum, Shorea parfifolia, Shorea ovalis, Syzygium grande and Dryobalanops leavis. The dominance index has a value (0,12) which shows low dominance. The species diversity index has a value (1,61) belonging to the medium class. The species abudance index shows an almost even growth rate of trees which is indicated by the value (e) approaching  (1) which is 0,81.Keywords: community forest, diversity, forests.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about work complaints and the level of risk of posture when using Nyapar technology, and analyzed the effectiveness of fire extinguisher formation images based on the superiority of blackouts and officer work safety. The method used is the survey. A data throught the distribution of the questionnaire NBM and literature study. The results showed that there 9 complaints of body posture on the use of a manual extinguisher, and 10 postures on the use of deep peat extinguisher and 0 complaints in the mounting automatically extinguisher. All complaints are included in the low injury risk category. The effectiveness of the border formation by Hardiansyah et al. (2016) can prevent fire and maintain the safety of firefighters with a semicircular form of burned area. The formation the border by Sambusir (2016) only prevents fires in front of the border areal and is difficult to extinguish fires that move on the left and right side outside the protected areal. The Formations around the fire (Hardiansyah et al. 2016 and Sambusir, 2016) have the same shape so that outages are more effective because of the position of extinguishers that surround the fire and maintain the safety of officer. The combination formation by Hardiansyah et al. (2016) can extinguish the fire in a large area and the safety of officers is protected, just need 2 additional water pump machines so that performance of the 17 extinguishing units remains optimal. The combination formation by Sambusir (2016) can extinguish the fire over a large area, just need to change positions between manual officer firefighters with automated extinguishers to side by side without changing the shape of the formation so as to protect the work safety of officers. Keywords: NBM, Safety work, Technology Nyapar, The Formation of the Fire Brigade
