Abstract

Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) are non-nutrient organic compounds, which in small amounts can support, inhibit and can change the physiological processes of plants. On the PGR bosa used to stimulate shoot growth in pineapple leaf cutting is benzyl adeno purine (BAP) from the cytokines group. This study aims to find the concentration of cytokines for the growth of pineapple leaf cuttings. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 levels of Cytokinin treatment and each treatment had 4 replications, each replication had 5 samples, so there were 6 x 4 x 5 = 120 units of experiment. The treatment of cytokines consists of: s0 = without the administration of cytokines, s1 = 0.2 mg / l, s2 = 0.3 mg / l, s3 = 0.4 mg / l, s4 = 0.5 mg / l, s5 = 0.6 mg / l. The variables observed in this study were the time of formation of shoots (days), the percentage of shoot formation (%), shoot height (cm), number of shoots (shoots), number of leaves (strands). The results showed that the various cytokines concentration had non significant effect on the time of bud formation, shoot height, number of shoots and number of leaves.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prioritas strategi apa yang diutamakan dalam pengembangan usahatani jagung manis di Desa Rasau Jaya 1 Kecamatan Rasau Jaya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  metode deskriptif, dengan analisis SWOT dan metode AHP (Analitycal Hierarchy Process). Responden dalam penelitian yaitu para ahli yang berjumlah 7 orang dan petani jagug manis yang merupakan anggota POKTAN di Desa Rasau Jaya 1 Kacamatan Rasau Jaya berjumlah 7 orang. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang menjadi prioritas dan dapat diterapkan untuk pengembangan usahatani jagung manis di Desa Rasau Jaya 1 yaitu strategi Strengths-Opportunity (strategi S-O), alternatif pilihan strategi ialah memanfaatkan teknologi untuk memperoleh informasi pasar lebih luas, meningkatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia dan kelembagaan dengan pendidikan dan pelatihan, menerapkan sistem jaminan mutu produk segar.

Abstract

MS media in its manufacture requires chemicals that are currently not in cheap price, so need to find a cheaper alternative media but able to produce quality growth materials. The aim of this research is to get the best liquid organic fertilizer (LOF)  type as the sub culture medium of orchid Vanda pumila x Vanda 3026. The research was conducted from January 10 to April 10, 2018 at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) design with 5 different types of LOF treatment. Each treatment was repeated 5 times, each experimental unit consisting of 4 plant samples. Variables observed is media with LOF types provide the same growth as media MS againts the time shoots form and the number of roots increases. The increase of the number of roots, the number of leaves, time shoots form, the number of shoots. The results of this study showed that the use of MS medium showed better results on the number of shoots and the increase in the number of leaves sub culture of orchids Vanda sp compared various types of LOF media.   Keyword: Liqued Organic Fertilizer, Orchid, Sub Culture media, Vanda sp

Abstract

ABSTRACT Characterization was very essential to identify the description of the black rice type characters. This study aims to determine the morphological and agronomic characteristics of Tabah black rice qualitatively and quantitatively, based on the Guidance of Rice Characterization and Evaluation System (Ministry of Agriculture, 2003). The research was carried out in tidal rice at the Sungai Kakap Seed Center Developer. Observations were made measure the qualitative and quantitative black rice phenotypes. The results showed that the agronomic character of Tabah black rice had the ability to medium breed (14 tillers), plant height in the maximum vegetative phase 119,08 cm classified as medium, panicle and overall neck panicle emergence, grain fertility 84,48% classified as fertile and plant age 151 days, and were classified as deep length. Morphological characters were seed height 37,48 cm, leaf length 58,72 cm classified as medium, leaf width 1,72 cm classified as wide, surface of rough hairy leaves, 37,6o leaf angle classified as upright, flag leaf angle 44,8o classified as medium, light green leaf neck, white leaf ears colorless, golden yellow leaf segment, light green leaves (Yellow-Green Group 146 B), green leaf midrib, ligula is 1,8 cm classified as long, ligula is white (Yellow-Green Group 145 A), ligula shape is 2-cleft, the stem angle was 33,7o classified as medium, the stem was yellow gold (Yellow-Green Group 151 D), the panicle was 27,43 cm, panicle type was between medium and open, drooped panicle, seed length 9,87 mm was classified as very long, seed width was 2,72 mm, seed thickness was 2,05 mm and weight of 100 grains was 2,17 grams with  13,6% moisture content. Keywords : agronomy, black rice, characterization, morphology, Tabah rice

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk kandang ayam dan abu sabut kelapa yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis di tanah aluvial. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Kalimas Kecamatan Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya.  Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Faktorial, dengan pola Rancangan Acak Kelompok terdiri dari 2 faktor. Pupuk kandang ayam (K) terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu: k1 (pupuk kandang ayam sebanyak 10 ton/ha), k2 (pupuk kandang ayam sebanyak 15 ton/ha) k3 (pupuk kandang ayam sebanyak 20 ton/ha) dan abu sabut kelapa (A) terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu : a1 ( pemberian abu sabut kelapa 0,613 ton/ha),  a2 (pemberian abu sabut kelapa 1,23 ton/ha). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga terdapat 30 petak bedengan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis pupuk kandang ayam dan abu sabut kelapa memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata dan tidak terjadi interaksi terhadap semua variable pengamatan tinggi tanaman, volume akar, berat kering tanaman, berat tongkol kelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot dan panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot. Sehingga tidak terdapat perlakuan terbaik. Pemberian pupuk kandang ayam dan abu sabut dengan perlakuan K3A1 (pupuk kandang ayam 20 ton/ha dan abu sabut kelapa 0,613 ton/ha) merupakan perlakuan yang efektif karena memberikan kecenderungan lebih tinggi walaupun tidak memberikan pertambahan yang signifikan.Kata Kunci:

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi dan frekuensi pemberian pupuk organik cair yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan anggrek Cattleya sp pada masa vegetatif. Penelitian dilakukan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura selama 4 bulan penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan split plot, sebagai anak petak konsentrasi pupuk (K), 3 taraf perlakuan dan petak utama frekuensi (F), 3 taraf perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan diulang 3 kali dan setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 3 sampel tanaman, sehingga dihasilkan 81 satuan percobaan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah konsentrasi, k1= 1 ml/l air, k2= 3 ml/l air, k3= 5 ml/l air dan frekuensi f1= 2 hari sekali, f2= 3 hari sekali f3= 4 hari sekali. Variabel yang diamati iyalah pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan lebar daun, pertambahan panjang daun, pertambahan jumlah tunas, pertambahan jumlah akar.Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa interaksi  pemberian POC super bionik dengan konsentrasi dan frekuensi yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata pada pertambaahan panjang daun, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan lebar daun, pertambahan jumlah tunas dan pertambahan jumlah akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi pemberian  POC Super bionik dengan konsentrasi 1 ml/liter air dan frekuensi 4 hari sekali memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertambahan panjang daun pada  pertumbuhan  tanaman anggrek Cattleya sp.  Kata Kunci: Cattleya sp, frekuensi dan konsentrasi, pupuk organik cair, super bionik

Abstract

ABSTRACTRadish (Raphanus sativus L) is a horticultural plant that is feasible to be cultivated intensively in West Kalimantan, in which a category of soil that can be used for cultivating radishes is alluvial soil. Providing of bokashi on the soil is expected to improve soil structure so that the growth of radishes can be optimized, loose soil structure will facilitate the development of radish roots. This study aims to find out one of the best dosages of bokashi for the growth and yield of radishes on alluvial soil. This research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University Pontianak, starting on 29 April 2018 to 21 June 2018 using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 5 replications. The treatment in question: K0 = without giving of imperata bokashi, K1 = 400 g/ polybag or equivalent to 10 tons/ha, K2 = 600 g/ polybag or equivalent to 15 tons/ ha, K3 = 800 g/polybag or equivalent 20 tons/ha, K4 = 1,000 g/polybag or equivalent to 25 tons/ ha. Variables observed in this study include: number of leaves, fresh weight of tubers, tuber length, tuber diameter, plant dry weight, leaf area and leaf chlorophyll. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of alang-alang bokashi dosage of 600 g/polybag was effective in increasing the number of leaves, while the effective diameter of tubers is shown in the allocation of reeds of 400g/polybag. Giving the dosage of bokashi in various dosages gave the growth of radishes that have not different significantly.                                                                                Keywords: Alluvial, Radish, Bokashi, Imperata.

Abstract

Budidaya kacang hijau di tanah aluvial dihadapkan pada kendala, salah satunya seperti struktur tanah yang padat dan ketersediaan hara yang rendah. Pupuk kotoran ayam dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk memperbaiki kesuburan tanah, sedangkan pupuk posfat untuk menambah ketersediaan unsur hara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi pupuk kotoran ayam dan posfat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang hijau pada tanah aluvial. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak pada tanggal 10 Oktober sampai dengan 26 Desember 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 taraf perlakuan dan 5 ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 4 sampel tanaman. Perlakuan tersebut yaitu p1 (pupuk kotoran ayam 40 g/polibag + posfat 1,4 g/polibag), p2 (pupuk kotoran ayam 80 g/polibag + posfat 1,12 g/polibag), p3 (pupuk kotoran ayam 120 g/polibag + posfat 0,84 g/polibag), p4 (pupuk kotoran ayam 160 g/polibag + posfat 0,56 g/polibag), dan p5 (pupuk kotoran ayam 200 g/polibag + posfat 0,28 g/polibag). Variabel pengamatan yaitu tinggi tanaman, volume akar, berat kering tanaman, jumlah polong pertanaman, berat kering biji pertanaman dan berat 100 biji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kombinasi pupuk kotoran ayam dan posfat dengan dosis 80 g/polibag + posfat 1,12 g/polibag merupakan dosis efektif untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang hijau pada tanah aluvial.

Abstract

      Spodoptera litura (F) is one of the polyphagic pests. This study aims to determine the biological differences of S. litura (F) in artificial feed in the laboratory. The research was carried out in the laboratory of Plant Pest Faculty of Agriculture of Tanjungpura University from February - April. S. litura (F) is preserved in plastic cups (ice hood). The feed used was Phaseolus vulgaris L. and Vigna unguiculata L. The observations were made on 100 tails as individual cohorts per glass. The results of this study showed that Phaseolus vulgaris L. development period of S. litura (F) from hatching to imago ranged from 27 - 34 days, egg stage ranged from 3 - 9 days. The larvae consist of 5 instar, long instar stages I (2-3 days), instar II (4-6 days), instar III (2-4 days), instar IV (2 - 6 days), and instar V (1 - 4 days), pupa (5 - 12 days). The length of life of male imago ranges from 1 - 13 days and female imago 1 - 15 days. The post-spawning period ranges from 1 - 5 days. Fertility of eggs with an average of 84.08%. The number of eggs produced an average of 2,195.7 grains. In the feed Vigna unguiculata L. the developmental period of S. litura (F) from hatching to become imago ranged from 31 - 42 days, the stage of eggs ranged from 3 to 10 days. The larvae consist of 5 instar, long instar stages I (2-4 days), instar II (3 - 10 days), instar III (4 - 13 days), instar IV (3 - 11 days), and instar V (2 - 6 days), pupa (7 - 18 days). The length of life of the male imago ranges from 3 to 14 days and the female imago ranges from 2 - 17 days. Pre-breeding periods range from 3 - 9 days. The post-spawning period ranges from 1 to 6 days. Fertility of eggs an average of 77.06%. The number of eggs produced an average of 802.5 grains. Based on the average life cycle and the number of eggs produced then Phaseolus vulgaris L. can be recommended as feed for mass propagation.Keywords: Artificial Feed, Biology, Phaseolus vulgaris L., S. litura (F),   Vigna unguiculata L.

There are some constrain in obtaining common tissue culture medium, such as hard to make, the chemicals is hard to find and the price is relatively high so it needs an alternative medium that is easily obtained and be able to give the same effect with commonly used tissue culture medium. Hydroponics fertilizer can be used as an alternative medium because it is easy to make and relatively low price compared to MS medium. The research aims to determine wether hydroponic fertilizers can be used as an alternative medium and to find the best type of hydroponic fertilizer to the growth of Dendrobium sp. orchid on tissue culture. The research was conducted from December 20, 2017 to March 20, 2018 at the Laboratory of Biotechnology Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor i.e. MS, WB Mix, Nutrisi Hidroponik, Veggie Mix, and Goodplant. The variables observed in this research include the increase number of leaves (piece), the increase number of root (piece), the time to buds appearance (weeks) and  number of buds (buds). The results showed that in general the use of hydroponic fertilizer as alternative medium for tissue culture medium provide equal response with MS medium to the growth of Dendrobium sp. orchids, but on MS medium the growth of buds is faster than all types of hydroponic fertilizer as alternative medium. Keyword : Alternative Medium, Dendrobium sp.
