Abstract

Indonesia's foreign debt presents a dilemma for the government because, on the one hand, repayment of maturing loans has become a burden in the government budget as an expense item that must be considered. Loans, on the other hand, are a source of government revenue that can be used to close the budget deficit. Economic variables are the focus of this research. The type of research is associative descriptive research, with secondary data acquired from relevant institutions and agencies from 208 to 2020 and evaluated using descriptive and time series analysis. The results showed that the Rupiah exchange rate had a significant effect on the development of Indonesia's foreign debt. This conclusion implies that the government must stabilize the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar in order to avoid the debt burden and interest payments being incurred and the occurrence of an economic crisis in the future. The public should utilize the government's jobless relief program. The higher the level of tax compliance from taxpayers, the higher state revenues and the ability to pay debts.

Abstract

During the decade, the Indonesians faced many economic challenges. Whether in the form of the industrial revolution 4.0 to the COVID19 pandemic. These challenges have led to economic transformation, starting from the agricultural, industrial, and service sectors. The success of this structural transformation is measured by the contribution of the agricultural, manufacturing, and service sectors to national income and employment. This study aims to analyze the transformation of the economic structure towards national income and employment with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Covid 19. This research is explanatory with a non-parametric correlation method. The analytical tool in this study is the Spearman correlation which is used to see changes in the transformation of the economic structure and employment in Indonesia. The type of data used is secondary data from BPS Indonesia. This study divides the economic sector into 17 main sectors by BPS Indonesia. The results showed a change in the structure of the Indonesian economy, although manufacturers were still the sector that contributed the most to Indonesia's national income. This also occurs in employment. There is a change in Indonesia"™s employment structure, although the largest absorption is still in the agricultural sector.JEL: O14, O15, J21.

Abstract

Kalimantan Barat is one of the individual provinces in Kalimantan due to its diverse geographical elevation among all districts. Mountains and hills dominate the districts near the border; lowlands and river banks dominate the urban areas. A geographical indication is a barrier to economic growth, as a simple growth from limited transportation. Efforts to optimize the economic sector are also carried out in forest management, including Kalimantan Barat as one of the world's lungs. The conversion of forest land functions is suspected to increase economic growth even though it must balance nature. This study aims to determine the significance of altitude as a fixed geographical indicator and forest density as a natural condition that can vary according to human activities. The height of area data and forest density, and the average economic growth in 14 districts/cities in Kalimantan Barat uses the Panel Least Square method. As a result, area height has a negative and significant effect on economic growth, whereas forest density has no such relationship. Simultaneously, both variable is having a substantial impact on economic growth in Kalimantan Barat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the extent of how the Islamic entrepreneurship and environment course at pesantren based colleges are able to build the character of preneur students. The research method is a quantitative descriptive method with data analysis techniques of SPLS3 which is an alternative method of SEM to analyze how the influence of Islamic entrepreneurship and environment course on the formation of preneur students"™ characters. The population in this study was 33 students of the Islamic Broadcast Communication Study Program of STIBA Ar Raayah Sukabumi, with the sample also 33 students but the one who filled out the questionnaires only 28 students which consist of 9 male students and 19 female students. The data collection technique is saturated sampling technique, which is a sampling technique using all population numbers as the respondents through a google form questionnaire. The results showed that the Islamic entrepreneurship course had no significant effect on the formation of the character of mahasantri preneur, this indicates that we need innovation in the learning process in this course. On the other hand, the environment has a great influence, this is because mahasantri always interact with asatidzah (lecturers) who run a business in their daily lives.JEL : A22, I20, M20.Keywords : islamic entrepreneurship, environment, mahasantri, college, pesantren.

Abstract

Separate studies on the impact of internet penetration on growth and per capita income levels, inequality, and poverty levels are still being discussed. Using data from 33 Indonesian provinces between 2008 and 2020, this paper investigates whether internet penetration modulates economic growth by reducing inequality and poverty. The Two-Way Fixed Effect (TWFE) econometric model was used. Two findings can be concluded from this paper. First, Indonesia's economic growth remains less inclusive, as evidenced by rising per capita income, which tends to reduce poverty but not income inequality. Second, Indonesia's economic growth tends to be less inclusive as an unintended consequence of internet penetration. Although it strengthens the effect on poverty reduction, on the other hand, the interaction of economic growth with internet penetration tends to exacerbate income inequality. Based on these findings, the study suggests that the government should improve advanced ICT skills and lower barriers to internet adoption, particularly for the less fortunate. The internet is expected to become a tool to achieve inclusive growth through expanding a newly established middle class instead of simply the economic transformation of the poor into non-poor households under this policy.

Abstract

The global Islamic market may be due to the fact that the growth rate of the Muslim population is almost double that of the Christians and is expected to double in the span of four decades. These conditions make many companies currently target sales to the Muslim consumer segment to take advantage of the available opportunities. This study aims to determine the effect of halal awareness and perceived quality on Muslim millennial purchasing decisions through brand image as an intervening variable. The study used a causal associative method with a quantitative approach. The sample used was 250 respondents from Muslim millennials throughout Indonesia and had consumed snacks. The hypothesis was tested using a Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the test results, it is known that halal awareness and perceived quality affect brand image and purchasing decisions. The brand image was found to mediate the variables of halal awareness and perceived quality of purchasing decisions. The implication of this research for marketers and producers of snack foods is as input in designing a more appropriate marketing strategy supported by Muslim millennial halal awareness.JEL : E24, E220, I25.
