Abstract

The government of Indonesia has issued a self-study curriculum for colleges based on the principles of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the digital age. The new rule recommends an online portfolio as a tool for measuring the success of educational programs. Students at Syiah Kuala University (USK) utilized Story Map electronic portfolios to hone their spatial skills in the General Compulsory Course on Disaster and Environmental Knowledge. This study aims to improve upon the concept of the Story Map and use it as a component of students' electronic portfolios in order to evaluate their capacity to plan for and respond to hydrometeorological disasters. The concept of the Story Map is created as a digital portfolio project, beginning with secondary materials including literature studies, raster and vector data from ESRI and Mapbox. The ability to perceive spatial relationships is measured by collecting primary data in the form of a questionnaire. The findings of a F (Simultaneous) statistical test for testing hypotheses are as follows: With Fcount > Ftable = 228.338 > 3.34, we get a value of F = 0.000<0.05. Both e-portfolios and narrative maps impact students' spatial abilities in relation to hydrometeorological disasters, as shown by the F test scores. T-tests for multiple variables Students' spatial intelligence is affected by the narrative map (X1) in the proportion of 4.746 > Tcount > Ttable. 2.048. The e-portfolio variable (X2) has a positive effect on students' spatial abilities (Y), with a value of Tcount > Ttable, or 14.063 > 2.048..

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the sustainability strategy of tilapia seed cultivation with a biofloc system followed by a SWOT matrix so that it was known whether this business could be continued with certain strategies that could be applied. The application of new technology in the form of biofloc technology has been tried in the process of tilapia seed cultivation in Jegu Village, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, but it is also necessary to study whether the new technology can be implemented sustainably by analyzing it using the SWOT Matrix. This study uses a descriptive method by determining the location by purposive sampling with the consideration that the research site already uses a biofloc system. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the position of cultivators is in quadrant III Turn Around/Stability (Change Strategy) followed by a SWOT matrix based on IFAS (Internal Strategic Factor Analysis Summary) and EFAS (External Strategic Factor Analysis Summary) so that the right strategy is obtained is the WO Strategy namely taking advantage of existing opportunities by improving the internal weaknesses of Mina Ayu group members. So that what needs to be implemented: (1) Cultivators to be able to make maximum use of the capital provided by the capital providing institution, (2) Cultivators to be able to make alternative feeds as a substitute for pellet feed, (3) Cultivators to utilize natural resources that support optimally for increase the number of seeds produced, (4) Cultivators to look for alternative markets other than marketing in Lake Batur to guard against disturbances for cultivators in Lake Batur so as not to interfere with the distribution of the seeds produced, and (5) Cultivators to take advantage of local government policies which supports hatchery activities.

Abstract

Interest rate changes result in a trade-off between reducing inflation and capital inflows. Capital inflow will reduce money market interest rates as low as possible, followed by lower lending and deposit rates. On the other hand, it is difficult to lower the benchmark interest rate due to inflation pressure. The asymmetric movement of lending and deposit interest rates to the benchmark interest rate has caused disturbances to the monetary transmission mechanism. The results of the estimated error-correction model for variable lending rates found that the long-term passthrough of Indonesian banks was significant but could have been better on interest rates on working capital loans and investment loans. This study shows an asymmetrical behavior in banking interest rates in Indonesia. The passthrough degree is typically slow when there is a decrease in the benchmark interest rate.

Abstract

Geographically and linguistically, Turkey has been at the core of the debate surrounding the conflict between East and the West and subsequently between the West and the Islamic world. Orhan Pamuk characterises Turkey as a "JanusNation" which within itself accommodated generational contradictions: between East and West, secularism and religion, and modernism and tradition. Pamuk does not choose one over the other but argues that the country must incorporate all of these contradictions.Orhan Pamuk's literary works are frequently characterised by the East-West conflicts leading to a sort of confusion or loss of personal identity. In the press announcement made on Orhan Pamuk's receipt of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2006, the Swedish Academy lauded Pamuk as a novelist "who in the quest for the melancholic soul of his native city has discovered new symbols for the clash and interlacing of cultures" (The Nobel Prize in Literature 2006). The clash between two dissimilar cultures East and West, and the phenomena of history and modernity and love and hate make the kernel of Pamuk's literary works. The article attempts to illustrate that the current world has experienced the transition from one stage to another; nonetheless, the dichotomy between the East and the West is still pervasive in the modern world. The East-West dichotomy has multiple implications in different disciplines, including sociology, geography, history, theology, and literary studies. Regardless of the differences in its practices, it continues to symbolise the historical separation or polarization between the East and the West, which still exists in the contemporary world. In this context, Orhan Pamuk have been chosen to investigate the scope and depth of the conflict between two cultures and ideologies.
