Abstract

The development of the livestock sector is part of the growth of the agricultural industry, as it holds strategic value in meeting food needs. The livestock subsector contributes to agricultural development, with the poultry industry being a key driver of business development in the livestock subsector. One interesting business activity to study in the livestock subsector is the broiler chicken business. Broiler chicken farming can be developed through a partnership model, namely a broiler chicken farm implemented using a nucleus-plasma scheme. This study aims to determine the partnership model implemented by Rizaldi Soetra with PT Ciomas Adisatwa and to determine the production costs and profits obtained from Rizaldi Soetra's broiler chicken farm. The study was conducted on Rizaldi Soetra's farm for two months, from June to August 2025 in Muaro Bodi Village, IV Nagari District, Sijunjung Regency. The study used 13,000 broiler chickens owned by Rizaldi Soetra during one production period to determine income and profits. The method used was a survey with direct field observations to obtain the necessary data. Data collection was conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that Rizaldi Soetra's broiler chicken farm, operating in partnership with PT Ciomas Adisatwa, is highly profitable for farmers. It can be concluded that the partnership between Rizaldi Soetra's broiler chicken farm and its partner company, PT Ciomas Adisatwa, spans from upstream to downstream. The production costs for this business per unit are Rp386,086,758.11, resulting in a profit of Rp53,317,857.89, with a R/C ratio of 1.14.

Abstract

The stingless bee honey agribusiness in Indonesia demonstrates strong economic potential but faces constraints in effective promotion and sustainable market network expansion. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a SOSTAC-based (Situation, Objectives, Strategy, Tactics, Action, and Control) marketing communication strategy among stingless bee farmer groups in Samarinda to optimize promotion and strengthen market partnerships. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through field observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model and validated through triangulation of sources and methods. The results revealed that 30 stingless bee farmer groups operate in Samarinda, of which only 41% utilize digital media for promotion. Implementation of the SOSTAC-based strategy increased brand awareness by 33%, online sales by 35%, and active partnerships by 67%. The most effective strategies included ecological digital storytelling, localized visual branding, and collaboration with culinary SMEs and online marketplaces. The SOSTAC-based communication strategy has proven effective in improving promotional performance, expanding partnerships, and strengthening the position of stingless bee honey as a competitive and sustainable local agribusiness product.

Abstract

Early detection of Anaplasmosis is essential to prevent infection in host cells. Anaplasmosis is transmitted through disease vectors that are usually transmitted by vectors (Karlsen, 2020). The main vector of Anaplasma phagocytophilum is the tick Ixodes ricinus. Anaplasmosis in cattle is generally caused by Anaplasma bovis, Anaplasma marginale, and Anaplasma centrale, which are reported to infect cattle. Confirmation of the diagnosis can be through blood tests and PCR. Appropriate diagnosis and therapy are necessary to prevent the condition of animals infected with blood parasites from worsening. This research data is based on data on Anaplasmosis cases in cattle collected from the health data of PFH cattle in Batu City. The research animals used were beef cattle, namely PFH cattle, with a total of 30 samples. Observations were first carried out in each sub-district, then 10% were taken from each sub-district in Batu City. This study aims to identify blood samples from dairy cattle based on sex, age, and breed of the cattle, namely Friesian Holstein Cross (PFH). Detection of Anaplasmosis in Friesian Holstein Cross (PFH) Cattle at the Animal Health Center and Slaughterhouse in Batu City was obtained. The diagnosis of anaplasmosis in animals was determined based on signals, anamnesis, and physical examination, confirmed by supporting examinations, namely blood smears and blood hematology. Treatment of anaplasmosis cases in Friesian Holstein cattle at the Batu Animal Health Center is with symptomatic therapy in the form of multivitamins (injectamine) and antibiotics (oxytetracycline).

Abstract

Organic fertilizer is the result of microbiological activity in decomposing organic matter, and has slow release properties (slowly available) but can be available longer in the soil than inorganic fertilizers. The application of organic fertilizer also plays a role in increasing soil microbial activity, suppressing plant diseases, and increasing nutrient absorption efficiency, thereby maintaining or increasing soil and plant productivity. Organic fertilizer can be produced from agricultural and livestock waste through fermentation or composting, resulting in liquid or solid organic fertilizer. This type of research is a field experiment aimed at determining the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth of Indigofera zollingeriana plants. The variables observed were branch growth, number of new shoots, leaves, and plant height. Based on the results of research on the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth of Indigofera zollingeriana at various treatment doses (10 ml, 20 ml, 30 ml, and 40 ml), it can be concluded that the application of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of Indigofera zollingeriana affects the growth of the number of leaves but does not affect the growth of the number of shoots, branches, and plant height.

Abstract

Milk is a highly nutritious food; however, its near-neutral pH and high nutrient content make it highly susceptible to microbial spoilage. Fermentation is an effective processing method to improve milk stability and quality through microbial activity. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of fermentation time on the chemical quality of cow’s milk fermented using Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast (SCOBY). The research was conducted using an experimental design with fermentation times of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 days at room temperature (±28 °C). The chemical parameters analyzed included pH, total titratable acidity, and viscosity. The results showed that fermentation time significantly affected the chemical characteristics of SCOBY-fermented cow’s milk. Increasing fermentation time led to a progressive decrease in pH and a significant increase in total titratable acidity due to the accumulation of organic acids produced by microbial metabolism. Viscosity exhibited significant changes during fermentation, characterized by a decrease at the early fermentation stage followed by an increase at longer fermentation times, which was associated with acid-induced protein destabilization and partial coagulation. In conclusion, fermentation time plays a crucial role in determining the chemical quality and rheological properties of cow’s milk fermented with SCOBY. It is recommended that fermentation time be carefully controlled to obtain fermented milk products with optimal chemical quality and acceptable physicochemical characteristics.

Abstract

The characteristics and price of qurbani goats before Eid al-Adha (EA) needs to be known as a guideline for farmers/traders in providing qurbani goats and the right time to buy sacrificial goats. The material is goats sold as qurbani animals in Semarang regency. The study used a survey method with purposive sampling based on goats that had been sold. The parameters observed were goat breed, body weight (BW), body measurements and goat prices from the 23rd to the 1st day before EA. The results showed that the goats purchased were mostly Jawarandu breed (96.7%), male, horned black and white body color combination (33.3%), an average body weight of 40.6 kg, chest circumference of 76.8 cm, body length of 68.2 cm, shoulder height of 70.9 cm, aged between 1-1.5 years, and an average price of Rp. 3,000,000 to Rp. 4,000,000 per head. The results of the correlation regression analysis showed that the relationship between the price of qurbani goats per head and the time before EA followed the equation y = 26,071x + 4,000,000, with an r value = 0.204 (low). The relationship between the price of goats per head and BW followed the equation y = 79,565x + 349,252 with an r value = 0.848 (very strong). The relationship between the price of goats per kg and the time before EA followed the equation y = 932.77x + 96,955 with an r value = 0.575 (moderate). The relationship between goat price per kg and BW followed the equation y = -313.31x + 101,636 with a value of r = 0.263 (low). The conclusion of the was study that the purchase of sacrificial goats were male Jawarandu breed, horned, weighing 40.6 kg, aged 1-1.5 years, and priced at Rp. 3,000,000 to Rp. 4,000,000 per head. The price of goat per head was more influenced by the weight of the goat than the time leading up to the EA, while the price of the goat per kg was more influenced by the time leading up to the EA than the weight of the goat.
