Abstract

Adolescent girls are significant because if the growth and development process at that time is optimal, it will produce healthy adolescent girls and in the end, it will produce healthy mothers to be as well. Adolescents tend to want to have an ideal body so neglect a healthy diet, followed by dense adolescent activities that make adolescent girl potentially experience health problems such as anemia so that researchers innovate drinks in the form of tomato juice and dates to increase hemoglobin levels apart from supplementation Fe. The type of this research is quantitative research. Quasi-experimental research design with pre-test design and post-test design with a control group. The sample in this study was Semarang Poltekkes students who lived in Semarang Poltekkes Dormitory and were aged 17-21 years and not menstruating. The sampling technique is by using purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis used is using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was no significant (p=0,309) effect of giving a combination of tomato and date juice on hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls. However, there was an increase in average hemoglobin levels before and after the intervention of juice and iron suplementation. The results of this study are expected that adolescent girls obediently consume Fe tablets according to the provisions. Apart from supplementation, young women can also consume fruits that contain iron such as dates, and contain vitamin C such as tomatoes to help absorb iron.

Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is a key indicator of healthcare success. This research aimed to examine the relationship between twin pregnancy and premature rupture of membranes (PROM) with the incidence of threatened preterm labor at Bali Royal General Hospital in 2023. This research is a correlational analytic study with a case-control design. The study was conducted from March to April 2023 using non-probability purposive sampling. The sample size consisted of 250 data points. Data collection involved gathering diagnoses of mothers, twin pregnancies, PROM, and threatened preterm labor. The relationship between twin pregnancy and PROM with the incidence of threatened preterm labor was analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of mothers with twin pregnancies experienced threatened preterm labor, amounting to 19 cases (7.6%). Most mothers with PROM also experienced threatened preterm labor, totaling 35 cases (14%). The conclusion was that gemeli pregnancies had almost 4 times the risk of developing threatened preterm labour. Premature rupture of membranes had almost 3 times the risk of developing threatened preterm labour.  Bali Royal Hospital accelerate socialization for pregnant women to prevent premature rupture of membranes and premature events. Socialization can be provided by providing information through social media, putting up posters in polyclinics and holding classes for pregnant women.

Abstract

Stunted was a major nutrition problem in Indonesia. Obesity caused metabolic changes caused by endothelial dysfunction and oxidative stress mechanisms defined by waist size, HDL, triglycerides, calm blood glucose, and blood pressure. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between stubborn obesity and metabolic syndrome in female adolescents. Study design was case control with 150 students in the Banyuma district. Subject selection was performed using multistage random samples. The case group was 75 students who inhibited obesity, and the control group was 75 students with stunted and non-attended. Determine nutritional status by measuring size, weight and waist size. Metabolic syndrome was determined using three criteria: obesity, blood glucose level above 100 mg/dL, and lipid profile. Triglyceride levels ≥150 mg/dL and HDL levels ≤ 0 mg/dL; Data were analyzed on a descriptive test for univariate analysis and a Chi-square test for determining relationships. The mean values of HDL levels (39.80 ± 3.96 mg/dL), fasting blood sugar (112.6 ± 8.75 mg/dL), and triglycerides (102.34 ± 17.54 mg/dL) in the case group were higher than the mean values in the control group. There is a relationship between Stunted obesity and the incidence of metabolic syndrome in adolescents with ρ = 0.0479. This indicates that there is a higher risk of experiencing metabolic syndrome in the case group.

Abstract

Growth at the age of 1 month is an important beginning for babies with a history of low birth weight (LBW). Gestational age, gender and birth weight are factors that must be considered in the growth process. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between gestational age, gender and birth weight with weight at 1 month of age.Observational analytical research with a retrospective cohort design and quantitative study methods was conducted from January to December 2024. The samples used were all LBW infants whose weight was measured at the age of 1 month, as many as 80 infants who met the inclusion criteria. The samples were weighed and the results were recorded on the KMS sheet for LBW infants and the results were plotted on the 1 month old weight growth chart. Furthermore, the results were categorized into two groups: appropriate and inappropriate. The research shows the results for gestational age and baby weight at 1 month with a value (p-value = 0.041). Gender with 1 month baby weight with value (p-value = 0.022) and history of birth weight with 1 month baby weight with value (p-value = 0.037). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between gestational age, gender and birth weight history with the weight of a 1 month old baby
