Abstract

Perumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi yang sehat secara akan memiliki kesesuaian dengan usia pada tahap tumbuh kembangnya. Perkembangan pada anak terdiri dari keterampilan motorik (kasar dan halus), keterampilan sosial pribadi dan keterampilan bahasa. Baby massage merupakan tindakan untuk merangsang perkembangan bayi dengan cara penggabungan efek baby massage dan baby gym. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui pengaruh baby massage and gym terhadap perkembangan motorik kasar baik kasar maupun halus pada bayi usia 3-6 bulan. Metode penelitian pre-experimental design dengan pendekatan one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah bayi 3-6 bulan yang tinggal di Desa Dawuhan Kecamatan Karangploso Kabupaten Malang yang dibawa ke Chilla Homecare. Besar sampel sebanyak 20 responden yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampel. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan Denver II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbandingan bayi saat sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan baby massage dan gym yaitu terjadi peningkatan pada kategori advance sebanyak 1 bayi (5%) dan meningkat pada kategori normal sebanyak 3 bayi (15%). Hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai sig. 0,025 (< 0.05), sehingga disimpulkan ada pengaruh baby massage dan gym terhadap perkembangan motorik bayi usia 3-6 bulan. Diharapkan peran dari tenaga kesehatan dapat mengembangkan promosi dan edukasi tentang pijat bayi dan gym kepada masyarakat khususnya orang tua untuk meningkatkan perkembangan motorik bayi.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, the proportion of toddlers having nutritional issues in 2018 was 17.7%. In contrast, in Central Java, malnutrition among toddlers was 1.1% frequent, and inadequate nutrition among toddlers was 5.0% in 2020. According to the Banyumas District Health Office report, there were 6,638 people who needed to improve their diet immediately. In the working area of Kalibagor Public Health Care Center, 69 toddlers had low nutrition and 12 had malnutrition. Objective: The purpose of this research is to find out the nutrient knowledge and skill of toddlers’ mothers before and after the training of toddlers’ nutritional menu processing in the working area of Kalibagor Public Health Care Center, Banyumas District. Method: The method of this research was pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design. The samples included 45 mothers who were selected using the Slovin formula, and the population included 81 mothers whose children had low malnutrition. Results: The mothers' knowledge and competence level in planning and digesting their toddlers' diets were the variables that were measured. It indicated that the degree of ability and knowledge had a significant effect (p=0.000). Conclusion: Thus, it can be concluded that providing training on toddler nutrition has a favorable impact on a mother's skills. The next researcher is expected to explore social and cultural elements in order to improve respondents' knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is a malignancy that previously originated in glandular cells. Glandular ducts and the supporting tissues of the breast. Cancer can begin to grow in the breast glands or in the breast ducst, fat tissue or tissue that binds to the breast. Early detection of breast cancer can be done with breast self examination, Clinical examination and mammogram examination. From the results of a preliminary study condected on December 23, 2021 at State 1 Senior High School Randudongkal in Central Java. It was found that 7 students had been interviewed and the result were 4 out of 7 students at State 1 Senior Hight School Randudongkal for knowledge about breast self examination was still low or lacking and based on information obtained from the school that has never received counseling about breast self examinations. Objective: This research to identify the effect of booklets as educational media on adolescent womens knowledge about breast self examination in class x and xi at state 1 senior hight school randudongkal. Method: This research was quantitative research using Quasi Experimental research design and One Group Pre-Test Pos-Test Design. The sample in this study was 82 students of class X and XI of State 1 Senior Hight School Radudongkal for wichh were taken using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random samping. Results: The results showed that the Wilcoxon test on the respondent’s knowledge of breast cancer and the breast self examination showed that the calculated Z value was -7.830 and a significant value was 0.000. this shows that the significant value of 0.000 is less concluded that there is an effect on giving bookts as a medium for students knowledge of breast self examination. Conclusion: There is an affect of booklets as educational media on adolescent womens knowledge about breast self examination in grade x and xi at state 1 senior hight school randudongkal.

Abstract

Background: Pre-hospital emergency medical services (EMS) personnel are responsible for providing intervention outside of the hospital setting. Consequently, the pre-hospital emergency personnel demand high capability of the personnel to perform emergency aid at the scene and during transport to the hospital. Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore emergency skills competence among pre-hospital emergency personnel in the area on the north coast of Java. Method: This study used the Essential Knowledge and Skills Questionnaire (EKSQ) as the instrument. There was 42 pre-hospital emergency personnel participated in this study. Results: This study revealed that most pre-hospital emergency personnel are nurses (93%). Most respondents reported not having sufficient competency in resuscitation (2,78 of 5 points) and giving medication (2,81 of 5 points). Age and experience were significantly correlated with pre-hospital emergency personnel's competence. Conclusion: This study concluded that there was a lack of competence in resuscitation. Hence, continuous professional-development courses are necessary to maintain pre-hospital emergency personnel's professional proficiency.

Abstract

Background: Amongst healthcare workers, nurses are known to struggle with burnout symptoms the most, carrying serious consequences for patients, other healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. Furthermore, the healthcare sector in the Philippines needs attention, and further studies concerning our Filipino healthcare personnel should be initiated. Objectives: The study was conducted to identify the level of burnout among nurses characterized by the Three Dimensions of Burnout, and the factors influencing burnout characterized by the Six Areas of Work life. Furthermore, the study wanted to determine the relationship between the demographic profile of the respondents, the level of burnout, and the factors influencing burnout. Methods: A quantitative descriptive-correlational study was used, and a total enumeration sampling technique was utilized to select the participants in the study. Data was collected using a three-part survey questionnaire. The conducted research has shown that burnout among the staff nurses of the selected hospitals in Cabanatuan City occurs in all dimensions of this phenomenon (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment). Results: the level of burnout characterized by three dimensions; Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, and Personal Accomplishment. For emotional exhaustion, the majority of the respondents scored 30 and above which implies that 38.0% or 62 respondents have a High Level of Burnout in this dimension. On the other hand, in depersonalization, 63.8% or 104 respondents scored 5 and below which means that they have a Low Level of Burnout in terms of depersonalization. In personal accomplishment, most of the respondents scored 33 and above which implies that the 39.3% of the respondents have a High Level of Burnout characterized by reduced Personal Accomplishment. Conclusion: It was also shown that areas of work life (workload, control, community, reward, fairness, and values) were predictors of occupational burnout among the respondents and were correlated with the dimension of burnout. Community also displayed the highest value of association between the three dimensions of burnout. It is also worth noting that among the profile variables, Salary has shown the most association with the other variables.

Abstract

Background: Pregnancy problems, which can manifest as pregnancy danger of sign or symptoms that the suggest the mother or baby is at risk, are one of the causes of the high maternal death rate. Objective: This study aims to determine the raltionship between a mother’s knowledge about pregnancy danger sign and ANc visit compliance at Lakbok Health Care. Methods: This study is type of quantitative research of Cros-Sectional. This research was conducted at the Lakbok Health Care Center in June 2021. This study used a total sampling of 35 respondents using correlation test. Results: The finding revealed that the mother’s understanding of pregnancy danger symptomps in the Lakbok Health Care Center area was only partially sufficient (68,6%). Pregnant women in the Lakbok Health Center region were mainly compliant with antenatal care (54,3%). The correlation test revealed that there was a relationship between maternal understanding of pregnancy danger sign and ANC visits with a p-value 0,027. Conclusion: There is relationship between Mother’s Knowledge of Pregnancy danger sign with ANC Compliance at Lakbok Health Care Center.

Abstract

Background: The nutritional status of toddlers is a crucial thing that parents must know. It takes more parental attention to the growth and development of children at the age of toddlers, based on information that malnutrition in this golden age is irreversible. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between eating patterns, parental education and environmental hygiene with nutritional status figures in the area of Cibangkong Village, Pekuncen District, Banyumas Regency. Methods: The method used in this research is cross sectional with a sample of 78 respondents with simple random sampling. Results: Bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test found 3 significant factors related to dietary regulation on nutritional status as many as 56 respondents with a p-value of 0.037, education of parents as many as 32 respondents with a p-value of 0.026, and environmental hygiene as many as 65 respondents with p-value of 0.027. Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between 3 variables towards nutritional status of children under five years old in Cibangkong village, Pekuncen district, Banyumas regency.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is experienced by individuals almost every day. Yet, it is unnatural if it happens continuously to be able to disrupt the minds and activities. Lack of information becomes an obstacle in mental health management, especially anxiety. One of the steps to achieving healthy status is the empowerment of mental health cadres through Anxiety Education training.Objective: This study time to determine the effect of anxiety education on the knowledge and skills of cadres in managing anxiety in Suro Village, Kalibagor Sub-District, Banyumas Regency. Method: This study used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. The population and samples were 40 respondents selected using the total sampling method. Then, the Wilcoxon test was utilized for the statistical test. Results: This study showed that the majority of respondents are 36-45 years old (35%), and graduated from elementary school level (45%). They worked as housewives (57.5%), and have been being a cadre for 0-10 years (42.5%). The p-value obtained from the Wilcoxon test was 0.000 < 0.05. It meant that there was a significant influence on the level of knowledge and skills of cadres before and after being given anxiety education. Conclusion: Good knowledge would affect the ability and skills of cadres in managing anxiety in their life and in the community.

Abstract

Background: Nursing professional education aims to prepare learners to perform the functions and roles of nurses. Caring behavior is at the core of the nursing profession and is considered a fundamental indicator of the quality of nursing. Self-awareness related to the obligations and duties of being a nurse is the main indicator for a nurse to carry out caring behaviors. This self-awareness is expected to help students reach their potential and survive all academic and non-academic needs, thereby optimizing mental health. Objective: Knowing the relationship between self-awareness and psychological well-being with the caring behavior of Nurse professional students, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Method: This type of research is a quantitative research using the correlational study survey method with a cross-sectional time approach. Simple random sampling technique with a total of 59 students who are carrying out the practice of the Nurse profession by the criteria for inclusion and exclusion. The research instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis using spearman-rank test. Results: The results showed that most of the Nurse professional students had high self-awareness (49.2%), a high level of psychological well-being (52.5%), and a high level of behavior caring (57.6%). There is a lack of self-awareness in the caring behavior of Nurse professional students with a p-value of 0.0001 (p-value < ?). There is psychological well-being with the caring behavior of Ners professional students with a p-value of 0.0001 Conclusion: Self-awareness and psychological well-being have a positive relationship with the caring behavior of students of the Nurse profession.

Abstract

Background: Smoking behavior is often found in our society. Based on the results Basic Health Research of Indonesia, it is reported that the proportion of male and female smokers in Indonesia is 64.9% and 2.1%, respectively. Smoking has been shown to cause various health problems and increase risk factors for death. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The population was male students of the Faculty of Engineering and Science at Universitas Muhammadiyah. The samples were 300 students. Afterward, they filled out questionnaire adopted from Istifaizah that have been distributed using the WhatsApp group. The data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The result showed that the significance value of the relationship between attitudes and motivation to quit smoking was 0.000?0.05. Meanwhile, the significance value of the relationship between subjective norms and motivation to quit smoking was 0.000?0.05. Afterward, the significance value of the relationship between perception and motivation to quit smoking was 0.000?0.05. Respondents attitudes, subjective norms and perceptions toward smoking cessation showed that the percentage of positive attitudes was lower than the percentage of negative attitudes. The respondents' motivation to quit smoking showed that the percentage of motivation to quit smoking was low more than the high motivation to quit.
