Abstract

Anak yang dirawat di rumah sakit sering  mengalami  reaksi hospitalisasi dalam bentuk anak rewel, tidak mau didekati oleh petugas kesehatan, ketakutan, tampak cemas, tidak kooperatif,  bahkan tamper tantrum. Tujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas lingkungan terapeutik terhadap reaksi hospitalisasi pada anak. Rancanganpenelitian quasy eksperiment dengan desain crossectional. Sampel 44 anak usia 1-13 tahun. Analisis data denganindependent t-test dan chi-square. Hasil penelitian diperoleh lingkungan terapetik efektif untuk meminimalkanreaksi hospitalisasi. Reaksi hospitalisasi ditunjukkan dengan angka signifikansi dari variabel reaksi hospitalisasiyang meliputi kecemasan anak (p-value=0,004), sikap kooperatif (p-value=0,000), respon anak (p-value=0,000),mood anak (p-value=0,000), dan sikap penerimaan pada petugas (p-value=0,000). Hendaknya perawat ruanganak menerapkan lingkungan terapeutik  sehingga dapat meminimalkan reaksi hospitalisasi negatif.Kata kunci: lingkungan terapetik, reaksi hospitalisasi

Abstract

This article presents the results of the research about an Analysis of English Textbook forEleventh Year Students of Senior High School on the Basis of the 2013 Curriculum. The research was qualitativeresearch with descriptive method as the proper method. The object of the research was an English textbook foreleventh year students of Senior High School based on the 2013 Curriculum, with the title Bahasa InggrisKelas XI SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Semester 1, published by The Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia.The data of this research are the textbook contents, the approach and methods available on the Englishtextbook. The researcher uses a documentary analysis as the technique of collecting the data. For the techniqueof analyzing the data, the researcher uses the descriptive analysis to interpret the data. In giving the percentage,the researcher uses “Criterion Referenced Evaluation” to percentage how far the textbook develops the contentwhich suitable with criteria of the 2013 Curriculum textbook and to percentage how far the textbook appliesapproach and methods in the English textbook.The research findings reveal that from percentage of the data, that 100% of the textbook content meansthat this percentage belongs to very good category. It implies that the English Textbook follows the demand ofthe 2013 Curriculum. Besides, from precentage of approach and methods, that is 80%, it means that approachand methods suggested by the 2013 Curriculum which are developed on the English textbook are good enough.The approach and methods which are developed in the textbook are scientific approach, discovery learning,problem based learning, and project based learning.Key Words: English textbook, syllabus, 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract

Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk memberikan alternatif strategi dalam mengajar reading/ membaca. Cara mengajar yang sekarang ini ditekankan adalah dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaranActive Learning. Pembelajaran Active Learning menuntut para peserta didik untuk aktif dalam prosespembelajaran. Pembelajaran Active Learning juga dikenal dengan pembelajaran Students-Centered. Adabeberapa macam strategi dalam pembelajaran Active Learning. Pemilihan strategi atau metode disesuaikandengan materi pembelajaran atau skill yang akan dicapai. Makalah ini memaparkan tentang strategi Question– Answer Relationship (QAR) dalam mengajar reading skill (kemampuan membaca). QAR merupakan salahsatu strategi dalam Active Learning yang terbukti dapat meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan peserta didikdalam belajar reading. Peserta didik diminta untuk mengidentifikasi mana informasi yang mereka gunakanuntuk menjawab pertanyaan tentang bacaan tersebut adalah informasi tersirat, informasi tersurat, atau informasiyang berdasarkan latar belakang pengetahuan peserta didik itu sendiri. Dengan menggunakan strategi QAR,peserta didik akan dapat mengenali kemungkinan letak jawaban dengan mengklasifikasikan pertanyaanberdasarkan tipenya sehingga dapat mengetahui kemampuan mereka dalam memahami bacaan.Kata kunci: Question-Answer Relationship (QAR), teaching reading

Abstract

ABSTRACTPneumonia is an acute lower respiratory tract infection that affects lung tissue with symptoms of coughing, shortness of breath, ronchi. Pneumonia patients under five in Purbalingga in 2018 found 1,787 cases or 61.40%. Family support will be increasingly needed when someone is experiencing problems or illnesses, in this case, the role of the family is necessary as going through difficult times quickly. Good family support for mothers of children with pneumonia can reduce anxiety. Mothers need family support to care for their children. Research purpose to determine the correlation between family support and mothers' anxiety level in toddlers with pneumonia in the working area of Public Health Center of Kemangkon. It was a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional method. The samples were collected by simple random sampling of 42 respondents. The results discovered that there were 19 respondents (45.2%) who were in their late teens. There were 25 respondents (59.5%) who graduated from junior high school. There were 20 respondents (47.6%) who were mostly housewives. There were 29 respondents (69%) who got good family support and there were 22 respondents (52.4%) who felt anxious. There is the relationship between family support and mothers' anxiety level in toddlers with pneumonia in the working area of Public Health Center of Kemangkon with (ρ-value = 0.001).

Abstract

Bedside teaching methods are used to know in depth and comprehensive review of all cases of patients being studied. Selection of appropriate methods for teaching clinical nursing at the hospital became urgent need for nursing education providers to obtain an appropriate learning outcomes with student competence. The aim of this research is to identifying differences in the influence of bedside teaching methods towards the case mastery and the skill capabilities of nursing student clinical practice between the control group and intervention group. Quasy experiments study was used in this research; with 25 samples of each group. Data was analyzed with independent t-test. The study has been found differences in the influence of bedside teaching methods to the case mastery of nursing clinical practice student between the control group and intervention group (p-value=0.001); but did not with the skill capabilities (p-value = 0.686). It should be used as guidance as clinical bedside teaching methods applied in conjunction with other methods to improve the competence of nursing students mastery of the case.

Abstract

Anxiety is a reaction that often occurs in children during hospitalization and the resulting decline in condition, duration of adaptation, and developmental disorders. The writing is aimed to investigate the effect of therapeutic-peer-play against the anxiety of school-age children who were hospitalized, which is obtained from the research results. The study design using quasy-experiment, pre-test post-test control-group design, and each sample 33 in the intervention and control groups. Data analysis with paired t-test. Results showed there were significant effects (p-value = 0.000) against the anxiety of 11.09 {3.73 in the intervention and control (66%); of anxiety is a mild anxiety}. Given the therapeutic-peer-play affects the anxiety of school-age children who are treated, it is necessary to increase efforts to play the role of nurses towards therapeutic school-age children during hospitalization

Abstract

Objective: To determine the characteristics of the use of smartphones (gadgets) in infants aged 1-5 years in the Dukuh Maja village, Songgom, Brebes.Method: This type of research is descriptive. The population in this study were toddlers aged 1-5 years in Dukuh Maja village as many as 418. The sample in this study was 81 respondents with a sampling technique that is cluster random sampling.Results: The results showed that the characteristics of the use of smartphones (gadgets) which include frequency in the medium category were 63 respondents (77.8%), the duration of the majority in the moderate category were 61 respondents (75.3%), egocentric behavior had a good category of 53 respondents (65.4%), the majority of emotional behavior in the good category were 43 respondents (53.1%), social interaction had a good category of 56 respondents (69.1%), the type of content had a good category of 52 respondents (64, 2%).Conclusion: The use of smartphones (gadgets) in infants in the medium category, but should be a concern for all parents of their children.Keywords: Characteristics, smartphone, toddlers

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Children with Special Needs is another term for "Disability Children" which indicates a special disorder. The social interaction ability of children with special needs is influenced by environmental factors, especially family, the role and involvement of parents. Social support is a form of attention, care, appreciation, comfort, calm or assistance given by others, both in groups and individually, especially for children with special needs despite limitations and developmental delays, but they also need to be valued, accepted and loved by the environment.Objective: To find the relation between social support and social interaction ability of children with special needs in SLB C Yakut Purwokerto.Method: This research uses quantitative description with cross sectional approach. Samples collected by total sampling were 79 respondents.Results: The results showed that the most of respondents were male 42 (53.2%), and majority were 10-year-old 19 (24.1%), with a form of mental retardation as much as 79 (100%). Disability children in SLB C Yakut Purwokerto who received good social support were 61 respondents (77.2%) and had good social interaction skills as many as 57 respondents (72.2%). The best form of social support was information support of 56 (76.7%).Conclusion: This study found significant improvement in social support towards the social interaction abilities of children with special needs.Keywords: Disability Children, Social Support, Social Interaction Capabilities

Abstract

Diare tercatat sebagai kasus endemis masih cukup tinggi di Kabupaten Banyumas (46%). Sebagai kasus dalam urutan tertinggi, perlu diupayakan implementasi yang tepat oleh petugas kesehatan di tingkat pelayanan masyarakat. Salah satunya melalui pelatihan kader dalam menangani diare secara sederhana. Tujuan dalam penulisan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik responden berdasarkan umur, pendidikan,  dan pekerjaan kader; serta mendeskripsikan kompetensi kader yang telah dilatih melakukan penanganan diare secara sederhana kepada masyarakat yang memiliki anak dengan sakit diare. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain analisis deskriptif, untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik responden dan kompetensi kader terhadap penanganan diare secara sederhana pada anak. Perbedaan kompetensi antar kelompok dianalisis dengan independent t-test. Sampel dipilih secara random dari 117 posyandu (dari 625 kader) dalam satu wilayah kerja puskesmas. Jumlah sampel masing-masing 50 kader pada kelompok intervensi dan kontrol. Karakteristik responden kader dengan rata-rata usia 46 tahun, didominasi lulusan SMA, dan lebih dari 90% ibu rumah tangga. Kader terlatih kompeten dalam melakukan penanganan diare secara sederhana dan mampu menyediakan larutan oralit dengan baik. Kegiatan pelatihan kader sangat signifikan (p-value 0,000) dalam mendukung kompetensi kader. Kegiatan pelatihan penanganan diare secara sederhana untuk kader perlu diterapkan pada para keder lain yang belum berkesempatan mendapatkan pelatihan.
