Abstract

According to national educational report card, SDN Semaya achieved score 63.1 which classified as moderate in terms of learning quality matters. The quality of learning has a root problem in the form of "Program Benahi", a program to improve the quality of learning process. This program recommended increasing the teaching team competencies and policies that support learning process improvement. The Author attempts to implement good practices, by motivating fellow teachers in SDN Semaya to learn contents related to meaningful and student-centered teaching skills. This practice is in line with the revitalization of the Teacher Working Group (KKG) program which is currently being implemented within the Banyumas Regency Office. This program is implemented within the school in form of training using educational comic media to fulfill students’ learning needs. Based on this program, it can be concluded that the use of educational comics to meet learning needs is very necessary. Visual based learning style will increase their attention span through the media visual stimulation. The Digital-based Educational Comics from Canva will give an opportunity to improve the teaching team's competence on delivering learning process.

Abstract

The use of conventional methods has not yet implemented innovative learning models, and the learning media used are less attractive to students, making the learning process seem monotonous and boring. The Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method is expected to provide benefits as a solution to improve the quality of learning. PjBL assisted by an incubator machine aims to offer an alternative approach to teaching animal reproduction, particularly oviparous animals. Learning using the PjBL method can serve as a solution to create enjoyable classroom experiences, enhance curiosity, leave lasting impressions, and attract students’ interest to actively participate, thereby achieving the learning objectives. The steps taken in the implementation of PjBL included preparing essential questions about animal reproduction. How do oviparous animals (chickens) reproduce. Students observed this directly through the use of an incubator machine, rather than the traditional knowledge of natural incubation by a hen. Students were divided into groups and tasked with recording and monitoring the eggs for 21 days in the form of observation reports. There was an increase in student participation and activeness in learning from a score of 19 before using the incubator to 36 out of a maximum score of 40 after its use. This indicates that the PjBL method assisted by an incubator in the topic of oviparous animal reproduction can increase student participation and activeness.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped teaching and learning processes. Today, teachers must focus not only on their existing competencies but also on mastering additional skills related to technology, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. The Center for Curriculum Redesign (CCR) provides a robust framework for implementing 21st-century education, encompassing four essential dimensions: knowledge, skills, character, and metacognitive capabilities. Among these, computational thinking is a vital skill that supports numerous aspects of modern education. In Kawunganten District, a significant gap exists between the demand for digital competencies and the actual skills of teachers. If this challenge is not addressed immediately, we risk a decline in education quality and student skill levels, which will negatively impact human resource development in the region. It is crucial to recognize this relationship to identify and implement effective strategies for enhancing teachers' competencies in the digital era. This research employs a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method that features a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The data analysis aims to assess the impact of digital media training on computational thinking and information and communication technology skills, ensuring that our educational strategies are both impactful and effective.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation and impact of action-based learning in environmental education for elementary school students through ecotourism, using Organic Agro-Edu Tourism (AEWO) Mulyaharja in Bogor, Indonesia as a case study. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, observations, and document analysis involving students, teachers, local residents, and AEWO staff. The findings reveal that AEWO provides meaningful, hands-on learning experiences in organic agriculture, fostering emotional and cognitive connections to nature. Students gain not only agricultural knowledge but also develop greater empathy, responsibility, and appreciation for environmental sustainability. The integration of local farmers in the learning process enhances the authenticity and relevance of education, while the ecotourism setting enables place-based learning that extends beyond classroom boundaries. This research concludes that action-based learning within ecotourism frameworks significantly contributes to raising environmental awareness and shaping pro-environmental behavior among young learners.

Abstract

According to the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology number 21 of 2022 concerning Education Assessment Standard, which is the basis for the Merdeka curriculum, formative and summative assessments are used to evaluate students' learning outcomes. Both play an essential role in assessing and supporting students, but they serve different purposes and occur at various times. Especially, in EFL classrooms where English is primarily learned in the class rather than in everyday speech, formative assessment plays a significant role in enhancing students' learning abilities. However, English teachers face difficulties and challenges in implementing formative assessment in the class. Therefore, this study deeply explores the phenomenon of implementing formative assessment in learning practices and the challenges faced. Data were obtained from classroom observation, interviews with an English teacher, and analysis of learning documents. An experienced English teacher who has been teaching for more than fifteen years at SMK YPE Sampang Cilacap regency was involved in this study. The finding reveals that teachers still often face difficulties conducting formative assessment in the classroom. There are two main reasons for these difficulties: time constraints and a lack of student response, because they feel embarrassed and afraid of being wrong in answering. For this reason, teachers must make simple formative assessments and utilize appropriate learning media. Teachers should be able to be students' best friends and create a classroom atmosphere that is fun to learn in. This needs to be mastered by all teachers, especially English teachers.

This study used survey research by collecting data or information about a large population using a relatively small sample. According to the results of the study on the influence of teachers in the use of digital media on self-efficacy and ICT skills in the Cut Nyak Dien Cluster, Cilacap Selatan increased the self-efficacy and ability of the teachers for learning activities in their classrooms. This Study find that 1) 100% of respondents experienced an increase in both dependent variables, 2) Self-efficacy increased by an average of 43.1% after the training, 3) ICT skills increased by an average of 52.0% after training, 4) There were no respondents who experienced a decrease in both aspects. This is great, because the use of digital media really influences student learning outcomes. Therefore, this training should always be carried out continuously so that teachers' self-efficacy keeps increasing and ICT skills become improved.
