Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning motivation of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Cilongok. This quantitative study uses a quasi-experimental design involving two groups, namely the experimental group that implements PBL and the control group that uses conventional learning. Learning motivation data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed no significant difference in initial learning motivation between the two groups. However, after implementing PBL, there was a significant increase in learning motivation among students in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average learning motivation of the experimental group increased to 98.46, while the control group reached 82.53. The statistical test results (t-count = 6.953 > t-table = 1.67) confirmed a significant difference. These findings indicate that PBL is effective in increasing students' learning motivation, supported by the characteristics of PBL that actively involve students in problem-solving, group work, and the development of critical thinking skills. Based on the research results, it is recommended that PBL be used as a learning strategy to increase students' learning motivation.

Abstract

The increase in negative student behavior and the decline in positive character are challenges in creating a conducive learning environment that supports holistic student development. This can be overcome by implementing the restitution triangle. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the restitution triangle in building a humanistic and restorative school culture at Kalibatur Elementary School. The research method used was qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of students and teachers which were then analyzed thematically to identify the application of the restitution triangle and its impact on school culture. The results showed that this approach helped create a school culture that supports students' social and emotional development, as well as reducing negative behaviors such as bullying and conflict between students. The commitment and support of all school residents, teacher training and skills, student and parent involvement, evaluation and continuous development are factors in the success of this program. This study concludes that the application of the restitution triangle at Kalibatur Elementary School is effective in building a humanistic and restorative school culture. This program is recommended as an innovative model in creating a more positive educational environment and supporting the development of students' character holistically.

Abstract

The problem of waste is very often found in our environment. An early age is very necessary. This research aims to examine the influence of the Pancasila Student Profile Enhancement Initiative (P5), focusing on theme of the enduring sustainability lifestyles of the critical reasoning skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Mewek. P5 is an initiative of the Kurikulum Merdeka that emphasizes character education based on Pancasila values, one of theme is instill awareness of sustainable lifestyles through the use af waste in order to foster creativity and attitude of caring for the environment in students. The research approach applied is ex post facto with a quantitive method. The target of population of this study comprises all fifth-grade students, with the data collected through a validated questionnaire. This results identified that there is a significant impact through P5 focusing on the theme of enduring sustainability lifestyles of the critical reasoning skills of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how Kahoot can enhance the enthusiasm and participation of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Ledug during science learning. Employing a qualitative research method, data were collected through interviews and observations. The analysis involved processing the data to uncover patterns and insights related to student engagement. The results reveal that using Kahoot in science learning significantly increases students' enthusiasm and active involvement in completing assessments. The gamified learning platform creates an interactive and enjoyable environment that motivates students to participate more actively in classroom activities. Observations showed that students were more focused, engaged, and eager to answer questions during lessons involving Kahoot compared to traditional teaching methods. Additionally, interviews highlighted the positive perception of students toward Kahoot, emphasizing its role in making learning fun and reducing anxiety during assessments. The competitive elements of Kahoot encouraged students to stay attentive and perform better while fostering a collaborative atmosphere among peers. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that integrating Kahoot into educational practices not only boosts student participation but also enhances their overall enthusiasm for learning. These findings suggest that Kahoot in science learning can be a valuable tool for educators seeking to improve student enthusiasm, participation and create a more dynamic learning experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap keterampilan kerja sama dan komunikasi peserta didik kelas IV mata pelajaran PKN di SD Islam Al Azhar 16 Cilacap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen pretest-posttest dengan desain two group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SD Islam Al Azhar 16 Cilacap yang berjumlah 60 orang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 orang siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen (15 orang) dan kelompok kontrol (15 orang). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap keterampilan kerja sama (t hitung = 3,42 > t tabel = 2,015) dan keterampilan komunikasi (t hitung = 3,15 > t tabel = 2,015) peserta didik kelas IV mata pelajaran PKN di SD Islam Al Azhar 16 Cilacap. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kerja sama dan komunikasi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the extent to which the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method can increase students' motivation and understanding of Pancasila values in learning Pancasila and Civics Education (PPKn) at SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang. Based on the results of the pre-survey, it was found that most students had difficulty in understanding the basic concepts of the state and the practice of democracy. The CTL method is applied to connect the subject matter with the context of students' real life, so that learning becomes more relevant and applicable. This study used a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach with 33 students as subjects and data collection through observation and questionnaires. The results showed that the application of the CTL method succeeded in increasing student motivation and activity, with an average increase in motivation of 82.9% in cycle II. It was also found that student and teacher activities experienced a significant increase in each cycle. This study concludes that the CTL method can improve the quality of Civics learning, especially in character building and understanding democratic values. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to continue applying CTL methods in learning to increase student participation and the relevance of the material being taught.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental aspect of human life, providing the foundation for the development of human resources. Teacher competence, including pedagogical, personality, professional, and social skills, plays a crucial role in shaping students’ outcomes. Teachers are responsible not only for delivering knowledge but also for fostering students' character, learning ethos, and readiness for future challenges. The principal's role in organizing quality education is paramount, particularly through supervision. Supervision can enhance teachers' competence, improve classroom management, and strengthen the relationship between teachers and principals. This study investigates the comparison between teachers who receive supervision and those who do not, focusing on the impact of supervision on teacher preparation and behavior. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study method. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and document studies from five public elementary schools in the Diponegoro cluster, Punggelan District, Banjarnegara. The results provide insights into how supervision influences teacher performance and its role in optimizing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the cognitive assessment of grade VI students at Slarang 02 Kesugihan Elementary School on the material of Diseases that Attack the Movement System using the Ana Test application. Cognitive assessment is an important part of the learning process to determine the level of understanding and mastery of students' concepts of the material being taught. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with 20 grade VI students as research subjects. The instrument used was multiple-choice questions that were developed and analyzed through the Ana Test application to obtain information about the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, discriminatory power, and effectiveness of the question distractors. The results of the analysis showed that most of the questions were in the valid and reliable categories, with a moderate level of difficulty and quite good discriminatory power. These findings indicate that the Ana Test application can be used effectively as a tool in analyzing the quality of questions and assessing student learning outcomes, especially in the material of the movement system. This study recommends the use of technology in learning assessment as an effort to improve the quality of learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Evaluation of the Worship Practice Program which is integrated into one program of my school, my Islamic boarding school at Elementary School 1 Karangmangu aims to provide an assessment of the implementation and achievement of program objectives. The Stufflebeam CIPP model is used in the study to evaluate the context aspects (objectives, guidance, and implementation), input aspects (materials, teachers, and students), process aspects (program implementation techniques), and products or outputs (results). The analysis of the research data used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection tool used observation to assess teacher behavior by students, self-assessment questionnaires by students, and student behavior assessment questionnaires by parents. The objects of the study were 8 teachers, 41 students, and 41 parents of students. The evaluation results showed that the context and input aspects were in the good category. The process evaluation was in the good category, related to the implementation time and steps for implementing PSP activities in accordance with the established guidelines. The product evaluation was in the sufficient category, meaning that individually students could be said to be quite good in religious behavior. While the assessment of religious behavior indicators showed in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka at SD Negeri 3 Karangsalam using the Scriven Evaluation Model. The analysis was conducted through both formative and summative evaluations. The formative evaluation encompassed four key aspects: the clarity of curriculum objectives, the relevance of instructional materials, the implementation of instructional methods, and assessment practices. Meanwhile, the summative evaluation assessed program effectiveness, implementation efficiency, stakeholder satisfaction, and the overall impact of the curriculum. This research employed a descriptive-evaluative method using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Evaluation instruments were developed based on indicators from the Scriven Model. Data were collected through official school document analysis, classroom observations, interviews, surveys administered to teachers, students, and parents, as well as student learning outcomes. The data were then analyzed and compared with the evaluation instruments. The results indicate that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka is categorized as effective, with a formative evaluation score of 79.35% and a summative evaluation score of 79.94%. These findings suggest that the curriculum has been implemented optimally and has positively influenced both the learning process and student outcomes. The study recommends ongoing evaluations to support continuous improvement in curriculum implementation quality.
