Abstract

Independent Curriculum content is expected that elementary school students will care more about the environment. The students' characteristics at the elementary school level are still unaware of the cleanliness, the negative impact, and the dangers of waste, so SD Negeri Doplang 01 implements learning that can manage waste optimally. The study aimed to determine the impact of learning Science, Technology, Society and Environment (STML) on students' waste handling and management creativity at SD Negeri Doplang 01. The method used was an experiment using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a Time Series Design that the group used for research was selected randomly. This research design employed one group only, so it does not require a control group. The population was students of class IV semester 2 SD Negeri Doplang 01, and the sample was obtained through a saturated sample or census. Data collection techniques were tests and documentation. The test method was a creativity questionnaire by a Likert scale to measure students' creativity. This study utilized a t-test analysis method assisted by SPSS 25. From the results of data analysis, the average pretest value was 309.7 and the average posttest value was 354.25. The results of statistical analysis using the t-test through SPSS 25 obtained Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 with a significance level of ?=0.05. The study's conclusion states that there are differences in learning using Science, Technology, Society, and the Environment (STML) on the creativity of handling and managing waste in grade IV students at SD Negeri Doplang 01.

Abstract

Cyberbullying has become a global problem. This phenomenon is not only a trend among teenagers, but has penetrated among children. The impact is felt so significantly by both perpetrators and victims of cyberbullying. The purpose of this study is to map the trend of the cyberbullying phenomenon among children over the past decade. Data search through data-based Scopus with keywords "cyberbullying" and "children", during 2014-2023. The results showed that searching for articles using keywords resulted in 1,001 articles from journals and conference papers only. The development of cyberbullying reality publications experienced the highest increase in 2019 by 14.23%. The largest subject areas are medicine and psychology. This provides an opportunity in the field of education, that the theme of cyberbullying and its impact on the field of education still needs to be deepened in research and publication.

Abstract

At the end of 2019, it was the hardest year for countries around the world, including Indonesia. The Corona virus outbreak or Covid-19 hit and has an impact on all aspects of life, one of which is the aspect of education. The government through the Ministry of Education immediately took steps to stop conventional learning in an effort to stop the rate of mutation of the virus. The government opened limited access to Post-Online or Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) gradually by encouraging Yellow Zone and Green Zone schools to implement limited Face-to-Face Learning. Distance learning also results in setbacks, namely in the character of students. Subject of this research were third and sixth grade elementary school students in Jeruklegi Subdistrict, Cilacap Regency, Indonesia. This research used qualitative method. Techniques of collecting data of this research were observation, interview, and documentation studies. The analysis data tecniques used in the study is the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. From this research, it can be concluded that the online learning can cause the loss character of students.

Abstract

Problem solving is the ability of students to solve problems through a systematic thinking process. This research is focused on the implementation of problem solving, especially in elementary schools. This review summarizes the findings of literature studies on problem solving in elementary schools that were published from 2016-2022. Researchers use systematic. First of all the researcher formulates a research problem, then proceeds to explore relevant articles related to problem solving in elementary schools for analysis. Articles were searched using Scopus, Science Direct. From the search results obtained 142 articles related to problem solving. The results of the review revealed that 51% of the articles were the implementation of problem solving in elementary schools and 40 relevant articles were obtained.

Abstract

The awareness of most Indonesian society about the importance of Javanese gamelan culture began to fade, the tendency towards modern foreign musical instruments is increasing. Promotional strategies that are widely used in social media are still not on target due to the limitations of most rural communities in using social media. Therefore, we need an appropriate method or tool to promote the traditional Javanese Gamelan. This study used sample of several gamelan home industries in Wirun Village, Sukoharjo Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method, with literacy studies analysis and interviews following the anthropology of the target audience and comparisons of industry competitors in other regions. This study results a brainstorming design, the visual works that facilitates the sharing of information about Javanese gamelan in Wirun Village through a "coffee table book" as a main media and other supporting medias (such as logo, brosur, infographics, etc).

Abstract

1st-grade elementary school teachers must be able to quickly group children's thinking abilities before delving into deeper material, especially in mathematics. This research aims to assist teachers in grouping students based on their thinking abilities by providing open-ended questions. A qualitative descriptive method was used in this research by describing the analysis results of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students' work documents. The analysis revealed three categories of student thinking abilities: low, medium, and high based on the types of approaches used by students. The approaches used by students are influenced by their experience in solving problems with various methods and not just one solution. Students are given the opportunity to express any method they understand in solving math problems and aim to improve students' open and developing thinking abilities.

Abstract

The Jakarta government evicted an urban community of Akuarium in 2016, which caused socio-economic and immaterial difficulties. Yet, violent eviction instigated a kind of play in the community. A theory of urban play envisages how the community responds and utilizes failed development projects drawing from the practices of graffiti, car jockeys, and navigation of traffic jams. The research method includes field and internet ethnography. The research uncovers precarious life in the community due to existing poverty and the incident of eviction. Their poverty informs a structural problem of low income. The eviction exacerbates the condition with the erasure of the economy, housing, and cultural life, leading to a repressed mental state among them. Akuarium people enact an urban play as a small tactic responding to various kinds of violence and the difficulty of eviction in the function of survival.

Abstract

Neuroscience-based learning is an approach to learning that is based on knowledge of how the human nervous system functions and processes information. This approach utilizes neuroscience principles to understand how the learning process occurs in the brain and applies that knowledge to help students learn more effectively. This research aims to determine the publication of neuroscience-based learning in schools published in international journals. This research method utilizes a bibliometric approach to analyze international journals retrieved from Scopus. The obtained data is described with several topics that provide the necessary information. The research findings reveal that the publication of articles on neuroscience-based learning in schools is still concentrated in the United States and Europe. The utilization of information from neuroscience-based learning articles is also prominent in the United States and Europe. The authors of neuroscience-based learning articles in schools are predominantly from America and Europe, with fewer authors from Asia, Australia, and Africa publishing articles on neuroscience-based learning. From the research findings, it can be concluded that the publication of neuroscience-based learning articles is still unevenly distributed worldwide. This can be seen as an indication that neuroscience-based learning is not widely utilized globally.

Abstract

Low student activeness and learning achievement are the background of the problem. The goal is to improve student activeness and learning achievement. This research uses the Classroom Action Research method. The research subjects were fourth grade students totaling 34 students, consisting of 17 male students, and 17 female students. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation, and tests. This research consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research was conducted in September 2021. The application of the Think Pair Share type of Cooperative Learning model can increase activity and improve science learning achievement more than using the lecture and question and answer method. The data shows that in the pre-cycle student activeness was only 10 students, 8 students completed learning and the class average was 58.2 and in cycle 1 it increased to 24 active students, 22 students completed learning and the class average was 72.1. In Cycle 2, there were 34 active students, student 32 completions, and a class average of 82.9.
