Abstract

Stroke is one of the most common diseases in society. One of the nursing management of critical stroke patients is head-up intervention. Objective: to identify whether the head-up position affects the increase in oxygen levels in stroke patients. Research Methods: This type of research is a Literature Review study. The research was conducted by entering the keywords Head Up Position, Oxygen Saturation, and Stroke in the database. Then articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The articles used are articles published in the last 5 years. Results: A number of eight articles said that the head-up position can increase oxygen saturation, whereas two articles said that head up had no effect on increasing oxygen saturation levels. Conclusion: Based on search results and article analysis, it was found that the concept of the head-up position can increase oxygen saturation in stroke patients and cannot be maintained. Suggestion: the concept of the head-up position can increase blood oxygen levels in stroke patients not to be maintained until there are further studies with stronger results

Abstract

Background Stroke is a central nervous system function disorder in the form of blockage of brain blood vessels or rupture of blood vessels in the brain, symptoms that appear in hemiparesis disease, namely a decrease in muscle strength, one of the independent nursing interventions in dealing with decreased muscle strength by giving foot massage. Research Methods: This study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. Sample: 1 stroke patient who experienced a decrease in muscle strength. Results: the study found that stroke patients experienced complaints of weakness on the right side of the body, muscle strength on the right 1. Nursing diagnoses were: physical mobility barriers, ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion, and damage to skin integrity. Mobilization support nursing interventions, Improved cerebral perfusion, skin integrity care. Nursing implementation was carried out for 6 days. Evaluation after applying foot massage nursing problems that arise in patients can be resolved. Conclusion: the application of foot massage can increase muscle strength there is a change in the value of muscle strength in stroke patients from a value of 1 to a value of 4 on day 6. Suggestion: it is hoped that it can provide independent nursing interventions as a companion to pharmacological therapy to overcome nursing problems that exist in non hemorrhagic stroke patients.

Abstract

Introduction: Febrile seizures are a common condition in children that can cause concern for parents and healthcare professionals. Fever seizures are the brain's response to rapidly rising body temperature. In some cases, febrile seizures can cause a child's body temperature to rise dramatically, increasing the risk of complications. Nursing interventions in febrile seizures are crucial to manage symptoms and prevent complications that may arise. One intervention that can be applied is the use of tepid water sponge. This study aims to implement nursing care in children with a history of febrile seizures. Methods: This study used a case study design with a nursing approach. Study subjects were children with febrile seizures. Data collection uses a pediatric Nursing Care format which includes Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, Implementation, and Nursing Evaluation.  Results: Based on the assessment, the patient appeared limp, the skin was palpated warm with a body temperature of 37.9'C, nursing diagnoses of Hyperthermia, Risk of Injury, Nausea. Planning and implementation are giving tepid water sponge, evaluation shows a decrease in temperature in children. Conclusion: The problem is resolved characterized by a decrease in fever in children and preventing the risks that will occur in pediatric clients with a history of febrile seizures. It is hoped that health workers can improve nursing skills in providing nursing care to pediatric clients with a history of febrile seizures.

Abstract

Introduction: Nephrotic syndrome is a collection of symptoms of renal impairment with edema and proteinuria being the main signs. Cases of nephrotic syndrome commonly occur in children. The prevalence of nephrotic syndrome cases in children is 80-90% with no known cause. Nursing problems that arise in this case are related to fluid balance disorders such as excess fluid volume. Fluid management is important in overcoming edema: To analyze nursing care with fluid management measures against edema in children with nephrotic syndrome.  Methods: Case study with short nursing care in children. Samples used 1 patient with nephrotic syndrome with fluid management nursing interventions for 3x24 hours in the form of monitoring fluid intake as needed, 24-hour fluid balance, and collaborative diuretic administration. Results: In nursing care for nephrotic syndrome in children with excess fluid volume problems can be resolved with fluid management.  Conclusion: Fluid management management effectively reduces symptoms of edema and overcomes hypervolemia in nephrotic syndrome. Recommendations to nurses to conduct careful monitoring of signs and symptoms of nephrotic syndrome, including edema, weight loss, blood pressure, and urine. Intensive monitoring can help early detection of changes in condition.
