Abstract

Effective management of archival documents is vital in the educational sector as it plays a crucial role in decision-making and preserving historical records. Archives are a valuable resource that contains a wealth of information for any organization. However, the traditional method of physical document management at Sekayu 2 Negeri Vocational School has led to a significant accumulation of documents, making the process both ineffective and inefficient. This situation has created an urgent need for faster access to information. To address this issue, the school has developed an Electronic Archive for Academic Data that aims to streamline the archiving process, making it more efficient and effective. The primary objectives of this initiative are to facilitate faster retrieval of information and to reduce the physical storage space required for documents. The E-Archive for Academic Data at Sekayu 2 Negeri Vocational School was developed using the PHP programming language and the MySQL database. The introduction of this digital filing system is expected to significantly reduce the time needed to access archives and decrease the physical storage space required, thereby enhancing efficiency and effectiveness at SMK Negeri 2 Sekayu.

Abstract

During the unprecedented challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Universitas Bandar Lampung (UBL) swiftly transitioned to an online learning paradigm, notably within its Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). This transition involved the utilization of various software tools, with WhatsApp serving as the primary communication platform and zoom as the virtual classroom medium. However, the initial adoption of Zoom-based online learning witnessed only a partial attendance of students, ranging from half to three-quarters of the anticipated enrollment, thereby influencing the overall educational experience. This research endeavors to systematically assess the impact of online education on the educational quality provided by the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Bandar Lampung. Employing a quantitative methodology, the study conducted surveys on the 2020 FEB UBL student body, utilizing meticulously designed questionnaires and employing Simple Linear Regression for evaluation. The findings illuminate a noteworthy observation: (1) online learning demonstrates a discernibly positive influence on the quality of education, with an effect magnitude of 30.1%. This study contributes valuable insights into the dynamics of online education and its implications for the educational caliber within the context of Universitas Bandar Lampung's Faculty of Economics and Business

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are pivotal in providing religious education for Muslims in Indonesia. Despite their widespread presence, detailed knowledge about these institutions, particularly their architectural design, remains limited. Prospective students and the public often rely on internet images for information, leading to a partial understanding of the physical structure of these schools. This study introduces an innovative solution through the development of an Augmented Reality (AR) mobile application specifically designed for the Jogja 2 Islamic Boarding School. Augmented Reality technology effectively integrates 2D and 3D virtual objects into a real-world environment, offering an immersive, real-time experience. By utilizing the waterfall methodology in its development, this application aims to provide an in-depth, three-dimensional exploration of the Jogja 2 boarding school's infrastructure. This tool is intended to assist potential students and interested individuals in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the school's architectural layout and design dynamically and interactively.

Abstract

With the significant growth of internet use in Indonesia, there has been a surge in online business activity. The convenience offered by online platforms is increasingly in demand because it allows consumers to shop without being bound by a certain time or location. Before making a purchase, consumers tend to look for information first through various sources such as reviews on blogs, Instagram, TikTok, or reviews on the YouTube platform which is integrated in the application. This research adopted a method that included planning, literature study, data collection, and data processing using a dataset from the Play Store application which was taken using the Python library with an initial amount of 5000 data. After a manual filtering process which involved removing slang words, eliminating duplications, and normalizing punctuation marks, the remaining data was 3946. The application of the Naïve Bayes algorithm in this research uses probability methods to classify and predict 3141 training data and 805 test data, with Python library help. The accuracy calculation results show satisfactory performance, with an accuracy of 86.00%, precision of 80.74%, recall of 78.13%, and f1-score of 79.00% on a dataset of 3946. Analysis from this research shows the dominance of positive sentiment in 2050 data, while sentiment negative amounted to 1199 data. The amount and quality of training data plays an important role in system predictions, where high data quality provides better accuracy in predicting sentiment classes

Abstract

This study addresses chili price volatility, an important concern that impacts the national economy and societal welfare. Fluctuations in chili prices in the retail market greatly influence market demand, thereby influencing farming decisions, especially chili cultivation. To help make better decisions, Researchers use forecasting, which is defined as the projection of future trends based on the analysis of historical data, using statistical methods. The K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm is used because of its resistance to high noise on large training datasets. However, challenges arise in determining the optimal value of 'k' and selecting related attributes. To overcome this, Feature Selection is applied to refine the model by removing irrelevant features, resulting in a significant reduction in the model error rate. This improvement indicates an increase in the efficiency of the K-NN algorithm with the incorporation of Feature Selection. Our findings show that the model, with backward elimination in Feature Selection, achieves a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.202, outperforming the model using forward selection. The prediction accuracy of this model reaches an average of 78.86%, which is much higher than the baseline data of 50%. This shows the success of the proposed method in predicting chili prices.

Abstract

Aspect-oriented software is characterized by enhanced reusability and maintainability compared to object-oriented software. In aspect-oriented software development, concerns scattered across objects are separated and modularized into aspects. This research is motivated by the buyer's mistrust in used vehicle transactions due to concerns over potential fraud. To address this, the study proposes designing an e-commerce application that facilitates interactions between prospective vehicle sellers and buyers, alleviating transactional apprehensions. The analysis and design phases of the software development cycle employ Use Cases to facilitate the identification and separation of concerns. Use Cases are chosen for their direct illustration of user-system interactions. The case study focuses on a mobile e-commerce application for used vehicle sellers and buyers. The research aims to analyze the impact of consumer motivation, perceived quality, and consumer attitudes on the decision to purchase used vehicles. The findings are expected to aid sellers in marketing their vehicles and assist buyers in making informed purchasing decisions

Abstract

Jepara, a regency in Central Java, Indonesia, stands as a prominent hub for the wooden furniture industry, boasting a reputation that extends globally. Traditional marketing approaches, particularly the use of physical catalogs, encounter notable challenges in this digital era. This study identifies the limitations of conventional print catalogs in generating consumer interest and facilitating access to store information in Jepara’s teak furniture market. To address these challenges, we introduce an innovative solution employing Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Utilizing the waterfall development methodology, this research develops an AR application compatible with Android devices. This application transforms the furniture shopping experience by presenting 3D visualizations of products, complete with detailed dimensions, thus enabling consumers to gauge the actual size of the items. Furthermore, the application curates a list of high-rated furniture stores in Jepara, offering comprehensive store information. This integration of AR technology not only enriches the consumer experience but also adds an interactive dimension to the furniture purchasing process
