Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of second grade students of SD Bawakaraeng in mathematics subjects, one of which is in learning math story problems. The problem that arises is what are the mistakes and causes of student errors in solving math story problems based on Newman's procedure at SD Bawakaraeng. The purpose of this study was to describe students' mistakes in solving math story problems and describe the causes of students' errors in solving math story problems based on Newman's procedure at SD Bawakaraeng. The student error analysis procedure used is the Newman procedure. This type of research is qualitative research. Data was collected by using test and interview techniques with 5 students as research subjects. The data analysis technique used Milles and Huberman model analysis. Test the validity of the data is done by triangulation technique. The results showed that the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, correlation analysis The conclusion was obtained, students tried to implement the Newman procedure when working on math problems. However, due to lack of familiarity, there are often steps that are not taken, namely at the step of understanding the problem, transformation and process skills. As for the 5 steps of the Newman procedure, the results obtained are step 1) reading errors, none of the students made any type of reading errors; step 2) misunderstanding, new mistakes made by students when understanding the problem as many as 4 students; step 3) transformation, on the transformation error of students who make mistakes as much as 1 student; Step 4) process skills, all students make mistakes; and step 5) writing answers, as many as 4 students who made mistakes. There are 3 factors that cause students to make mistakes, namely: 1) difficulty understanding the problem; 2) do not understand the concept and operation of division; 3) and for forgetting and not being careful. The solution offered to minimize student errors in solving story problems is to increase the practice of working on story questions and make story questions in a more communicative language.

Abstract

Physical education is an important component of general education because it promotes individual growth through physical exercise and natural human movement. Physical education is a series of planned and structured learning experiences to meet the developmental and behavioral requirements of each child and adolescent. Physical education is a process of interaction between students and their environment which is handled through organized physical exercise in order to realize a complete human being which includes physical, psychomotor, cognitive, and emotional elements. In fact, many parents are not able to maximize the potential of their children, so they only need to take care of themselves physically and provide the amount of food needed, but lack of exercise stimulation. Being realistic, accepting yourself and people as they are, adapting quickly, being able to handle problems objectively, not depending on others, empathizing, having a sense of humor, being creative, and appreciating difficulties are the characteristics of emotional maturity.

Abstract

The spread of the COVID-19 virus in 2020 has spread very quickly so far it has had a very large impact, especially in the field of education. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, condensing data, presenting data and verifying or drawing conclusions. The subjects of this study were the principal and 3 homeroom teachers in class V SDN 1 Lalebbata. The results of the study indicate that teacher planning must prepare teacher administration according to the conditions experienced such as educational calendars, promissory notes, prota, syllabus, lesson plans, absent books, KKM, grade lists, package books, teaching materials, and class rules. For the implementation of learning, each class divides its students into two parts, there is the morning shift at 07.30-09.00 and for the afternoon shift at 09.30-11.00. The teacher's activities are limited so that the teacher only conveys important points of the material the teacher also does not do several learning steps in the classroom, namely the teacher does not convey the allocation of learning time, the teacher does not provide interesting learning media and the teacher does not apply learning strategies in groups. Likewise with the evaluation of learning the teacher does daily tests and daily tasks as usual and the learning outcomes of students also improved when compared to learning done at home.As for the limited face to face learning program, the reserarcher should have intiated 6 new steps, namely 1) Teachers deliver material by using learning methods that can attract students’ learning intersest, 2) Teachers provide student centered learning materials, 3) Teachers evaluate understanding students, 4) The teabhers desingns an assessment rubric, 5) The teacher acts as a motivation, 6) The teacher acts as a provide of learning experiences

Abstract

This study aims to find out the problems of courageous learning during the Covid 19 pandemic in thematic learning in class IV SD Inpres Bakung 2 Makassar City. This research was conducted at SD Inpres Bakung 2 Makassar City. Using a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were fourth grade teachers of SD Inpres Bakung 2 Makassar City, while the data sources consisted of main informants and supporting informants. Activities in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing/verification. To test the validity of the data include source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the problem of online learning in thematic learning is the teacher's lack of understanding about learning innovation and the lack of creativity of a teacher in providing media that is able to attract and arouse student learning motivation. During the learning process, the teacher uses a whatsapp group by sending photos only for assignments related to the material being studied. As for efforts to overcome this problem, teachers must have the awareness to provide interesting media, and create active, innovative, creative, and effective classroom strategies.

The type of research is an experimental study with a Pre-Test Post-Test Design, which is an experiment that involves only one class as an experimental class without a control class, aimed at determining the effect of using picture cards media on the learning outcomes of social science in fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Sambung Jawa 1 in Makassar City for the academic year 2022/2023. The experimental unit in this study is 31 fifth-grade students. The results of this study indicate that a teacher who uses learning media with picture cards can improve students' learning outcomes positively.
