Abstract

In the current development of the world economic system, movements in the financial system that occur in the world are also affected. Judging from the development of the financial system, it is inseparable from banking, which is an absolute part of it. From the above results of discussion and analysis, we can conclude that: 1) the BI rate variable in Indonesia affects bond returns positively and in a significant way in corporate-bond issuing companies; 2) the BT variable affects bond yields in corporate-binding companies; and 3) the BTV has a negative and meaningful effect on bond yields in corporated-bond issuing companies.

Abstract

Recurring organizational communication problems, lack of communication between superiors and subordinates, and also conflict at the employee level make the basis for researchers to conduct research and try to provide recommendations to improve conditions that occur in the Balittas organization. This study will focus on quality of relationships between superiors and subordinates as well as colleagues in organization. This study aims to describe and analyze the quality of the relationship between superiors and subordinates. This research was conducted using the Action Research method with the aim of being in Balittas from 2010 to 2019. Departing from the constructivism paradigm, this study carried out data collection by structured interviews and analyzed using the action research cycle from Coghland & Brannick. The quality of the relationship between superiors and subordinates, between colleagues for each period of each leader based on the LMX theory is dominated by the quality of the out group. This is because the relationship is only a contractual one. Subsequent research can develop the application of LMX theory in other government work units and create efforts to build quality in group relationships within Balittas. Based on LMX theory (low relationship quality) because the exchange of behavior of organizational members is limited to contractual ties and the low level of support and trust in each other.

Abstract

Este artigo analisa as origens da Regulação de Riscos e dos Programas de Proteção de Infraestruturas Críticas e explica a sua contribuição para a experiência regulatória brasileira. Abstract

The rapidly changing time has brought changes, including education, to every aspect of life. Education must constantly make changes to improve the quality of education as one of the formal educational institutions for the community. In this study the types of case studies are qualitative. Interviews and literary studies, field observations, and documentation were used for data collection techniques in this study. In this study, the analysis coincided with data collection on the ground. The investigator reduces data obtained in the field by analyzing the data, sorting each information by the focus of research and drawing conclusions in each direction. This study shows that improvements in the quality of education must be based on alternative management of schools. This promotes the development of the concept of quality management based on schools. This alternative management allows schools to be independent and regulated to improve the quality of education but still refers to national policies.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal vice.com's discourse strategy in reporting the suicide bombings at three churches in Surabaya on 13 May 2018. This action caused many victims, namely 28 people died and 57 people were injured. The presence of mass media facilitates the search and acquisition of information by the public, especially with the emergence of online media. People tend to actively find out about what is going on and the existence of online media makes news very easily accessible to the public. Fairclough's critical discourse analysis model is applied to analyze news on vice.com media. Vice.com is an online media based in America-Canada. Vice.com first expanded to Southeast Asia and stopped in Indonesia. This study seeks to examine three levels of analysis in critical discourse analysis, namely: text, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. Vice.com also has an independent position in exposing news without intervention from other parties. This is indicated by the vice.com editor who chooses a diction that tends to have neither negative nor positive connotations. In addition, 26 direct quotes were found in 4 news articles. At the text level, events are delivered coherently and clearly. Media vice.com does not seem to have an agenda to provoke the public regarding this issue because the news tends to only provide information regarding the number of victims. The situation conveyed is related to events, individuals, groups, situations, and others in the text. The role of language in the text used by vice.com editors is to educate audiences to understand the realities that actually happen easily. At the discourse practice level, the news production system has freedom in the news production process and there is no intervention from the capital owner to directly affect the reporting of the case. At the level of sociocultural practice, media vice.com puts forward a controlled, safe and peaceful situation in the socio-political area of Surabaya.

Abstract

The international community is facing the same global situation and conditions for crimes against humanity that have occurred in decades, namely the radicalism movement and international terrorism. Indonesia, as the largest country in Southeast Asia, has experienced toughening of the radicalism movement based on religion as its basic reference. Moreover, the international terrorism movement Al Qaeda and the ISIS Group (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) have become the mecca for the radicalism movement in Indonesia. How can Indonesia face the radicalism movement, what should Indonesia do and what is the solution so that Indonesia can be minimized from the crimes of radicalism and the global terrorism movement? This is what is discussed in this article. In Indonesia, the radicalism movement not only begins from thoughts based on religious teachings but also the political, ideological and enthusiastic elements of certain groups with different views and directions. In this article, the discussion begins with how religion responds to views about radicalism and radicalism movements, especially those that occur in Indonesia, a pluralistic country with various ethnic groups, various languages, cultural and religious traditions. Indonesia is a country with Pancasila as its state ideology. Apart from Religious Education which teaches how to live amongst fellow Indonesian citizens, to respect each other and respect differences, Indonesia also has the Bhineka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) as its national motto which reinforces the Pancasila philosophy, with life’s view and freedom to embrace the religion one believes in.
