Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has influenced education, particularly in shaping students’ religious character. In the digital era, broad access to unfiltered information often contradicts Islamic values, leading to a decline in students’ religious awareness, especially at the junior high school level. This poses a challenge for Islamic Education (PAI) teachers, as observed at SMP Negeri 10 Lubuk Linggau, where some students show decreased manners, respect, and participation in religious activities. This qualitative field research employed interviews, observations, and documentation with PAI teachers, students, the school principal, and student affairs staff. The findings reveal that teachers implement habituation and role-modeling strategies through collective prayers, congregational worship, Qur’an recitation, and regular sermons, while also utilizing digital media in teaching. School support and teacher collaboration serve as supporting factors, whereas the main obstacles include limited parental involvement, low student interest, and the influence of social media.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of TikTok use on the religious attitudes of UMY PAI students of the 2021 batch. This type of research is field research, while the approach used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to UMY PAI students of the 2021 batch. The analysis was carried out using a simple linear regression model. The results showed that the use of the TikTok application by students in consuming religious content was in the moderate category with an average score of 53.81. These results indicate that most students use the TikTok application neither too excessively nor too minimally. Meanwhile, the religious attitudes of PAI students of the 2021 batch were mostly in the good category, the average value of students' religious attitudes was 52.57. These results indicate that the majority of students have quite high religious attitudes, which are most likely influenced by factors such as social environment, spiritual experience, life needs, intellectual development, religious motivation and age. The results of the simple regression test showed that the intensity of TikTok application use had an influence of 32.7% on students' religious attitudes. This means that the more active students are in accessing and utilizing religious and positive content on TikTok, the more their religious attitudes will increase.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an berperan penting sebagai pedoman hidup bagi umat Islam, tidak hanya sebagai bacaan ritual tetapi juga sebagai sumber yang membentuk kepribadian dan karakter Islami. Fenomena sosial dewasa ini menunjukkan bahwa di tengah pengaruh globalisasi dan teknologi digital, sebagian generasi muda mengalami penurunan moral dan kurangnya penghayatan terhadap nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an. Dalam situasi ini, metode pendidikan yang didasarkan pada Al-Qur'an harus mengutamakan aspek afektif, psikomotorik, dan kognitif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana praktik tadarus yang didasarkan pada tadabbur di MTs Al Musthofawiyah Palang mempengaruhi karakter Islami siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi, pendekatan kualitatif, dan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan tadarus dari guru, siswa, dan pembina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan tadarus berbasis tadabbur di madrasah ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an dengan benar dan baik, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai disiplin, tanggung jawab, kejujuran, dan kepedulian sosial melalui pemahaman makna ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara teratur setiap pagi sebelum pelajaran dan merupakan bagian dari budaya madrasah yang berkontribusi positif terhadap pembentukan karakter Islami siswa. Studi ini menemukan bahwa pembiasaan tadarus yang didasarkan pada tadabbur adalah metode yang berhasil untuk membangun generasi Qur'ani yang berakhlak mulia dan relevan. Metode ini dapat diterapkan secara luas di lembaga pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the Islamic education system during the Abbasid Dynasty and explore the applicability of its values to modern Islamic education. Utilizing a qualitative approach with a historical-critical perspective, the study relies on library research, examining secondary sources such as books on Islamic civilization, academic articles, and contemporary studies on Islamic education. The analysis was carried out descriptively and critically through processes of data reduction, thematic organization, and contextual interpretation. Results reveal that Abbasid education was marked by the integration of religious and rational knowledge, supported by strong educational institutions, a rich culture of literacy and scholarship, ethically grounded academic freedom, and a focus on moral and spiritual development. These values remain relevant in addressing present-day challenges in Islamic education, such as the divide between fields of knowledge, limited research culture, and issues of character development. The study offers a framework for reconstructing Abbasid educational principles that is integrative, context-sensitive, and practically applicable to contemporary educational settings.

Abstract

Abstract The formation of religious character in students is very important in order to form a generation with noble morals. One of the efforts made at MI Ma'arif Depokrejo is through the practice of Duha prayers. This research aims to find out how the habit of Duha prayer plays a role in forming students' religious character. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a causal study approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the practice of regular Dhuha prayers at school has a positive impact on the formation of students' religious character. Students become disciplined, responsible, and have a higher awareness of religious values. The practice of Duha prayer can also strengthen students' spiritual connection with God and foster good habits in daily life. Thus, the practice of Duha prayers at MI Ma'arif Depokrejo has proven to be effective in forming the religious character of students from an early age.

Abstract

Not only oriented towards worldly welfare, but Islamic education also aims to achieve welfare in the Hereafter. To be able to understand both of these guidelines, humans need to undergo a learning process in formal, informal, and non-formal institutions. One important aspect in the implementation of Islamic education is the methods and models of learning, where educators consider, among other things, philosophical theories. The research is a library study that examines books and scientific articles related to the writing theme. This article discusses how the philosophy of Pragmatism developed by John Dewey has given rise to the Learning by Doing teaching model. Related to Islamic Religious Education, in order for students to gain learning experiences, one of the teaching methods that can be applied is Learning by Doing. This method aims for students to gain experience through direct practice so that learning becomes more meaningful and the values of Islamic teachings can be well internalized by the students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of elementary school teachers’ competence in integrating religious moderation into the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research design conducted at SD Negeri Kaliharjo, Kaligesing District, Purworejo Regency. The research subjects consisted of ten elementary school teachers. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that teachers demonstrate improved understanding of religious moderation concepts and are able to integrate them into learning activities and the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). The integration of religious moderation within the Merdeka Curriculum effectively strengthens character education and national values through contextual, reflective, and experiential learning. Improved teacher competence directly contributes to learning quality and the internalization of tolerance, diversity, and moderate religious attitudes among elementary school students

Abstract

meningkatkan kesadaran hukum islam pada peserta didik dengan rancangan strategi pembelajaran fikih yang efektif dalam membentuk kesadaran hukum Islam peserta didik di MTs Al-Karim Gondang Tahun 2024/2025. Strategi yang dikembangkan berfokus pada empat aspek utama: perencanaan pembelajaran yang terstruktur, perencanaan pembelajaran yang aplikatif dan partisipatif, penekanan pada pembiasaan dan keteladanan, serta integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam setiap materi. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk menggali praktik perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran fikih yang mampu menumbuhkan pemahaman, sikap, dan perilaku hukum Islam peserta didik. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan terstruktur membantu guru menyiapkan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang sistematis, sedangkan pendekatan aplikatif dan partisipatif mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam diskusi dan praktik hukum Islam. Penekanan pada pembiasaan dan keteladanan memperkuat internalisasi nilai-nilai syariat melalui contoh konkret dalam keseharian. Integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam setiap materi memastikan pembelajaran fikih tidak hanya bersifat kognitif tetapi juga membentuk karakter religius peserta didik. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi guru dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran fikih yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran hukum Islam pada peserta didik di MTs Al-Karim Gondang Nganjuk.
