Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students and learning activities that do not stimulate the emergence of students' skills in mathematics. Researcher found the obstacle learning experienced by students when solving problems in the matriks material. So that researchers create innovations by making matrix teaching materials based on critical thinking skills in anticipation of didactic as well as using CMI models which are packaged into learning activities as pedagogical anticipation The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and practicality of teaching materials. This research belongs to the type of development research. Module was developed using a qualitative approach. The development method carried out is the DDR stage. The data collection technique was by test and non-test. The instruments used are test questions and questionnaires. The subjects in this study were 25 students of class XI MIPA 3 of SMAN 1 Lohbener. The results of the study are: based on cumulative validation calculations, teaching materials obtain a validity percentage of 90.68% with validity interpretations which are very valid. Then based on cumulative practicality calculations, teaching materials get a practical percentage of 73% with practicality interpretations namely practical.ini dilatar belakangi karena rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan aktivitas pembelajaran yang kurang memacu munculnya keterampilan siswa dalam bermatematika. Peneliti menemukan learning obstacle yang dialami siswa saat menyelesaikan permasalahan pada materi matriks. Sehingga peneliti menciptakan inovasi dengan membuat bahan ajar matriks berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis sebagai antisipasi didaktis juga menggunakan model CMI yang dikemas menjadi aktivitas belajar sebagai antisipasi pedagogis Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan dan kepraktisan bahan ajar. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian pengembangan. Desain bahan ajar dikembangkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengembangan yang dilakukan adalah tahapan DDR. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan tes dan non tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adlah soal tes dan angket. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN 1 Lohbener. Hasil penelitian adalah: berdasarkan perhitungan validasi secara kumulatif, bahan ajar memperoleh persentase kevalidan sebesar 90,68% dengan interpretasi kevalidan yaitu sangat valid. Kemudian berdasarkan perhitungan uji praktikalitas secara kumulatif, bahan ajar mendapatkan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 73% dengan interpretasi kepraktisan yaitu praktis.

Abstract

One of the basic competencies that must be mastered class XI-IPA is "Resolving issues related to the inverse function". Basic competence is also one of the indicators in the national exam, so students of class XI-IPA should really master. However, based on the experience of researchers for teaching mathematics, indicates that any repetition of inverse functions are still many students who score below KKM. From the discussion in MGMPs indicated that student difficulties in determining the inverse function due to step determines inverse functions too abstract. Therefore do classroom action research in an effort to improve student learning outcomes in class XI-IPA-7 (Acceleration) SMAN 2 Brass Odd semesters of the school year 2014 to 2015 on the basis of competence finding the inverse of a function by applying a Scientific Approach (Scientific Approach) with Undo Procedure. Application of Scientific Approach (Scientific Approach) with the Undo procedure is proven to improve student learning outcomes in class XI-IPA-7 (Acceleration) 2 SMAN 2 Brass half of the school year 2015 to 2016 on the basis of competence finding the inverse of a function. This is supported by: (1) the results of the competency test is very high. The average results of the competency test in cycle 1 was 88.44 increase in cycle 2 to 97.50. (2) the group's work was optimal. The average results of the group work in cycle 1 was 96.67 increase in cycle 2 to 100 (3) the results of students' activity quite well. Activity of students in cycle 1 was 83.95 increase in cycle 2 to 96.30. Based on the conclusion, delivered the following suggestions: (1) The Scientific Approach (Scientific Approach) with the Undo procedure can increase the activity of learning and student learning outcomes in basic competency finding the inverse of a function. And (2) To other researchers suggested that trying to conduct action research class that implements the Application of Scientific Approach (Scientific Approach) for the other subjects.Keywords: Scientific Approach, Procedures Undo, Inverse function.

Abstract

Abstract Geometry is a branch of mathematics that is taught in school, from elementary school, high school and college. Student Mathematics Education Kuningan University in the course Geometry 3D which gained less than satisfactory achievements in the course of the geometry 3D. The ability visual thinking and spatial thinking affect learners' achievements in learning the geometry. Authors interested in diagnosing the difficulties Student Mathematics Education of Kuningan University in the course Geometry 3D through Ability Test of Visual-Spatial Thinking. The purpose of this study is to diagnose visual-spatial thinking abilities Student of Kuningan University and describe efforts to improve student results in the course of the geometry 3D. Based on the exposure of the work about the ability of visual-spatial thinking and discussion it can be concluded that: a) The ability of visual-spatial thinking mathematics education student Kuningan University is still low, especially students who are capable of moderate and low. Students are still experiencing difficulties in resolving problems related to the concept of a perpendicular line and projections; distance of points, lines and areas; as well as the angle between the line and the field; b) The ability of visual-spatial thinking is a skill that must be developed in studying the geometry 3D, one of the low result of learning the geometry 3D is due to the ability of visual-spatial thinking is still low; c) One effort to improve visual-spatial thinking ability of students is learning the geometry of space through problem-based learning with assisted software GeoGebra.Keywords: Visual-Spatial Thinking Ability, Geometri 3D

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of students' mathematical proportional abilities in terms of independent field learning styles. This research was conducted at MTs Nurul Huda Beringin in September Odd Semester, Academic Year 2020/2021 with a total of 9 students of class VII A. The research subjects were selected by purposive sampling, consisting of 2 students with independent field cognitive style. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case research design. The data technique used the Group Embedded Figures Test, mathematical proportional reasoning ability tests, in-depth interviews and observations. Data analysis techniques were performed by data reduction, data presentation, and data retrieval. The technique of checking the validity of the data used the technique triangulation method. The results showed that: (1) There were 2 students who had a cognitive style in the field. (2) Students with field independent cognitive style, namely LH and DK subjects are at level 3 formal proportional reasoning, the second subject has been able to meet the indicators of finding values or quantities to compare, indicators find relationships between values or quantities and indicators use appropriate procedures in calculating comparisons.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In this paper , the propagation of waves with an initial condition on the foundation are varied( varying bottom ) simulated by the model Linear Shallow Water Equations ( LSWE ) 1D . 1D LSWE solution with an initial condition was approached with numerical solutions , which use spectral methods . To reduce waves so as not to repeat back to the spatial domain need to be defined damping zone. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims or determining whether the achievement and improvement of mathematical reasoning of junior high school students who learn using open-ended approach is better than using conventional learning. The research conducted was experimental research. The population in this study was all junior high school students in Kabupaten Bandung Barat. While the samples were taken two classes VIII from one grade, where class VIII B became experimental class and class VIII A became the control class . The instrument used in the research was in the form of five essay tests that measure students' mathematical reasoning. To know the improvement of student's mathematical reasoning before and after learning activity, normalized gain calculation was done, then data of pretest and postes result were processed by normality, homogeneity and difference average tests. Based on the analysis of the data resul processing in this study, it could be concluded that the achievement and improvement of mathematical reasoning among students who learn using open-ended approach was better than using conventional learning.Keywords: Open-Ended Approach, Mathematical Reasoning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of estafet learning method to improve students' critical thinking skills, increase student learning outcomes, to determine the relationship of critical thinking to student learning outcomes and to determine the responses of students about the application of estafet learning method. This research is a quantitative research. The research instruments included test questions, observation sheets, and questionnaire sheets. The subjects in this study were students of the computer faculty of the fourth semester informatics engineering study program. Data analysis techniques used the gain test, correlation test and Likert scale analysis. The results showed an increase in critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in the medium category. The relationship between critical thinking skills and learning outcomes has a strong enough relationship in the very significant category. Student responses to the application of estafet learning method showed a positive response.

Abstract

This research purpose of this article is to know the increase of the ability of mathematical communication  based on the learning software cabri on 3D material. Research method used is quasi experiment with group design control post. The experimental units is two classes which use learning with software cabri 3D, and conventional learning. The subject of this research is thirty students class XI SMK in Karawang. Instrument used to measure mathematical communication ability is written test in explanation form. The result of data analysis shows that learning with using software cabri 3D gave influence to the increasing of mathematical communication ability on three dimension material. The average score of control group is 20,73, and the average score of treatment group is 24,97
