Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is conducted as a preliminary study that aims to determine the achievement and improvement of advanced mathematical thinking skills of students. In college, mathematics is generally more difficult and complex than ever. This is because the material given is more abstract. Therefore, mathematics and mathematics education students are expected to construct mathematical definitions/concepts independently, to prove logically, and to further develop their mathematical abilities. In fact, the learning process in the classroom does not improve the ability of mathematical thinking and even tends not to awaken the habits of the mind of the student, hence to overcome the problem, this research is studied a learning approach, the metacognitive skill approach. This research is an experimental research with research instrument that used is test of advanced mathematical thinking ability of student and student habits of mind scale. This research was conducted on final year students who contracted real analysis courses at STKIP Siliwangi Bandung. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the achievement and improvement of advanced mathematical thinking skills of students who gain learning with metacognitive skills approach is better than those who get regular learning. In general, students who gain learning with a metacognitive skills approach habits of mind better on ordinary learning..Keywords: Advanced Mathematical Thinking, Habits of Mind, Metacognitive Skill Approach.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of group investigation in improving contextual problem solving in the material rational and irrational inequality of class X students of senior high school Islam Nusantara Malang. This research was conducted on the basis of preliminary tests that have been given before the action of learning. These results indicate a lack of student interest in mathematics, as well as an understanding of mathematical concepts that need to learn rational and irrational inequalities also show less satisfaction. This research is a class action research, which consists of 2 cycles. The subjects of this study consisted of 10 students, with 7 students from the Social Sciences major, and 3 students majoring in Natural Sciences. The research instrument uses question sheets and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques by calculating the completeness of student learning outcomes. The first cycle shows the completeness of student learning outcomes that is equal to 60% of 10 students. Furthermore, in the second cycle increased completeness of student learning outcomes to 80%. So it can be concluded that the Group Investigation is proven to be able to improve the contextual problem solving in the matter of rational and irrational inequality.

Abstract

This article describes the influence of teachers' pedagogical understanding of mathematical abilities of vocational students in the application of learning models ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction). The method used in this study is an experiment with a model of "pre-test post-test one group design". The population in this study  is the students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Karawang and the Samples are taken as one class. The research instruments consisted of the test the ability of understanding mathematical and questionnaire pedagogical competence of teachers. The findings of this study is based on a simple linear regression analysis showed that: there significant pedagogical competence of teachers to students' mathematical understanding capabilities in the application of learning models ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction). Based on these conclusions, the teachers should always improve pedagogy for learning mathematics interested students so that the students' mathematics learning increases and may consider learning ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction) can be used as an alternative learning in the classroom to improve the results of students' mathematics learning.Keywords: learning model ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction), pedagogical competence of teachers, the ability of mathematical understanding

Abstract

Penjadwalan adalah kegiatan untuk menentukan waktu yang dibutuhkan dan urutan kegiatan serta menentukan waktu proyek dapat diselesaikan. Aljabar Max-plus merupakan salah satu metode yang bisa digunakan dalam menyelesaikan masalah penjadwalan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui model Aljabar Max-plus dalam pembangunan perumahan dan waktu optimum dalam menyelesaikan proyek pembangunan perumahan. solusi optimal waktu dalam pembangunan perumahan. Penelitian menggunakan metode Analisis data dengan menggunakan studi literatur dan pengumpulan data. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan data primer. Adapun prosdur dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengambil data pembangunan peumahan, membuat alur petri net, mencari model Aljabar Max-plus, membuat matriks Aljabar Max-plus, mengolah data, dan mencari jalur kritis. Hasil penelitian diperoleh waktu optimal meggunakan analisis model Aljabar Max-plus yaitu selama 62 hari.

Abstract

AbstractGroup Theory course is contained the definitions, proof of theorem, and lemma so that in order to understand it, the students must have a good mathematical proofing ability. Furthermore, this article examines the comparative improvement of students' mathematical proofing abilities in the course of Group Theory. Comparisons were performed on three groups chosen purposively by subject matching techniques. The result of the research shows that at 95% level of confidence there is a difference in the improvement of students' mathematical proofing ability between those who get learning through the application of CRS theory with mastery learning materials, with students who get learning through CRS theory application and students who get learning through the application of constructivism theory.Keyword: Mathematical Proofing Ability, Conditioning, Reinforcement, Scaffolding, Mastery Learning

Abstract

This research intended to describe the mathematical representation of students in solving statistical problems based on the Krulik anf Rdunick steps. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were students of the second semester mathematic education study program. The procedure of subjects using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity used triangulation. Data analysis techniques using the Mile and Huberman step, namely data reduction, data presentations, drawing conclusions and verifyingconclusions. The results The results of this study are as follows: (1) subjects with high ability in the read and think and exploration and plan stages, using verbal and symbolic representations. The stage of select a strategy, using symbolic representation. The find and answer stage, uses symbolic and visual representations. In the reflect and extend step, the subject uses verbal representations. For students with moderate ability in the stage of read and think and explore and plan using verbal representation. The stage of finding an answer and select a strategy using verbal and symbolic representation. The reflect and extend stage of the subject uses symbolic representations. In students with low ability to read and think and explore and plan using verbal representation. Stage select a strategy subject using symbolic representation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertitik tolak dari suatu asumsi  atau pandangan yang melihat adanya perbedaan kompetensi individu, kreativitas individu, pimpinan, dan faktor lingkungan dengan kinerja atau produktivitas lembaga pendidikan. Pemikiran ini  rasional dan logis karena kompetensi individu dalam suatu produktivitas dipengaruhi oleh kreativitas pimpinan, dan faktor lingkungan dimana mereka beraktivitas. Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang profil guru matematika  dan kebijakan kepala sekolah  dalam  upaya peningkatan kualitas diri pendidik  dan secara khusus penelitian ini difocuskan pada kompetensi individu, kreativitas pimpinan dan faktor lingkungan sebagai moderator atau motivator terhadap : Prestasi Akademik, Sustainabilitas dan kinerja. Penelitian yang dilakukan berupa penelitian kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan penyebaran angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mutu guru matematika  perlu ditingkatkan, kebijakan kepala sekolah dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu guru mateamtika termasuk pada kategori cukup, prestasi akademik, kinerja dan lingkungan perlu dioptimalkan dalam meningkatkan mutu guru matematika.

Abstract

Buyung dance is rarely displayed and has begun to be unknown to the public. Also, children, today prefer foreign culture and dance. As a result, the existence of Buyung dance is only limited to recognition, without the benefits that can be felt. The absence of written guidelines in each of the Buyung dance movements is very interesting for researchers to analyze the relationship of the Buyung dance movements with mathematics. This type of research used in this study is qualitative research. In qualitative research, the instrument is the researcher himself and cannot be replaced by others. Data collection techniques used in this study through the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Every hand movement of the dancers and movements between dancers to one another makes the movements of the dances neat and attractive following the Frieze Group, with four frieze patterns found in the dances of the pitchers.

Abstract

Abstract This research based on the result of preliminary observation at MTs Nurul Huda Beringin. Documentation of supervision by headmaster who has been held in the school, data showed that the learning mathematics with scientific approach applied by teachers are still not optimal. Based on documenttion of learning outcome students the data that there are 40% of students not reached the minimum competence criteria. Humans have nine types of intelegence, seven of the nine types of intelegence are: verbal/linguistic intelegence, visual/spatial, logical/mathematical, musical, bodily/kinesthetic, interpersonal and intrapersonal. This research is a classroom action research with qualitative descriptive approach implemented in class VII MTs Nurul Hudda Beringin, Cirebon, on the material relations and function. Based on the analysis we concluded that the study of mathematics involving multiple intelegences with scientific approach by the steps: 1) preliminary activities; 2) the core activities consist of observasing, ask, gather information, associates and communicate; and 3) the cover. While multiple intelegences involved in learning is verbal/linguistic intelegence, visual/spatial intelegence, logical/mathematical intelegence, musical intelegence, the intelegence of the body/kinesthetic, interpersonal and intrapersonal intelegence. In the first cycle, the average result of observation activities of students and teachers was 70% and 76%  in the unfavorable and fairly category. In the second cycle, the average results of observation activities of students and teacher was 82% and 83%, both  in good categories. In the first cycle, the achievment of students VIII-A is a total of 18 students or 46% students take the final value more than 75. In the second cycle, the achievment of student VIII-A is of the total of 31 students or 80% students obtain the final score more than 75. So the achievment learning was increasing 34% from the first cycle to the second cycle.
