Abstract

The purpose of branding design as an effort to improve the brand image is to get to know and attract consumers' interest to come to Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill. The method used in this design is to use qualitative methods by conducting observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. This needs to be done in order to collect supporting data for the preparation of branding design concepts. So the design of this branding is done with a unique and interesting visual form that can be applied to promotional media so as to form the brand image of the Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill. The result of this design changed branding is the logo as the main identity that is designed based on the identity of the Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill. Besides that, it is equipped with other supporting media.

Abstract

This research was conducted because it was found to report a problem in the design of the presidential election campaign poster, for that research related to analyzing the design of the Prabowo-Sandi campaign poster in the Presidential Election (2019). Color, typography, layout on Prabowo-Sandi's design media poster in the 2019 presidential election campaign The research method uses descriptive qualitative by gathering information about the Prabowo-Sandi campaign poster posters in 2019. The sample in this study used a cluster random sampling sample using a sample of small unit groups. The results showed that Prabowo-Sandi's media poster design in the 2019 Presidential Election campaign received a good category with an average of 89 with good results.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the principles of craftsmanship and variation on souvenirs made from patchwork ulos, which are carried out in the Batik & Souvenir Business on Jalan Pengapdian Gg. Musa Pulungan Dusun I Bandar setia, Tembung, North Sumatra. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Samples for this study were 12 types of souvenirs made from ulos patchwork produced by craftsmen. The data collection methods used were observation and documentation. The results of this study showed the results of the application the principles of handicraft on 12 samples of souvenirs made from ulos patchwork produced by craftsmen.

Abstract

This study aims to ilustrate the application of elements that affect the design such as the application of text elements , the compatibility of the typeface to the message, the compability of the color with the text, and the visual compatibility of the theme on the 2019 tebing Tinggi health office poster. There are 25 posters of varios kinds on the posters the sample of this research by using purposive sampling, the technique of taking sample with consideration, the researcher took 5 posters as the sample. This research was conducted a descriptive researcher based on direct obsevation and literature study. The resuits showed that all poster was good, obtained through study and interpreted by the outher from the entire poster, they are the application of text element cukup lancar dibaca elemen teks- the application of the typeface is match with the message, the color is match with the text, the visual is suitable with the theme Tebing Tinggi health office poster in 2019 can be concluded as in good category.

Abstract

This book also explains about the origin of batik patterns from its region. Batik, which is the authentic traditional clothing of East Java, is losing its existence. Less knowledge about East Java batik makes it more outdated particularly from younger generation. This fashion photography book is expected to be a guide and solution for younger generation appreciating and perceiving fashion style, especially East Java batik. This fashion photography book is made to actively exhibit various kind of East Java batik that making an actual progress day by day. The information about the pattern of the batik is shown in this book, so that the public become more familiar with the origin of East Java batik. Perhaps, this book can increase the public interest to wear the origin batik of East Java.There are two sources of the data taken for this fashion photography book, which are primary and secondary data. The data collected by interviewing several interviewees, observing several books, and using the modification framework plan by Sanyoto. The result of this book design can be used as the media of fashion photography book for public to know more about East Java batik. This book can be used to educate and increase the public awareness and interest to wear the traditional attire specifically, East Java batik.

Abstract

Maria Puhsarang Cave in Kediri has a very interesting charm of beauty to visit. Its beauty is seen because of rice fields and plantationresidents and has a cool air temperature because it is located under the slope of Mount Wilis. Maria Puhsarang cave suffers from many shortcomings, including no explanation or information about the existing building that makes the visitors confused. In fact, the explanation of each of the buildings can be useful communication tools. Therefore, it takes a media that can answer the shortcomings, which is an information media that can provide infomation about the circumstances and buildings in the Maria Puhsarang Cave.The design method begins with a background research of the problem and then resumes with data collection, consisting of primary dataand secondary data. Furthermore, the analysis data and synthesis will be conducted, to determine the concept of design and perform the design process to the end of the designs. Thus, this design resulted in a catalogue of photography titled "Gua Maria Puhsarang and quot;, or in English means “Maria Puhsarang Cave”. In this catalogue, the photographs will be arranged in such a way and equipped with a brief description explaining each photograph, so it is hoped that the photography catalogue can be used as one of the tourist information media of the Maria Puhsarang Cave who can provide more information for the tour.

Abstract

Madura traditional clothing illustration book is intended for children at the age of 9-12 years old or school age grades 3-6. The children can think spontaneously make interaction with objects in the environment and learn. The designer design the media through an attractive illustration book to interest the children in reading and observing the visualization. The Design Model is taken from Sanyoto design model, which begins with the background of the problem, identification, data sources, data analysis, synthesis, design concepts, the design, prototype and final process. The designing of an illustration book is conducted by using the sketch process then applying in digital by using Adobe Photoshop CC software and corel draw packaged into a hardcover book in 17.5 cm x 17.5 cm dimension. In addition to the main media, the project is also designing the support media to promote illustrative books on Madura traditional clothing such as x-banner, key chain, t-shirt, tote bag, glass and fan. This illustration book has its supporting media to promote illustration books on Madura traditional clothing, such as x-banner, key chain, t-shirt, tote bag, glass, fans and stickers. The next designer is expected to be able to design similar project by using different media.

Abstract

Bondowoso is one of the regencies in Indonesia that has potential, including its natural tourism potential. Bondowoso is the only district in the “Tapal Kuda” area that does not have a coastline. Many potential tourism objects owned by Bondowoso Regency, one of which is "Wurung Crater". Therefore, the authors make promotional media in the form of videos that make about the tourism of Wurung Bondowoso Crater. The video was chosen because the video is a moving image that provides information on a concept and the message to be delivered. The best promotional media to get around are youtube and instagram. Videos provide convenience in terms of technical video making. The design model uses the Sadjiman Ebdi Sanyoto model, which begins with a background problem identification, data sources, then continues with the design concept, design process and final. The software used in the editing process includes: Adobe Premier pro CC 2015. The duration of this Wurung Crater video is around 1 minutes 20 seconds. Supporting media include t-shirts, hats, pins, books, stickers, x banners, bags, sleeping bags. For the next writer it is expected to be able to design with the same problems but with different media.

Abstract

The richness of literary performances in Indonesia is very diverse. The diversity that exists is wealth that can not be calculated in value. Regional culture is reflected in various aspects of existing community life, because each region has different cultural characteristics. This culture needs to be preserved so as not to decrease or even disappear. Malang Mask has become one of the high artistic value cultural heritages in Malang. The community must be familiar with the arts of this area in order to maintain culture. However, people now if you look at culture with a traditional display it will be difficult to attract their attention. In the design process it is necessary to analyze data, primary data sources and secondary data sources. The next step is to draw conclusions from the results of the data obtained. After the conclusion is obtained next is to determine the concept based on the results of the data conclusions. The methodology used is to use the 5w + 1H approach which is used as a basis for the concept of problem solving, which consists of What, Who, When, Where, Why, and How. The purpose of the 5W + 1H analysis is to get the video mapping design concept that will be produced. This video mapping media showcases culture with a modern concept, Malang Mask characters will be the content in this video. This video mapping will be an installation that uses 3D fields as objects to be projected. This media is also supported by poster media, infographics, t-shirts, totebags, social media and key chains. It is hoped that the "Rawat Raut" video mapping design can help introduce and preserve Malang Mask culture.

Abstract

Kerawang Gayo is the designation of the Gayo carving motifs of Central Aceh Province. The Gayo Kerawang motif can be found on wooden houses, pottery, wicker, metal, and cloth. In this context discusses the Gayo Kerawang which is applied to traditional Gayo clothes, especially wedding clothes. On the Gayo wedding dress which is still pure from the ancestors and has not been exposed to modernization, it uses a black base color (cloth) with red, green, white, and yellow thread embroidery. Whereas in the modern version of the traditional Gayo traditional wedding dress, there have been many changes both from the color of the fabric used, as well as to the shape and size of the openwork motifs used. This study aims to determine the shape, color and placement of the Gayo Kerawang motif on the traditional Gayo wedding dress. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method approach, namely by describing each object to be studied. The findings of this study indicate that eight Kerawang Gayo motifs were found on the traditional Kerawang Gayo bridal dress in Central Aceh. Namely: pucuk ni tuwis, emun berangkat, jang/peger, sarak opat, tekukur, keleton senye, emun beriring, and emun singah modification. There is also a change in the color of the traditional Gayo bridal kerawang cloth, and the placement of the Kerawang motif on the traditional Gayo wedding dress, has no special rules.
