Abstract

[Bahasa]: M99 Beverage adalah salah satu industri rumah tangga (IRT) di desa Tambakyudan, Kota Pasuruan yang bergerak pada produk olahan susu, salah satunya yaitu ‘Gully’ (Yoghurt Jelly). Di masa sulit pandemi Covid-19, M99 Beverage terpaksa vakum setelah berupaya maksimal untuk tetap beroperasi di tiga bulan awal kasus positif Covid-19. Permasalahan yang dihadapi M99 Beverage adalah terkait dengan upaya produksi, pengemasan, dan pemasaran produk. Produksi Gully tidak berjalan secara maksimal karena masih diproduksi secara manual dan tergantung pada suhu ruangan dalam pembuatan kefirnya. Masalah lainnya adalah desain kemasan produk yang belum optimal dan strategi pemasaran yang masih manual (hanya mengandalkan pemasaran dari mulut ke mulut). Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas produksi dan penjualan M99 Beverage sebagai mitra kegiatan melalui pengadaan alat produksi, pemasaran produk, dan perbaikan desain label atau kemasan produk. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, identifikasi masalah, perumusan masalah, pelaksanaa kegiatan sebagai tindakan solusi permasalahan, dan evaluasi output Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa mitra dapat berinovasi dalam penambahan varian produk yang baru yaitu es lilin, es krim dan Gully Squeeze. Setelah kegiatan ini mitra juga berhasil mendesain label yang lebih representatif dan mencerminkan branding yang baik. Mitra juga berhasil membuat media promosi produk yang berbasis platform digital antara lain facebook, twitter, dan landing page. Dengan langkah-langkah solusi yang dilakukan melalui program ini, produksi dan penjualan mitra bertambah dari 40 botol/ minggu di bulan Juni 2021, menjadi 60 botol/minggu di bulan Juli 2021. Ini menunjukkan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas produksi industri rumah tangga yang bergerak dalam bidang susu olahan. Kata Kunci: susu olahan, kefir, landing page, M99 Beverage, Gully [English]: M99 Beverage is one of the home industries (IRT) in Tambakyudan village, Pasuruan City that produces dairy products, one of which is 'Gully' (Yoghurt Jelly). During the Covid-19 pandemic, M99 Beverage had to halt any operations after trying to operate in the first three months of Covid-19. The problems faced by M99 Beverage are related to production, packaging, and product marketing efforts. Gully production was not optimal because it is still produced manually and depends on room temperature. Other problems are related to the non-optimal design of product packaging and marketing strategies, which are still manual (only relies on word-of-mouth marketing). The purpose of this community program is to increase the production and sales activities of M99 Beverage as a partner through procurement of production equipment, product marketing, and improvement of product labels or packaging designs. The methods used include observation, problem identification, problem formulation, implementation of problem solution actions, and evaluation of the outputs. The results of this program show that the partners can innovate in adding new product variants, namely ice wax, ice cream, and Gully Squeeze. After this program, partners also succeeded in designing labels that were more representative and reflect good branding. They have also succeeded in creating product promotion media based on digital platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and landing pages. With the solution steps carried out through this program, partners' production and sales have increased from 40 bottles/week in June 2021, to 60 bottles/week in July 2021. This shows that this program is effective in increasing household industrial production activities, which operates in the dairy sector. Abstract

Pasuruan City Public Library has an activity that aims to appreciate the talent of elementary school age children in the field of literature through story telling events. The activity is an annual routine activity organized by the public library of Pasuruan city as an effort to get closer to the community. The use of promotional media in story telling events organized by the Pasuruan city public library is needed to attract the attention of the wider community. Considering the lack of media promotion carried out by the Pasuruan city public library, the event lacked support for the community. The design used to promote story telling events in the form of rebranding promotional media and the addition of supporting media in the form of stationary sets and merchandise. Promotional media rebranding is one of the solutions to help increase the attractiveness of the community towards organizing story telling events. The addition of media such as stationary sets and merchandise is not only used to attract the attention of the public, but the use of the media is intended as an added value needed so that the event has a separate identity.

Abstract

The purpose of branding design as an effort to improve the brand image is to get to know and attract consumers' interest to come to Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill. The method used in this design is to use qualitative methods by conducting observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. This needs to be done in order to collect supporting data for the preparation of branding design concepts. So the design of this branding is done with a unique and interesting visual form that can be applied to promotional media so as to form the brand image of the Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill. The result of this design changed branding is the logo as the main identity that is designed based on the identity of the Talangagung Education Tourism Landfill. Besides that, it is equipped with other supporting media.

Abstract

 One way to attract consumers to buy products is through attractive packaging. Therefore, this community service (SSI) aims to provide training related to packaging polishing using screen printing for small scale industry actors in the city of Pasuruan. Specifically, the purpose of writing this article is to describe the implementation and results of bottle screen printing training as a form of community service for food and beverage business actors in the city of Pasuruan. The method implemented is divided into three main stages, namely analysis as well as preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The team collaborated with the Demer sablon company, Pasuruan city to provide screen printing training materials. In the training session, many participants were enthusiastic about asking questions and greatly appreciated the training activities. Also, in the practice of screen printing, many participants produced good screen prints in the first trial (84%), while others (16%) produced ordinary screen prints. It can be concluded that community service activities through bottle screen printing training for SSI actors in the city of Pasuruan are very useful and increase the knowledge and basic skills of participants on how to screen print packaging bottles manually.

Abstract

Abstract: This ethnophotography book of Wayang Krucil Malang is an idea about the importance of information, documentation and one of the efforts to protect and maintain art and culture in Malang Raya. Currently Wayang Krucil in Gondowangi Village is in a poor condition, not many people care about this art, except for only a few artists. Concern from the government is also felt to be very lacking, when in fact this Krucil Puppet can be used as an artistic and cultural asset in Malang Raya. In this design, photography is used as a method to analyze a culture in everyday life. The focus of the design of this book is more on the visual aspect using photography as the medium. The selection of photography is considered capable of displaying the reality of the social situation in it. Photos recorded on the camera can display a variety of information and materials about ethnography. Ethnophotography comes from the amalgamation of ethnography and photography in anthropological studies. With the design of this book, it is hoped that it will be able to provide information to the public about the art of Wayang Krucil and can foster a sense of love, ownership and preservation of existing cultural arts. Saat ini Wayang Krucil di Desa Gondowangi dalam kondisi yang cukup memprihatinkan, tidak banyak orang yang peduli dengan kesenian ini, kecuali hanya beberapa seniman saja. Kepedulian dari pihak pemerintahan juga dirasa masih sangat kurang, padahal sebenarnya Wayang Krucil ini dapat dijadikan aset seni dan budaya di Malang Raya. Dalam perancangan ini fotografi digunakan sebagai metode untuk menganalisis sebuah kebudayaan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Perancangan buku ini dititik beratkan pada segi visual yang menggunakan foto sebagai medianya. Pemilihan Fotografi dianggap mampu menampilkan realitas situasi sosial didalamnya. Foto yang terekam dalam kamera dapat menampilkan beragam informasi serta materi tentang etnografi. Etnofotografi adalah penggabungan antara etnografi dan fotografi dalam studi antropologi. Dengan adanya perancangan buku ini agar dapat memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai kesenian Wayang Krucil serta dapat menumbuhkan rasa kecintaan terhadap kesenian dan budaya yang ada. Abstract

Folklore always exists in every region, including Indonesia. Folklore is a form of culture and/or history of a place to date. Therefore, existing folklore needs to be maintained by creating the latest literacy that adapts to current era and technology. One of them is by making adaptations of folk tales through digital comics based on internet sites, aka web comic. The aim is to make folklore relevant and easily accessible and become better known to the public. This research uses a qualitative method by referring to book that explaining the setting of the era when folklore occurred and relevant literature studies. Supporting media used as promotional material in this research include social media posting, posters, banners, tote bags, key chains, pins, mugs, hand-held fan.

Abstract

SMK Walisongo 1 Gempol bersaing sengit dengan 10 SMK Swasta lain dalam banyak hal, terutama pembentukan citra branding yang dianggap penting Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk membuat brand identity SMK Walisongo 1 Gempol sebagai upaya rebranding. Perancangan menggunakan metode Double Diamond yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu 1). Discover, 2). Define, 3). Develop, 4). Deliver. Elemen brand identity mencakup logo, tipografi, elemen grafis pendukung, dan warna. Berdasar­kan elemen tersebut dirancang pula buku pedoman berupa Graphic Standard Manual sebagai edukasi, informasi, dan acuan. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa SMK Walisongo 1 Gempol memiliki dua logo, yang pertama digunakan pada tahun 1985 hingga 2015 dan yang kedua pada tahun 2015-sekarang. Proses perancangan diawali dengan brainstorming menggunakan metode mind mapping untuk membentuk keyword yang merperesentasikan SMK Walisongo 1 Gempol, yaitu islamic, modern, professional, casual, playful, dan young. Logogram berasal dari studi visual yang berkaitan dengan walisongo dan islam secara historis. Kemudian logotype dirancang menggunakan font TT Commons yang termasuk dalam jenis Sans Serif. Elemen brand identity tersebut diaplikasikan dalam 6 kategori media, yaitu 1). stationary set, 2). media promosi cetak, 3). media promosi digital, 4) atribut almamater, 5). merchandise, dan 6). kendaraan.

Abstract

Adanya, dan kekerasan dalam pertandingan sepak bola Indonesia seringkali menjadi hal yang mengganggu dan sulit dikendalikan keberadaannya. Selain dapat mengganggu jalannya pertandingan, juga dapat menjadi pemicu perseteruan antar suporter sepak bola. Sementara edukasi mengenai bahaya rasisme dan kekerasan dalam pertandingan sepak bola masih minim. Regulasi atau regulasi yang membatasi hal tersebut dirasa masih kurang jelas, sehingga dalam permasalahan ini keilmuan desain komunikasi visual dapat memberikan adanya solusi melalui media kreatif untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan gejolak rasisme dan kekerasan di industri sepak bola Indonesia. Informasi dengan bahasa yang tepat akan lebih efektif karena suporter lebih kreatif terpikat dalam menyalurkan dukungan dan lebih peduli serta tidak merugikan tim yang didukung.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan atomic design system pada proses perancangan desain poster komunikasi visual. Banyak cara menciptakan produk desain untuk kebutuhan tertentu. Urgensi penelitian ini adalah karena selama ini banyak desainer terutama mahasiswa, yang bingung dengan proses desain poster. Banyak metode desain yang tidak semuanya sesuai dengan penciptaan desain poster. Maka, atomic design ayatem merupakan alternatif metode yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat desain poster. Desain poster tersebut memiliki dua tujuan yang penting, yaitu menyampaikan pesan atau informasi dengan baik dan benar pada masyarakat, dan menampilkan informasi tersebut dengan artistik dan estetik. Atomic Design System dapat membantu desainer dalam membuat desain dengan tujuan-tujuan tersebut. Disamping langkah yang sistematis, system ini juga membuat elemen desain dan elemen informasi yang akan disajikan teridentifikasi dengan lengkap. Metode atomic memiliki langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: atomic element, molekul element, organisme desain, menyiapkan halaman, serta merancang template desain . proses dari atomic design system ini menghasilkan elemen desain yang tertata, alur baca yang baik, serta template design yang dapat diterapkan pada desain lain. Studi kasus perancangan poster PIMNAS merupakan studi yang tepat karena poster PIMNAS menampilkan banyak informasi dan data serta harus disajikan dengan runtut dan jelas. Hasil dari penerapan Atomic Design System adalah final design poster PIMNAS dengan legibility dan readability yang baik. Kata Kunci: atomic design, desain poster, sistem tata letak, tipografi AbstractThis study aims to apply the atomic design system to the poster design process of visual communication design. There are many ways to create and design products for specific needs. This research is urgent because many designers, especially students, are confused about the poster design process. Many design methods are not all appropriate for creating poster designs. So, the atomic design system is an alternative method that can be used to make poster designs. These poster designs have two important goals: conveying messages or information properly and correctly to the public and presenting the information artistically and aesthetically. Atomic Design System can assist designers in making designs with these goals. In addition to systematic steps, this system also makes design elements and information elements be presented wholly identified. The atomic method has the following steps: Atomic elements, Molecular elements, design organisms, prepare pages, and design templates. This atomic design system produces well-organized design elements, good reading flow, and design templates that can be applied to other designs. The PIMNAS poster design case study is the proper study because the PIMNAS poster displays a lot of information and data and must be presented coherently and clearly. The result of implementing the Atomic Design System is the final PIMNAS poster design with good legibility and readability. Keywords: atomic design, layout system, poster design, typography

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating Entrepreneurship Education into Visual Communication Design (VCD) curricula to enhance students' empathy and their capacity to support community development. By embedding entrepreneurial principles, the program aims to cultivate social responsibility and practical skills, empowering students to contribute to the economic and cultural sustainability of local communities. The research involved two student cohorts from Universitas Negeri Malang and Universitas Ma Chung, who collaborated with Kampung Warna-Warni, a renowned tourism village in Malang, Indonesia. Over a one semester workshop, students designed souvenirs to boost creativity and income for village residents while fostering their own empathy. Result show a the potential of combining academic learning with practical application to achieve both educational and community development objectives.
