Abstract

Research Aims: This research was carried out based on the use of technology by teachers at SMK PGRI 2 Malang in implementing learning that was not yet optimal. This research aims to develop Genially interactive media so that it can increase student activity in classroom learning Design/methodology/approach: The method used in this research is Resources and Development using the ADDIE model. Product trials were carried out in class XI Digital Business. The data used in this research is qualitative and quantitative data. Data analysis was carried out using percentage analysis, normality test, and Independents Sample T-Test. This research produces Genially interactive media products that are attractive and served with various menus. Genially's interactive media has gone through the media and material expert validation stage Research Findings: The results of the analysis prove that there are differences in learning activity in the experimental class and the control class, so it can be concluded that this media is effectively used as a source of teaching materials and can increase students' learning activity Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The theoretical contribution of using Genially interactive media to build student engagement lies in its integration of multimedia elements with interactive learning, which enhances cognitive engagement and motivation. Abstract

Research Aims: This development research aims to develop accounting computer learning media (Accurate Manufacture).   Design/methodology/approach: This learning media was created using the R&D development model. The research design used a quasi-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-post-test design. The application is named “AMMan,” which generally includes Accurate Online Integration components that can be accessed via mobile, material, quizzes, interactive questions, and a teacher collaborative space.   Research Findings: The results of material and media expert validation with a score of 87.4%, limited users 84.6%, and students 87%, indicate that overall aspects are valid and feasible for use in learning activities. The research results through the paired sample t-test showed that the sig. The value of the cognitive domain was 0.001 less than the significance level of 0.05, so it can be stated that there are differences in learning outcomes before and after using learning media.   Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The difference indicates an increase in student learning outcomes, which, on average, increased by 21% in the cognitive domain. Thus, it can be stated that “AMMan” is effective in improving student learning outcomes at the student understanding level.

Abstract

Research Aims: This case study explores the ‘Mohan Biscuit Udhyog’ in Dhankuta, Nepal, a traditional, small-scale business that has become a cultural symbol and popular gift. Despite expansion challenges, including the impact of COVID-19, the business has maintained its appeal by preserving its artisanal approach, relying on community-driven marketing, and considering trademarks to protect its key products against competition.   Design/methodology/approach: The paper has adopted a single case study research design. A single case study research design is a collective term for an in-depth analysis of a small non-random sample (Hunziker & Blankenagel, 2021). Among 15 biscuit industries operating at Dhankuta, only one biscuit industry, Mohan Biscuit Udhyog’, is taken as sample for the case study for the paper.   Research Findings: The study highlights the role of heritage-based enterprises in fostering community identity, sustainable production, and cultural preservation, suggesting that similar rural businesses can succeed by emphasizing quality, local heritage, and community engagement. This case underscores the potential of rural entrepreneurship in creating culturally significant brands that contribute both economically and socially to their regions. Over time, despite having varieties of products, Dhankute Coconut Biscuits have grown in popularity, attributed to their unique firewood-baked flavor, traditional production methods, and a strong local reputation sustained through word-of-mouth marketing. This shows how a single product can maintain the image and continuity of the small-scale business.   Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This case study of Dhankute Coconut Biscuits exemplifies how traditional businesses, rooted in community and heritage, can create lasting economic and cultural value, offering valuable insights into the intersection of local entrepreneurship and cultural preservation.
