Jurnal Tathwir adalah jurnal ilmiah tentang isu-isu sosial dan perkembangan masyarakat Islam. Jurnal ini pertama kali diterbitkan pada bulan April 2009 oleh Departemen Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam (PMI), Fakultas Dakwah UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Nama Jurnal Tathwir terinspirasi dari semangat perubahan yang merupakan derivasi dari kata “tathwir” (perubahan). Jurnal ini terbit secara berkala setiap bulan April dan Oktober. Jurnal Tathwir memuat artikel-artikel dari hasil penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat yang berkaitan dengan kajian ilmu-ilmu sosial keagamaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and reveal how BAZNAS motivates the community to increase paying zakat through motivation, good communication and instilling cooperation carried out by the BAZNAS institution in West Pasaman Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. From this study, it is known that BAZNAS motivates citrus planters to increase paying zakat in Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency with the following explanation: (1) BAZNAS's motivation is in the form of socialization and direct visits to the community. Provide encouragement and invitations to citrus planters to pay their zakat to BAZNAS, and provide direction on the importance of tithing. (2) The application of communication carried out by BAZNAS is in the form of oral and written communication. Examples of oral communication carried out include conveying about the BAZNAS program and to whom the zakat they pay is distributed. While in written form, namely in the form of a letter signed directly by the leader who is given directly to the person concerned or the orange planter. (3) The implementation of the cooperation carried out by BAZNAS is to submit a letter signed by the leader which is given to jorong or community leaders which will later be submitted to citrus planters, and to collaborate with mosque administrators to give 30% of the zakat proceeds given by the mosque's muzakki given to BAZNAS to be managed and distributed.

Abstract

Murabahah product KJKS BMT, to assist in empowering small community businesses to provide business capital through the distribution of financing funds. After the financing is disbursed and distributed, problems begin to arise in returning the financing, where many customers are unable to pay off their obligations. In terms of the procedure for implementing the empowerment of murabaha product financing, it has been distributed in accordance with the SOP, there has even been a rescue attempt, but it is still recorded as a failure, due to the many excuses and reasons from customers. According to the data, it is stated that the percentage of non-performing financing continues to grow. This survey uses a qualitative survey method. It is said in the results of the research on empowerment of financing distribution that has been carried out in accordance with the procedure, starting from the submission, analysis with the 5C stage, to the disbursement stage. However, in its implementation there are difficulties, due to the lack of understanding of prospective debtors about the procedures and lack of knowledge of debtors about their obligations to pay their debts. Other causes are the increase in fuel prices, a decrease in operating income, and the incitement from third parties not to have to pay back. Meanwhile, other efforts to save the non-performing financing, namely KJKS BMT have established and carried out several actions and procedures, such as telephone notification, sending the first invoice, direct collection by the manager, foreclosure of collateral. Another solution is to increase supervision over the distribution of financing funds, and add KJKS BMT operational staff who are competent in the field of financing collection.

Abstract

This article wants to examine the actualization of mosque-based empowerment activities as a transformation of the main function of the mosque into a center for community empowerment activities around the mosque. This is due to the lack of function of the mosque optimally by the local community because it is far from the resident environment. In the end, the management carried out a transformation by improving mosque institutions by optimizing the potential possessed by the community through mosque facilities in order to achieve a better life for the community around the mosque. The research method used is descriptive qualitative data collection through interview scripts, field notes, and other documentation. This study found that the forms of empowerment activities at the Nurul Hikmah mosque were actualized in the fields of religion, education and community service, economics, health (free treatment for the elderly), environmental conservation (toga gardens) and partnerships.

Abstract

As one of the Five Pillars of Islam, zakat is a religious duty for all Muslims. Zakat is a number of assets owned by Muslims that must be issued when it reaches the nisab. The distribution of zakat must be monitored. supervision of productive zakat by the management of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Padang City in the early days of activities is still often carried out. However, lately, there has been no supervision until now. The purpose of this research is to describe the supervision of productive zakat utilization for mutahiq in Pauh Limaumanis District, Padang City. This research is field research. The method used is a qualitative method. This type of research is descriptive. The findings of this study are that the Padang City Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) supervises the utilization of productive zakat for mustahiq in Pauh Limaumanis District, Padang City.

Abstract

The purpose of this research in to outline an Islamic Social Entrepreneurship (ISE) development model in a family business in Ponorogo’s Setono Chicken Satay Village as a study case. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology with a case study approach. The ISE development model means that this family business in the Setono Ponorogo chicken satay village has implemented crucial elements in the ISE that are related to four dimensions, including economic, religious, social, and cultural dimensions. These four dimensions are integrated in terms of meeting material needs for daily life, non-material needs, such as worship and personal social responsibility (PSR), communication and community among neighbours and businessmen and then maintaining ancestral cultural values that have been passed down to them. The originality of this study that the concern on filling the answer about business and Islamic teachings itself. Hence, every business has its own potential and originality, it will build a model of the business

Abstract

The background of this research is the result of the overcrowding that occurred in the capital city of DKI Jakarta which has caused land narrowing and a lack of awareness in protecting the environment in the people of Jakarta. A dirty environment causes a negative impact on public health, both from unhealthy air circulation, food quality that is not guaranteed for cleanliness. The Pengadegan area is one of the areas in Jakarta that has narrow land and people who lack awareness of protecting the environment. Urban farming is an effort to increase public knowledge in protecting the environment. Community empowerment through urban farming is usually carried out in urban areas, by optimizing areas as urban environmental management. The purpose of this study was to determine the sustainability strategy for the urban farming program in the Pengadegan area focused on Alley C. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used by conducting interviews, observation, documentation and literature studies. The results of the research show that there are 3 components of sustainability, namely: 1) Ecological sustainability, that is, looking at the state of the environment and awareness of the community in protecting the environment. 2) Economic sustainability, namely, seen from the results of the harvest can be useful in life. 3) Socio-cultural sustainability, namely, strategies that maintain aesthetic values and social interaction in society.

Abstract

Well-being Social life is a condition in which a person can meet his needs and can adapt well to his environment. In improving the welfare of the poor who are unable to get a quality education, difficulties in financing health, lack of social security and protection towards families and the lack of fulfilling the needs for food, clothing, and housing the government issued PKH to improve the welfare of the poor. Some of the problems in the implementation of PKH in the Kapalo Koto sub-district are in the Payakumbuh sub-district, North Payakumbuh sub-district, namely the implementation of PKH and the achievement of targets in improving the welfare of the poor. This research is a field research using a descriptive qualitative method. The data sources for this research were PKH participants, coordinators, and PKH assistants. Data collection through observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that; first, the implementation has been carried out very well, it can be seen from the form of assistance provided by the companion in changing the KPM mindset so that it is more productive and creative. Second, PKH target achievement can be seen from the level of achievement of the policy itself, its implementation, targets, and environment. In achieving the targets, not all of them are correct, this is due to the lack of in-depth monitoring of KPM and the presence of people closest to them to get PKH assistance.

Abstract

This article aims to examine research related to the assistance and obstacles experienced by brick makers during the work process and to determine the level of welfare of brick maker business families. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method through field research using data collection in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The author can conclude that the brick business activities do not have work assistance for their employees both from the beginning of work to pursue the job, this is because the people who choose to work as brick makers only rely on experience and self-taught lessons. Then related to the obstacles that are often encountered by employees is the weather that is not supportive during the drying process of bricks that have been molded. Regarding the level of family welfare, there are employees who are classified as families below the Prosperous III Plus level because one of them is that the condition of the house occupied does not have a good roof, floor and wall completeness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the activities of religious coaching, physical coaching, psychological/mental coaching, and socio-economic coaching in Limau Manis Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency in implementing the BKL program in Limau Manis village, as well as knowing the success and benefits of the BKL program coaching for families who have elderly. This study uses a qualitative research method that focuses on in-depth observations, so that the results of the study on the problems studied are more comprehensive. The results of the study show that religious development activities are carried out in the form of worship such as prayer and reading the Qur'an as well as awareness raising in the form of routine recitations carried out with the family. Physical development is carried out in the form of sports with other elderly people and also the family in order to get a fit body. Mental coaching is carried out in the form of raising awareness and training for families about the need for care for the elderly who need love. Families are nurtured with elderly care activities. Then social economic development, namely by practicing craft businesses by the elderly and their families, and the family must support financially whatever the elderly want because indeed the elderly like to be given financial support so they feel important in the midst of many people

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to empower teachers from the children of Indonesian Migrant Workers through smart board-based SEPER media at the Malaysian Guidance Studio. Studio teachers, feel the needget extraknowledge and skills in teaching so that the quality of education for children in Malaysia is not neglected. This training consists of several stages, namely (1) The Preparation Stage includes both internal and external coordination regarding the implementation of activities, manufacturer instrument such powerpoint, teacher attendance, documentation, time allocation (2) The implementation stage which includes the opening of the training program, presentation of material, question and answer discussion and closing. The methods used are lecture, demonstration, and question and answer methods. To measure the success of this community service activity, an evaluation is carried out by means of question and answer. This service activity is carried out directly and through Google Meeting. From the results of the question and answer session, it was found that teachers who participated in the training could understand the importance of using instructional media, especially in mathematics. Teachers who participated in the training understood and agreed that Smartboard-Based SEPER Media could increase students' enthusiasm for learning so that they could achieve learning objectives and improve student learning outcomes so that Malaysian SB students who were children of Indonesian Migrant Workers could improve their quality. This service went quite smoothly and efficiently even though there were a few network problems for teachers who took part in online training. Teachers at the Guidance Studio who participated in the training were very enthusiastic in welcoming this service, as evidenced by the many positive responses given. They also want such activities to be sustainable.
