Abstract

One of the roles of parents in the success of their children's education is to pay attention, especially attention to learning activities. The method used is quantitative research. quantitative research is research that is required to use a lot of numbers, starting from data collection, interpretation of the data, and the appearance of the results. This research design uses quantitative research with survey research methods. This research was conducted in February-July 2021. This research was conducted at SDN 097 / IV Jambi City, INHIL Riau Regency with 154 students consisting of 84 boys and 70 girls. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant effect of parental attention on the learning achievement of students in grades IV and V of SDN 097 / IV Jambi City. This result is evident from the value of tcount> ttabel 5.885> 2.021 (significant level 0.05) and also evident from the value of tcount> ttabel 5.885> 2.704 (significant level 0.01). The regression results also show a positive regression coefficient value, which means that there is a significant positive effect of parental attention on student learning achievement, which means that the better the attention of students' parents, the better their learning achievement will be. The percentage contribution of the influence of parental attention variables on student learning achievement is 42.96% while the rest is influenced by other factors. The results of the analysis that have been carried out also show that the correlation coefficient of the influence of parental attention on student learning achievement is 0.655. This value shows that the effect of parental attention on student learning achievement is classified in the strong category, because the correlation coefficient value is in the interval 0.5999 - 0.7999 with a correlation level classified as "Strong".

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PBL) as a pedagogical approach to enhancing students' understanding of philanthropy at the Institute of Technology National Yogyakarta (ITNY). The research aims to assess how PBL can deepen students' knowledge and practical engagement with philanthropic activities, fostering a more profound appreciation and awareness of social responsibility. Through the integration of real-world projects, students were given opportunities to collaborate, plan, and execute philanthropic initiatives, allowing them to experience firsthand the impact of their contributions.Society 5.0 comes with an orientation to address various social issues, including economic challenges. With the increasing number of students, there is a significant opportunity to respond to Society 5.0 by enhancing students' understanding of philanthropy. Therefore, the aim of this research is to demonstrate that a project-based learning approach is an effective method for deepening students' understanding of philanthropy at ITNY. The methodology involves case studies with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation, while supporting data is gathered from literature. The results indicate that the term philanthropy is not yet familiar among ITNY students; conversely, they are more acquainted with zakat, infaq, sedekah, and wakaf (ZISWAF), as these have become part of their behavioral beliefs. Through project-based learning implemented in Islamic education courses, students not only become familiar with philanthropy but also gain a deeper understanding. Ultimately, students are able to synergize their technical skills with their beliefs in engaging in philanthropy, as evidenced by the products they create.

Abstract

The religious character dimension plays an important role in developing the character of elementary school age children as a whole. Teacher leadership is one variable that can be used to develop the religious character of elementary school age children. This research aims to explore teacher leadership in Muhammadiyah elementary schools in developing students' religious character. Researchers use qualitative research with a case study approach with observation, interviews and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects consisted of school principals, teachers and students at SD Muhammadiyah Macanan Sleman. The collected data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model of interactive inductive data analysis techniques which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. To ensure the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation of sources and techniques. The research results show that teacher leadership in developing religious character at SD Muhammadiyah Macanan consists of three aspects, namely personal, team and organizational aspects. The personal aspect of teacher leadership is demonstrated by the ability to guide, mobilize, influence and communicate. The team aspect of teacher leadership is carried out by discussing and providing feedback, improving the quality of learning, training religious character, mentoring activities, and observing students' religious character. The organizational aspect of teacher leadership consists of the role of teachers in supporting school policies and programs, supporting the administrative leadership of the school principal, and efforts to maintain school sustainability. The findings of this research highlight the importance of the role of teacher leadership in developing students' religious character in Muhammadiyah elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and collect information about the actualization of Wasathiyah Islam based on the Risalah Islam Berkemajuan at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong. The study is motivated by several aspects, such as the diversity of students from various ethnicities, cultures, languages, and religions, along with the insufficient efforts to implement Wasathiyah Islam within the framework of Risalah Islam Berkemajuan at the university. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as participatory observation and document analysis through reputable journal sources. The findings indicate that the actualization of Wasathiyah Islam based on Risalah Islam Berkemajuan at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong is implemented through various religious activities, including group studies, communal prayers, recitations, and the integration of Islamic values and Pancasila in every course, as well as interfaith dialogue forums. This approach aligns with the progressive nature of the Risalah Islam Berkemajuan concept, illustrating the dynamic and progressive development of Wasathiyah Islamic values in addressing both internal and external challenges, significantly contributing to the enhancement of understanding Wasathiyah Islam within the framework of Risalah Islam Berkemajuan at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong.

Abstract

This research explores the implementation of summative evaluation in Islamic Religious Education (Akidah Akhlak) subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta, with a focus on implementing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Summative evaluation is considered very important in measuring the achievement of the Islamic Religious Education program. High-level critical and creative thinking skills (HOTS) are considered important in solving everyday problems, especially in the era of globalization. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with document content analysis, especially the final semester assessment questions for Aqidah Akhlak class VII made by the Regional Leadership of Muhammadiyah (PWM) DIY. The findings show that of the 12 final semester assessment questions, 6 questions (15%) meet the HOTS criteria, while 28 questions (70%) fall into the low-level thinking ability (LOTS) category. In addition, 6 items (15%) did not have a correct answer among the available options. These findings underscore the need to increase the integration of HOTS in designing summative evaluation questions for Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This research aims to describe and collect information about the implementation of summative evaluations and assess the results at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta. Effective summative evaluation is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of Islamic education at the secondary level.

Abstract

One of the objectives of this reaserch is to find out how Experiential Marketing is impelented at Pondok Pesantren. Judging from the growth and development experienced by Pondok Pesantren Syafa’aturrasul from 2018 to 2022, public interest continues to increase, so that the number of students at Pondok Pesantren Syafa’aturrasul currently stands at 1500 students. Seeing this potential, the researcher was interested in conducting research on experiential marketing conducted by Pondok Pesantren This research is a qualitative descriptive study using triangulation to test the validity of the data. The data collection techniques are interviews, observation, documentation and questionnaires. Based on data analysis, strategies for implementing experiential marketing, namely in terms of sense, feel, think, act and relate marketing. The result of data analysis show that Pondok Pesantren  implements experiential marketing well.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze online game addiction behavior in generation Z, who were increasingly involved in the use of digital technology. Online game addiction had caused various negative impacts, especially on mental, physical and social health, such as aggressiveness, decreased motivation to learn, social isolation and emotional disorders. This research used a literature review method by examining the results of previous research in the period 2015-2024. The research results showed that online game addiction affected individuals, both in urban and rural settings, with reduced youth participation in social and academic activities. However, besides negative impacts, online games also had several positive benefits if used wisely, such as improving technological skills, mastery of foreign languages, and the ability to focus and concentrate. This research suggested the need for appropriate intervention strategies to minimize the negative impacts while maximizing the positive benefits of online games among generation Z

Abstract

Recovery from substance addiction is a complex process that requires continuous physical and psychological support. Social support plays a crucial role in assisting individuals through the process of substance addiction recovery. This article presents a systematic review of the role of social support in substance addiction recovery by analyzing relevant studies from various academic sources. The findings indicate that social support, whether from family, friends, or community, significantly enhances individuals' motivation, resilience, and success in maintaining long-term recovery. Various forms of support, such as emotional, instrumental, and informational support, help individuals cope with the challenges of recovery. Additionally, participation in support groups and positive interpersonal relationships have been shown to accelerate the recovery process and prevent relapse. Therefore, social support is a key element not only in facilitating recovery but also in improving the quality of life for individuals dealing with substance addiction.

Abstract

The digital era has brought great changes in the world of Islamic religious education, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of educational activities with the presence of digital devices. However, another significant challenge is the threat of radicalism that can influence students' thinking and attitudes. Therefore, Islamic education must be able to equip students with a moderate and tolerant understanding of religion to prevent the spread of extreme views. This research aims to provide a clear picture of the challenges and opportunities facing Islamic education in the modern era, as well as present the characteristics of effective planning in facing the future. Thus, this research is expected to be a reference for stakeholders in designing Islamic education strategies that are adaptive and responsive to changing times, so as to produce a generation that is characterized, knowledgeable, and ready to face various global challenges. This research uses library research method to collect and analyze information from various written sources relevant to the topic discussed. The results show that Islamic education must be set on fundamental values such as tawhid, imitating the Prophet, and making the Qur'an and Sunnah the main sources of learning. In order to advance Islamic education, all parties-including educators, parents, communities and governments-are expected to play an active role. Active participation and collaboration between various stakeholders will ensure that Islamic education is not only relevant but also able to withstand future challenges. Based on the findings of this study, several policy recommendations can be proposed. By following these recommendations, it is hoped that Islamic education can continue to grow and make a positive contribution to society and the nation.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to analyze using literature studies on the strategies and policies of the Education Office in increasing public interest in entering public schools so that it is expected to have a positive impact so that the Education Office in the regions, especially areas that experience a decrease in the number of students and are constrained to increase students in the process of accepting new students. The method used in this study is the literature study method. The literature study method, also known as literature study, is a technique for collecting data and information by examining written sources such as scientific journals, reference books, encyclopedias, and other reliable sources either in written form or in digital formats that are relevant and related to the object being researched. Increasing public interest in attending public schools is a challenge that the Education Office must face as a government agency responsible for the implementation of education in the regions. Through a comprehensive strategy, including improving the quality of education, increasing access and equity in education, as well as improving the image and reputation of public schools, the Education Office can play a strategic role in encouraging community participation to take advantage of public education services. This effort will impact the quality of education and the development of superior and competitive human resources in the future. The Education Office's policy of increasing public interest in attending public schools is an important and strategic effort. Through various comprehensive policies, such as improving the quality of public schools, expanding access and capacity, as well as socialization and providing incentives, the Education Office can realize the goal of equitable distribution and improvement of the quality of education at all levels of society.
