Abstract

The Gorlov certical axid water turbine is suitable ti hardness the water flow in the creation of kinetic energy for the irigation dam, the turbine tasted in this study was ther Gorlov helical turbine blade with steering angles of 0o, 30o, 45o, and 60o turbine diameter (d) 0f 0,30 m. height (h) 0f 0,50 m and the NACA 0020 profile. the testing was conducted on the irigation dam of seluma Bengkulu. The water flow showed in the velocity (Uair) of 0,85 m/s and a round (n) of 110 rpm. The results were archieved by setting the blades in the steering torque coefficient (CT) of 0.309 are turbine efficiency (nt) of 28.5% and a power turbine (PT) of 13.699 watts.

Abstract

Based data from Bengkulu Environmental centre in 2019, it is known that the volume of waste for Bengkulu city residents per day reaches 373.07 m3/day. The amount of water that enters the Air Sebakul TPA causes leachate to collect quickly and then moves to dissolve into the ground. The absence of waste water treatment plant at this landfill causes contamination of surface water and ground water. Especially when it rains, the leachate will flow into the drainage channels of residents around the TPA which causes an unpleasant odor. The purpose of this research ia to determine the ned for WWTP (waste water treatment plant) at the Air Sebakul TPA Bengkulu by using geomembrane layer. The method of the study uses a survey method with forecasting using geometric formulas and mononobe while the data validation test uses a tracking signal approach.The results of this study show that the prediction of the Bengkulu city waste heap and leachate discharge for the next five years is 792.746,35 (m3/year) or 9.972 m3/day. Based on the current land capacity which has an area of + 30.000 m2, The air Sebakul TPA is declared capable of accommodating waste for the next years. While the planning for the next ten years with waste generation reaching 1.728.810, 26 (m3)/year is declared unable to accommodate waste.Therefore, a large-scale land expansion is needed from the existing land availability, as well as a larger IPAL storage capacity.

Abstract

Water turbine is a tool to convert kinetic energy into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy by a generator. In a power generation system, water turbine is one of the main equipment in addition to the generator. This turbine is suitable for use on the free flow of kinetic energy to extract stream flow and irrigation. Testing water turbines that turn helical load-change, testing is performed at the irrigation flow Kemumu Village North Bengkulu. The results on the influence of the load on the turbine wheel helical water, the results are the combined data graph style ΔF against helical turbine rotation Figure 4.8 chart graph style combined the data processing, graph 4.8 shows the experimental research for smaller burden lies on the table load 4.3, a turbine wheel is smaller than 4.4 research while at the load force (ΔF) below the turbine rotation looks bigger than research 4.4 greater than studies 4.3

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to analyze the distribution pipe network system water TAPS Tirta Dharma by using the program EPANET 2.0. Clean water services are managed by TAPS Tirta Dharma is already reaching out to most areas of the city, most of the customers comes from households. The number of clean water distribution of households in 19.209 KK of 4.606.370 m3 per year. Bengkulu City TAPS new could produce as much as 17.280.000 ltr/hr, so it still required an increase in production capacity by as much as 18.797.200 lt/hr, or 217,56 lt/sec. The problem examined is how the distribution pipe network system water TAPS Tirta Dharma by using the program EPANET 2.0? The methods used for this research consists of methods of data collection and data analysis methods. Data required primary data consist of i.e. the measurement of water pressure on metered houses and spread a detailed questionnaire. Secondary data are also needed to support research the research of map data network, water consumption data by the customer and other supporting data. Data obtained processed with hydraulics analysis either manually or in a simple statistical analysis and computation. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that water needs for housing in Surabaya already meet. Based on the results of the interviews can be noted that most of the people still using Shaved River Subdistrict shallow wells as a source of clean water.

Abstract

Abstract Electrical energy is the main energy needed for electrical equipment. Electrical energy is energy that is very important for humans because electrical energy is currently one of the basic human needs. Current power plants rely heavily on fossil materials, while availability is dwindling, and an alternative energy is needed to get electricity, namely the Pelton turbine. This study aims to obtain water power, namely the Pelton turbine and to obtain efficiency, power, TSR and torque by varying the number of blades. The result is that for 9 blades the value of Cp max = 0.71, CT max = 0.95, TSR max = 2.68, max efficiency = 71%, power P turbine max = 4.08 watts. Whereas for the 12 Blade Pelton turbine, the result is that Cp max = 0.79, CT max = 1.38, TSR max = 2.74, max efficiency = 79%, turbine P power = 4.69 watts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Every year at Campus II, Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin SH, number of students who enroll in this university keep increasing each year, it making more demand for new parking spot in this university. Because of that, parking characteristic analytic like field survey are needed to make sure the parking problem can be solve. The aim of this research is to learning the characteristic such as, parking capacity, parking accumulation, parking volume, parking cycle, parking index,and parking needed at this univesity. The results of this research are: a) maximum accumulation four wheel vehicle are 9 vehicles, and maximum accumulations for two wheel vehicle are 72 vehicles; b) university blabla has 20 square parking capacity for four wheels vehicle, and two vehicle, and 53 square for two wheels vehicle.; c) 19% Index parking for cars and 115% for bikes which mean available car parking spot can hold the vehicle, but for bike parking spots cannot handle more at the peak hour. d) Average parking volume is 22 cars and 234 bikes in one day, e) Parking turn over for cars is 2,2 cars/hour and 29,09 bikes/hour; f) average parking duration for two kinds of vehicle can be catagorized as mid term parking.

Abstract

One of the potential new and renewable energy sources is wind energy. Wind energy is a clean energy source with no emissions. The government is quite concerned about reducing the use of fossil energy sources and switching to renewable energy that is more friendly to the environment and has unlimited sources. for example in 2025 the government targets the installed capacity for wind energy to be 0.97 GW. For that we need a continuous study of the potential utilization of wind energy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the number of blades on the efficiency of the vertical axis savonius turbine. The test was carried out with 3 variations in the number of blades, namely with 3 blades, 6 blades and 12 blades at a wind speed of 3.5 m / s. To drive the turbine, a fan is installed at a distance of 500 mm from the turbine. The results showed that the highest efficiency was owned by the turbine with the number of blades 12 at a wind speed of 3.5 m / s, namely 23% with a generator output power of 1.94 watts, 398.8 rpm rotation, 0.046 torque. The smallest efficiency was obtained in the 3 blade test, which was 4.2%. Then the research can be concluded that the number of blades greatly affects the value of efficiency, it can be seen that the number of blades 12 get a greater efficiency value than the number of blades 3 and 6.

Abstract

Coconut shell is an excellent material to be made of activated carbon, this is because the carbon which has a high absorption capacity , absorption activated charcoal can be described with a number of surface area which ranges from 1000 to 2000 m2 per gram . Along with the development of the industry , the needs of active charcoal also increased. Results can be obtained in the yield of coconut shell carbonization temperature at a temperature of 500 ° C , 600 ° C , 700 ° C , 800 ° C and 900 ° C. The difference in raw materials used and how activation can cause the nature and quality of activated charcoal differently.

Abstract

Abstract This abstract was conducted because of the lack of attention and maintenance carried out on the AC / DC supply, which is actually very important at the substation. How to make an AC/ DC supply system at Pekalongan substation fast work with high reliability and what steps are taken to reduce the impact of disruption or damage to equipment at the Pekalongan substation especially AC/ DC supply for load control. The research objective was to 1) analyze the AC/ DCs supply system at the Pekalongan substation, 2) Know the intermediate error value the measurement results on the Supply AC/ DC system are measured by the calculated value. The method used in this analysis consists of several stages, namely: 1) planning, 2) start, 3) Action, 4) Observation, 5) Reflection, 6) documentation, and 6) Finish. The analysis of the AC/ DC supply system for load control at the Pekalongan substation was carried out in different periods of time, namely 3 consecutive months from February 2019 to April 2019 so that the error results obtained were completely accurate. The analysis carried out can be said to be successful and the value shown by the analyzed equipment this is the actual used value because the results of measurements and calculations carried out from February 2019 to April 2019 all have an error value below 1%.

Abstract

Abstract Air pollution is a major threat to humans, which results from motor vehicle fumes. Each combustion process will produce dangerous exhaust gas products that have a negative impact on human health and the environment, if the composition is above the threshold. One of the exhaust gas content is CO gas (Carbon Mono Oxide). Two methods can be used to reduce motor vehicle emissions, namely: First, by increasing knowledge about the selection of fuel (HC), the second provides further treatment of vehicles by periodic maintenance of the motor vehicle.
