Abstract

Abstract Air passenger demand in Indonesia has continued to increase since the last decade. According to IATA Indonesia will become the world’s six largest airline travel market by 2034. One of the impacts that is currently felt is the high flight delay. The efforts that have been carried out so far in anticipation of increasing the number of passengers and airport overcapacity are through the development of existing airports; both terminal expansion and runway upgrades. In fact, physical development can not be carried out continuous airport development alternative through integrated flight routes.

Abstract

Use boiler feed water (Boiler Feed Water) can be derived from water wells, water taps and water surface, tocondition the water according to standard either pH, Turbidity, silica and hardriess levels, as boiler feed the needfor early treatment (pretreatment) by adding substances certain chemicals (inhibitors) in order to procesperkerakan (scale) and corrosion in boilers can be protected and further the process of heat transfer (heat transfer)Can run better swith stream producton will be more qualified.

Abstract

Heat treatment process on low carbon steel is very useful for getting qualified low carbon steel that has physical properties such as electrical conductivity, microstructure, density and better mechanical properties especially in term of hardness, elasticity of steel caracter.This process is carried out at 800 °C for 30 minutes, then cooled with sea water as cooling medium. The result showed that the hardness value of speciment without treatment is 38,571 HRC, whereas hardness value of speciment with treatment is 61 HRC. This research can be concluded that quenching process can increase the hardness value

Abstract

Abstract Rubber press machine is a tool used to press rubberfrom lumps into sheets or sheets that have been determined in thickness. This machine works with three pairs of rolls and after calculating the planning of the rubber press machine, the roll size is obtained: length 500 mm, Roll Diameter 76.2 mm, with 3 inch pipe iron material. Rubber press machine power 0.09628 kW, speed 0.204653 m/second. Motor power 0.17035 kW. Shaft, Diameter of shaft 20 mm, Material of shaft carbon steel, Moment of torsion of shaft 2736,7635 kg/mm2, Shaft shear stress 361,74468 kg/mm2. Frame, Frame length 150 cm, Frame height 110 cm, frame width 60 cm. Pegs, 7 mm width of the key, 30 mm of key length, 7 mm of key thickness, 4 mm of keyway depth on the shaft, Shear stress on the key, 1,303 kg/mm2, Allowable shear stress on the post 3,055 kg/mm2. Pully, pulley ratio A : 4, pulley belt speed 3.88 m/s, pully diameter 203.2 mm, pully rotation 365 rpm, shaft axis distance 320 mm. Abstract

The problem that is often found in river estuaries is the silting/closing of the river mouth by sand sediments from the sea. Jetty as one of the alternative river estuary security buildings can anticipate the sedimentation of material grains at the mouth of the river caused by the influence of sea waves, tidal movement and sediment transport in the river channel. The type of jetty which is in accordance with the characteristics of the air Bengkulu river estuary is short type of jetty with construction from a pile of rocks and tetrapods. The tetrapods weight used ranges from 300 -710 kg at the end and jetty arm the weight of the rubble stone is used between 350 – 550 kg in two layers. The structure of the toe protector ( toe protection) on the jetty is made of piles of rock weighing 70 – 100 kg. the elevation of the jetty peak si planned to be as high as 5.63 m with a peak width of 2.69 kg. Thevalue of ? in location is 2.38 kg/cm2 ? tpermit for sand which 2.5 – 3.0 kg/cm2, so that footing subsoil is able to whitstand the load of the jetty on top of it.

Abstract

The Darrieus turbine consists of one or more long darrieus blades that traces imaginary cylindrical forces such as screw threads. Darrieus aerfoil blades give a reaction force that can attract it faster than the fluid flow itself. This test is carried out irrgation streams Sengkuang Village South Seluma District where the flow rate of water 0,9 m/s. The results obtained in this study were Darrieus Turbine without guide angle at water flow velocity (v) 0,9 m/s, torque coefficient (CT) = 78.80, Turbine efficiency (nt) = 46.847 %, rotation (n) the turbine power (PT)= 43.565 watt. Darrieus turbine uses a steering angle 300 at the velocity of water velocity (v)= 0,9 m/s. the torque coefficient (CT)= 94.32. turbine efficiency (nt)= 27.575%, round 95 Rpm and turbine power (PT)= 43.565 watt. Darrieus Turbine uses 450 directed angle at water flow velocty (v)= 0.9 m/s, torque coefficient (CT)= 95.52, turbine efficiency (nt) = 80.583%, round (n) = 105 Rpm and Turbine Power (PT)=43.565 Watt.

Abstract

ABSTRACT One of the most important material that has great impat to a structure or onstrution in civil engineering job is soil, either that job is building or road pavement construction. One of problem which may happen faced by consultant or contractor ( especially for road pavement construction ) is take care of soil and other bad component to make sure those components can be used as ingredient for that pavement construction. Thing can be done to fix the mechanic property in this research is by using chemical way like adding oil palm ‘s stem ashes with 0%, 6,5%, 7%, 8%, and 8,5 % variation from clay. Biggest CBR value happen when 0,2 penetration with CBR value was 18,078% by using 8,5 % oil palm’s stem addictive. This value has increased by 2,288 % from the CBR value from the original soil which is 15,790%. With adding 6,5% oil palm’s stem ashes the CBR value increased 0,703%, when adding 7% increased by 0,273% and also when adding 8% increased 1,168%. This CBR value qualified Bina Marga 2018 general specification ( Third revision ) where CBR value > 6%.

Abstract

In planning for a strong and sturdy building is not enough to calculate in terms of loading and concreting, but there are aspects that must be considered also is the problem of ground work on which to base the establishment of a building. Soil investigation is one part of the ground work, so that by knowing the state of the soil and the soil stiffness properties, the possibility of the symptoms caused by nature such as earthquakes, floods and others that can be resolved. To that end, soil investigation needs to be done as an initial activity of the construction process is done. Issues to be examined is to know the properties of natural land which can be used as baseline data BI housing development on the road Ylang Bengkulu. So it can determine whether the land can be used for the construction of residential land. The method used in this study consisted of pengumpuan methods of data and data processing method. Methods of data analysis will be carried out in broad outline includes soil sampling, testing soil moisture content, soil density, the limits of Atterberg, inspection and testing sieving soil density (proctor). From the research data with calculation and discussion, the results obtained in laboratory tests that the water content of the soil tested had an average moisture content of = 17.752%, specific gravity average sebesar2,64 gr / cm3, In testing the limits of Consistency Land (Atterberg Limit), the test results show the value limits Liquid (LL) = 50.537%, limit Plastis (PL) = 20.895%, and the value of Plasticity Index (IP) = 29.642% On examination sieving (gradation), the test results sieving shows the value of granules through sieve no. 200 has a percentage of 93.1%> 50%, then the land including fine-grained soil (silt / clay). In the testing phase soil density (Proctor), the test results and the graph shows the value of optimum moisture content (OMC) amounted to 22.17%, and the maximum dry density (MDD) of 1.554 g / cm3. From the results of laboratory testing above, explained that the type of soil on BI Housing Project in Jalan Kenanga Bengkulu, a type of clay soil. And based on the natural properties of the land, that the land in the area bias utilized for establishing residential buildings.

Abstract

The research about vibration is used to find the type of vacuum pump damage 161V21 Plant Fatty Acid. This research was conducted in company that is process CPKO (Crude Palm Kernel Oil) into fatty alcohol. This company use rotating equipment in production process. When the process happen, engines fails due to excessive vibration. To make engine work properly, maintenance is done by analysis vibration to give information about engine damage type. Vibration analysis is done based on characteristic engine damage type that is see the domain frequency which is produced by fluke so that it can identify the damage type. Object in this research are vacuum pump 161V21 and vibration measure that is used in four location of bearing. The result of indication vibration damage by vacuum pump 161V21 are bearing first angular misalignment, second bearing that is indicate misalignment and coupling problem, Third bearing not yet identification the damaged, fourth bearing indicate mechanical looseness, misalignment and coupling problem. Actual problem are damage in the rubber and pump shaft which is corrosion happen because of rubbing against with inner bearing.
