Abstract

This research investigates the impact of leverage, profitability, and earnings persistence on accounting conservatism within transportation and logistics firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) over the period from 2019 to 2023. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the study analyzes secondary data from 25 companies selected through purposive sampling. The data analysis involved descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination, employing SPSS version 25 for computations.The results from the t-tests reveal that the leverage variable has a significance level of 0.000, which is below the threshold of 0.05. Similarly, profitability also presents a significance level of 0.000, and earnings persistence mirrors this with a significance level of 0.000 as well. Consequently, the findings indicate that all three factors leverage, profitability, and earnings persistence positively and significantly influence accounting conservatism, both individually and collectively. This study offers empirical insights into the determinants affecting accounting conservatism in Indonesian transportation and logistics companies, providing valuable information for investors, management, and other stakeholders involved in financial decision-making.

Abstract

The research objective is to find out what economic sectors can be further developed to support economic growth in West Nusa Tenggara Province. This study uses shift-share analysis. This study collected data from GRDP data at constant prices derived from the publication of the Central Bureau of Statistics of West Nusa Tenggara Province and National Indonesia in 2017-2023. The results of the shift-share analysis show that the economic sectors that have rapid and progressive growth and have the potential to improve the regional competitiveness of West Nusa Tenggara Province are the electricity and gas procurement sector and the financial and insurance services sector.

Abstract

In the world of work and organizations, performance is very important in an organization because it determines the success in achieving the goals and vision of an organization. This study aims to determine the extent to which the role of cadre performance on increasing interest in visiting posyandu. The resulting output is community satisfaction with the services provided. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative to explore thoroughly and in depth about the performance of cadres in the Mekarlaksana Village posyandu. Data were collected by means of interviews, observation and documentation to harmonize the facts in the field with existing data. And analyzed by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the performance of cadres had an impact on community interest in visiting. Most people feel comfortable with the services provided so that visits to the posyandu increase and stabilize. This finding indicates that performance affects people's desire to visit. Thus, this study contributes to the management of social organizations and can be used as a reference for further research.

Abstract

Efforts to address stunting have been carried out by the Indonesian government from the central to the regional levels, but the results have not met the targets set by the SDGs and national targets. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause stunting and to determine which factors are the most dominant in influencing stunting in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach by applying the panel data multiple linear regression method. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from BPS in the form of stunting prevalence data, Human Development Index, economic growth, livable housing, health facilities and early marriage from 2015 - 2023 in 34 provinces in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the HDI variable has a significant negative effect on the prevalence of stunting. The economic growth variable does not affect the prevalence of stunting. The livable housing variable does not affect the prevalence of stunting. The health facility variable has a significant negative effect on the prevalence of stunting. The early marriage variable has a significant positive effect on the prevalence of stunting. The findings of this study imply that 1) the government needs to take action to improve the quality of human resources through the dimensions of health, education and decent living standards 2) that economic growth does not affect the decline in stunting because there are other factors that have a greater influence on the prevalence of stunting 3) The government in collaboration with the community and institutions evaluates and controls budget provision activities for decent housing so that they are appropriate and on target 4) The government in collaboration with the community and institutions really needs to increase the availability of health facilities and health workers starting from integrated health posts, health centers to hospitals 5) the government really needs to increase socialization to the community through schools to provide education to adolescents about the many risks that arise in early marriage that can cause stunting in toddlers.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is very much needed by a company as a factor that can encourage and influence work enthusiasm. Job satisfaction is basically an individual thing that has different levels of satisfaction according to their desires, both in terms of the Work Environment, Work Discipline, and Compensation. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of the Work Environment and Compensation on Job Satisfaction at Bank DBS Marketing Division. The method in this study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive and verification approach. The sample used in this study was 60 respondents. Which is to answer the formulation of the problem in this study using the SPSS 22 program. The results of the study show that: (1) Job satisfaction of Bank DBS Marketing Division employees has a category of Less Satisfied. (2) The physical and non-physical work environment at Bank DBS Marketing Division is in the satisfied category for Employees. (3) Compensation has a category of less satisfied. (4) Work Environment and Compensation have an influence on Job Satisfaction of 48.1%. In addition, the rest is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of work discipline and motivation on employee performance at 5 Vocational High School Bandung. Work discipline and motivation are important factors in improving employee performance, especially in an educational environment. This research employs a quantitative method. The population in this study is teaching staff at 5 Vocational High School Bandung. The sample used is 98 people. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling with a census or total sampling type. The data source used in this study is primary data with research instrument used in form of a questionnaire via g-form which is distributed directly to respondents. The scale is the Likert scale. Analysis of data used is multiple linear analysis using SPSS software version 26. The results of the study indicate that work discipline has a positive effect on employee performance at 5 Vocational High School Bandung, and motivation also has a positive effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, work discipline and motivation positively influence employee performance at 5 Vocational High School Bandung. Work discipline and motivation contribute 57.4% to employee performance at 5 Vocational High School Bandung, while the remaining 42.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment of employees of PT IB Sayati Bandung. The research method used is quantitative method. The population in this study were all employees of the production department of PT IB as many as 85 employees. The sampling technique used the total sampling method. Data collection through questionnaire distribution, while data analysis techniques using simple linear regression. The results of this study were obtained with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 15.1% of the job satisfaction variable on organizational commitment at PT. IB while the remaining 84.9% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study. It should be concluded that company leaders need to change the strategy of reducing working days because the results of the questionnaire with low scores are on the statement of job satisfaction with the wages received to retain employees so that employees still have a high level of organizational commitment.

Abstract

The fluctuating unemployment trend in Bandung Regency represents a key issue that requires targeted intervention from the local Manpower Office. This research aims to explore the regional government’s strategic efforts to reduce unemployment, evaluate the impact of workforce training programs, and examine the role of inter-sectoral cooperation. Adopting a descriptive qualitative method, data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings highlight various strategies such as industry-aligned skills training, partnerships with the private sector, and the use of digital platforms to facilitate job placement. In times of economic downturn, the office implements labor-intensive work schemes and entrepreneurship training as responsive measures. Main challenges include mismatches in skills, limited access to employment information, and broader economic influences. While the strategies have shown positive outcomes in expanding job opportunities, further improvements are needed in institutional coordination and long-term program sustainability. The study underscores that collaborative and adaptive strategies are vital in reducing unemployment and boosting the competitiveness of the regional workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the decision of prospective new students not to continue the registration process at a private university in Bandung. This phenomenon often occurs in various higher education institutions and has an impact on student admission and retention strategies. Potential factors influencing the decision include tuition fees, university reputation, study program quality, administrative services, as well as external factors such as scholarship offers and career opportunities. This research uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire survey method distributed through Google Forms. The research sample consisted of prospective students who had registered but did not proceed to the final registration stage. Data was collected using a questionnaire that measured various variables such as tuition fees, perceived program quality, campus facilities, and external influences, with a five-point Likert scale to determine the respondents' level of agreement with each factor. The results of this study found that inadequate accreditation was the main reason influencing the decision of prospective private university students not to continue their registration, with 49.8% of respondents citing this factor as the most influential. Other significant factors include lack of follow-up from the university (32.5%), poor campus location (27.6%), and tuition fees that are considered too high (23.2%). Meanwhile, the factor of unsatisfactory service has the lowest influence, only 7.4%. This finding indicates that aspects of accreditation, facilities, communication, and cost are important elements in prospective students' decision making to continue registration at a private university.

Abstract

This study is entitled the influence of self-efficacy and work discipline on the performance of personnel of the East Java Regional Police Intelkam Unit mediated by Job Promotion. This type of research is explanatory research, the approach used is a quantitative approach, the research sample is 80 respondents. The analysis tool uses Smart PLS (Partial Least Square). Research objectives: 1) To describe self-efficacy, work discipline, job promotion, and personnel performance at the East Java Regional Police Intelkam Unit. 2) To test and analyze whether there is a significant influence of self-efficacy on personnel performance at the East Java Regional Police Intelkam Unit. 3) To test and analyze whether there is a significant influence of work discipline on personnel performance at the East Java Regional Police Intelkam Unit. 4) To test and analyze whether there is a significant influence of job promotion on personnel performance at the East Java Regional Police Intelkam Unit. 5) To test and analyze whether there is a significant influence of self-efficacy on job promotion at the East Java Regional Police Intelkam Unit. 6) To test and analyze whether there is a significant influence of work discipline on job promotion at the Sat Intelkam Polda Jatim. 7) To test and analyze whether there is a significant indirect influence of self efficacy on personnel performance at the Sat Intelkam Polda Jatim with job promotion as an intervening variable. 8) To test and analyze whether there is a significant indirect influence of work discipline on personnel performance at the Sat Intelkam Polda Jatim with job promotion as an intervening variable. The research results show that: 1) self efficacy has a positive insignificant effect on personnel performance. 2) Work discipline has a positive significant effect on personnel performance. 3) job promotion has a positive significant effect on personnel performance. 4) self efficacy has a positive insignificant effect on job promotion. 5) work discipline has a positive significant effect on job promotion. 6) self efficacy on personnel performance through job promotion has a significant positive effect. 7) work discipline on personnel performance through job promotion has a significant positive effect.
