Abstract

Corporate culture is very important to determine employee engagement, especially in educational institutions, where management and employees work together to achieve common goals. The influence of clan-type organizational culture on employee engagement in educational institutions is the subject of this study. It is considered relevant to create a work environment that supports active participation of clan culture employees, which is characterized by the values ​​of family, cooperation, and caring. This quantitative study used a survey as a sample. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to 75 employees of participating educational institutions. The relationship between variables was examined using simple linear regression data analysis methods. The study showed that clan organizations increase employee participation. Employee engagement is higher in workplaces where there is a strong sense of trust, open communication, and teamwork. This shows how important it is for educational institutions to adopt clan principles to increase employee participation. Ultimately, this will help the organization achieve its goals.

Abstract

The present study has been conducted for the purpose of analysing the magnitude of changes in Gross Regional Domestic Revenue (GRDP) in South Sulawesi based on the components of National Share (NS), Industry Mix (IM) and Regional Shift (RS) by economic sectors, and determining the leading sectors of South Sulawesi Province. The methodology employed in this study involves the implementation of a shift share analysis, encompassing three distinct approaches: the classic approach, the Esteban-Marquillas approach, and the Arcelus modification. The analysis draws upon data pertaining to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and South Sulawesi Province's GRDP for the period 2021-2023.The findings of the study indicate that South Sulawesi's economic growth is predominantly influenced by national economic developments. Despite its status as the leading sector, the agricultural sector has a net shift of IDR 1,868.50 billion. This is included in the slow growth category. The sector of the economy responsible for the highest net shift in output was that of accommodation and food services. In order to maximise economic growth, it is recommended that local governments focus on the development of economic sectors that are classified as competitive and fast-growing. Such sectors include corporate services and the provision of accommodation and food services, which have comparative and competitive advantages and are able to absorb a significant amount of labour.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of role conflict and role ambiguity on auditor performance in Pekanbaru City. This study uses a quantitative causality approach to answer the formulation of problems and research hypotheses. The population in this study were all auditors who worked at KAP Pekanbaru city and were registered in the Directory of Public Accounting Firms issued by the Indonesian Institute of Accountants. The sampling technique chosen was purposive sampling. The number of samples obtained was 70 auditors. The type of data used is primary data and data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The novelty in this study is that there are still few studies that focus on the performance of KAP auditors in Pekanbaru City and several previous studies also show a research gap. The results obtained are role conflict and role ambiguity have a significant effect on auditor performance.

Abstract

One of the goals of an organization depends on the good or bad performance of its employees. Therefore, an organization or institution must be able to pay attention to its employees, direct, and motivate them to improve employee performance. Employees who have good performance will be able to carry out work according to the tasks assigned to them, understand the relationship between their work and the tasks of others, understand the institution's targets, and be able to understand and resolve obstacles faced in carrying out their duties. This study aims to examine the influence of compensation on employee performance; examine whether compensation has an effect on employee job satisfaction; examine job satisfaction as a moderating influence between compensation and employee performance. The population in this study were all permanent employees of the East Java Provincial Education and Training Agency, totaling 161 people. Based on calculations using the Slovin formula, a sample of 115 people was taken. The analysis technique used moderated regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it was proven that compensation had an effect on employee job satisfaction at the East Java Provincial Education and Training Agency. Job satisfaction moderates the influence between compensation and employee performance at the East Java Provincial Education and Training Agency.

Abstract

The current era is vast, especially in the field of business and marketing. Activities carried out with new and sophisticated technology, various information is obtained to facilitate online purchases. This study aims to determine the influence of social media, consumer trust, and price perception on online shopping decisions in grade XI students of SMK Kesehatan Surabaya. The sample used in this study was 110 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method. The method used in this study is quantitative. The data analysis technique used to test the deep hypothesis is multiple linear regression analysis. Test results (F) show that social media, consumer trust, and price perception simultaneously have a significant influence on online shopping decisions. The results of the (t) test showed that social media and price perception had a partial significant effect smaller than 0.05, while consumer confidence did not have a significant effect on online shopping decisions because the significance value was greater than 0.05. The results of hypothesis testing on the price perception variable (X3) have the most dominant influence on online shopping decisions (Y).

Abstract

The full costing method is an approach in the calculation of the cost of production that includes all elements of production costs, namely the cost of raw materials, direct labor, and factory overhead costs, both variable and fixed. This research was conducted on the Barokah Fried Onion Home Industry, which produces red fried onions and white fried onions, with the aim of analyzing the comparison of the calculation of the cost of production between the simple method and the full costing method. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data used consisted of primary and secondary data, which were obtained through data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that there is a difference in the calculation of the cost of production between the simple method and the full costing method. In red fried onion products, the simple method produces a cost of production calculation of Rp2,022,000, while the full costing method produces Rp2,045,249. Meanwhile, in white fried onion products, the simple method produces a cost of production of Rp833,500, while the full costing method produces Rp846,452. The difference in calculation is due to the absence of several components of factory overhead costs in the simple method. such as equipment depreciation costs, transportation costs, and equipment maintenance costs. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the full costing method provides more accurate results in calculating the cost of production compared to the simple method. Thus, the full costing method can be used as a more appropriate approach in determining the cost of production effectively and comprehensively.

Abstract

Performance appraisal is a very important factor for measuring and evaluating employee performance in a company.. This study aims to analyze the importance of the performance appraisal system on the work motivation of employees of the Radiotherapy Installation at RSHS Bandung. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, which is naturalistic through interviews with five informants, namely the Secretary, Radiographer, Nurse, and Medical Records Staff. The results of this study indicate that the performance appraisal system implemented in the Radiotherapy Installation uses the e-Kinerja application of Permenpan No.6 of 2022. The performance appraisal system helps the employee performance evaluation process objectively and in a structured manner, based on individual performance indicators set by the Head of the Radiotherapy Installation. It is also known that employee work motivation is influenced by psychological needs, a positive work environment, training and development, compensation, support and appreciation from superiors. A transparent performance appraisal system has a positive influence on employee work motivation supported by the percentage level of successful performance achievement in the first quarter of 2022 which started from 91.6% and increased to 93% in the fourth quarter of 2022. This figure of 93% is stable until the fourth quarter of 2023. This study concludes that a well-implemented performance appraisal system can increase employee motivation and productivity. Suggestions for radiotherapy installation management are to increase supervision of employee time discipline, such as imposing strict sanctions on employees who violate working hours.

Abstract

Task and responsibility overlap, salary and wage calculation errors, and an unintegrated system are issues in the payroll process at the company. The ineffectiveness of the payroll and remuneration accounting information system can affect employee welfare and the development of a company. This research aims to understand the payroll and wage accounting information system at My Bunda Collection and to determine whether the implemented system effectively supports internal control efforts. The qualitative method was carried out using primary data sources obtained through direct interviews, as well as secondary data collected from relevant records or supporting documents. The research results indicate that the implementation of the payroll and wage accounting information system at My Bunda Collection is quite good, although it does not yet align with the theory of payroll and wage accounting information systems. This is seen from the lack of records and documents supporting the payroll and wage processes, as well as the occurrence of task and responsibility overlaps. However, the system in place is quite effective in supporting the company's internal control efforts, as evidenced by the authorization of employee pay slips by the company's CEO to verify the accuracy of the salaries and wages to be disbursed by the company.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the liquidity ratio, solvency ratio, and profitability ratio can assess the financial performance of the BMT ItQan Sharia Cooperative for the 2019 – 2023 period. The results of the financial ratio analysis were then compared with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia Number 07 / Per / Dep.6 / IV / 2016, Regulation of the Deputy for Supervision regarding the Guidelines for Assessing the Health of Savings and Loans Cooperatives and Sharia Financing, as well as Savings and Loans Units and Sharia Financing. Trend analysis was then used to determine whether the trend is increasing or decreasing. This research is descriptive qualitative, and was conducted by collecting and evaluating data before presenting the findings as numerical data. Quantitative data analysis, secondary data, interviews, and documentation procedures are all used in data analysis. Based on the research findings, the financial performance of the ItQan Sharia Cooperative BMT from 2019 to 2023 consists of: The financial performance of the ItQan Sharia Cooperative from 2019 to 2023 consists of: 1) The liquidity ratio measured by the Cash ratio received a value of 21% with a fairly liquid performance with an upward trend trend. 2) The solvency ratio measured by the debt to assets ratio received a score of 79.2% with poor performance with an upward trend, and the debt to equity ratio received a score of 508% with poor performance due to an upward trend. 3) The profitability ratio measured by return on assets gets a value of 1% with low performance with a downtrend trend, return on equity gets a value of 5% with low performance with a downtrend trend.

Abstract

The role of the Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) is increasingly important in human resource (HR) management strategies in the modern era. This article discusses how CHO can appropriately contribute to improving employee well-being, productivity, and loyalty based on a review of the existing literature. CHO is tasked with creating a positive work environment by designing comprehensive well-being programs, such as flexibility at work, psychological support, and the development of an organizational culture that focuses on employee happiness. The research method used is a type of putaka with research data sources from books, journals, reports, news and other things related to the title. The results of the study show that the existence of CHO can significantly reduce work stress, increase employee engagement, and reduce turnover rates. However, there are still challenges in implementing the role of CHO, especially in the non-technology sector and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This is evidenced by companies that implement CHO roles tend to experience a decrease in turnover rates, which shows that investing in employee well-being is not only beneficial to individuals, but also to the organization as a whole. For example, Coca-Cola, TikTok, EY, Deloitte, SAP. Therefore, the results of this article recommend the need for further research to measure the effectiveness of CHO in various industrial sectors as well as develop more precise measurement standards.
