Abstract

The management of class III state houses begins with the transfer of status of class II state houses to class III state houses, transfer of rights, lease purchase agreements, and transfer of property rights. This study aims to determine the process of managing class III state houses and the problem of misuse of state property in the form of class III state houses. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and documentation. The results showed that a lack of internal control could cause the problem of abuse of country houses. The solution to these problems is following up with applicable regulations and strengthening the internal control system. This research implies that it becomes the basis for compiling clear and detailed guidelines or guidelines on the management of class III state houses. These guidelines will assist the authorities in establishing rules that are more transparent, accountable, and efficient in managing these state houses.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the efficiency value of the Ministry of PUPR's infrastructure development in each province in the 2020-2022 period and examine the influence of the determinants of efficiency through fiscal capacity, population, and area. The data used in this study uses secondary data, namely expenditure realization data in the PUPR Ministry's financial reports, Minister of Finance Regulations regarding regional fiscal capacity, and data on population and area according to the Central Bureau of Statistics. This study uses two stages of analysis; the first is to measure technical efficiency with the DEA approach through the assumption of input-oriented VRS (Variable Return to Scale), and the second is to analyze the determinants using the Tobit regression model. The study results show that the average infrastructure development efficiency score decreased over 2020-2022. Other results find that fiscal capacity has an effect on increasing the efficiency of infrastructure development, and population size and area have an effect on reducing the efficiency of infrastructure development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between government policy in the form of the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program (BSPS/Self-Help Homes Program) and the reduction of stunting in Indonesia. By utilizing data on the prevalence of stunting in districts/cities in Indonesia in 2016-2021 and data on districts/cities receiving self-help housing assistance in 2016-2021, this study uses the panel data regression method to show the correlation between the BSPS program and the reduction in stunting at the district/city level in Indonesia. Based on the regression results, it can be concluded that the 2016-2021 BSPS Program as an independent variable shows a negative and significant relationship with a decrease in stunting in 514 districts/cities in Indonesia. The percentage of women giving birth in health facilities, proper sanitation, poor population, the ability to read and write in women aged > 15 years, and district/city GDP per capita significantly reduces stunting in Indonesia. On the other hand, toddlers who receive complete basic immunization and state spending on health do not affect stunting reduction. This study recommends expanding the BSPS Program to more districts/cities in Indonesia, increasing the level of knowledge and awareness of mothers about stunting, improving proper sanitation, evaluating health spending strategies at the district/city level, and considering regional socioeconomic factors in policy planning. Moreover, the allocation of resources contributes to reducing stunting.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the distribution and extent of leaky swamps based on hydrotopographic characteristics. The method used is an empirical approach using the Thornthwaite Mather water balance. The research data comes from both primary and secondary sources. Primary data collection involves field observations, measurements, and mapping, which provide data on soil texture, vegetation, fauna, topography, and aerial photos. Secondary data is obtained from institutions/agencies. Soil texture data is obtained through purposive random sampling. The extent of the leaky swamp is +104,252 m2, and it can hold a maximum volume of +116,028.25 m3 of water. The research results indicate the presence of two types of leaky swamps based on their hydrotopographic characteristics: shallow swamps and deep swamps. Shallow swamps are located on the riverbanks with higher elevations, covering an area of 30,462.54 m2. Meanwhile, deep swamps are situated in the center of the swamp with lower elevations in the form of basins, covering an area of 37,733.08 m2. This research has implications for a better understanding of Lebak swamps in the Grogol District. The findings can be used to develop more effective water resource management strategies. Furthermore, this research can serve as a foundation for further in-depth studies, such as ecological studies of swamps, research on water quality, or analyses of the impact of climate change on hydrotopography and the distribution of Lebak swamps.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted nations worldwide, requiring a coordinated international response beyond diplomatic boundaries. The pandemic has led to significant changes, such as reduced travel and eco-friendly transportation, increased government intervention, and radical policy shifts like universal basic income and Green New Deal initiatives. The pandemic has also highlighted the importance of evidence-based decision-making and the risks of disregarding scientific expertise, influencing populist and authoritarian movements. The pandemic presents an opportunity for transformative policy changes, with behavioral changes such as reduced travel and eco-friendly infrastructure promoting sustainable mobility and climate change. However, the crisis also challenges the international order, with rising powers and traditional supporters. Urgent reform is needed to strengthen crisis surveillance, prevention, and response. Political scientists play a crucial role in guiding policymakers, but barriers like slow publication processes and divides between scholars and policymakers hinder the effective translation of research into action. Understanding and analyzing the international response is vital for combating the pandemic effectively. This article uses qualitative and literature review research methods. Qualitative research addresses questions about understanding the meaning and experience dimensions of humans' lives and social worlds. COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus disease 2019, has emerged as a significant global challenge and tragedy, rapidly spreading worldwide. In conclusion, the COVID-19 pandemic has been a significant global challenge with far-reaching consequences on various aspects of society.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students' interpersonal and intrapersonal skills at Integrated Vocational High School 1 Yaspida, where all students are in boarding schools and SMK Yasti district. Sukabumi, only 15% are boarding houses. The method used is qualitative with case studies. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman technique (data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion). The results of this study indicate that the soft skills of students at SMK YASTI and SMK Terpadu 1 Yaspida have the same results; students' interpersonal and intrapersonal skills are not affected by the presence of students living, whether they are in boarding school or not. Yasti Vocational School has a very good program, which can shape student characteristics and develop student soft skills, just like students who are in Islamic boarding schools. The soft skills aspect with the highest rating is the Collaboration aspect, and the lowest rating is on the leadership aspect. This research implies that through the implementation of project-based learning models, vocational high schools (SMK) can create a more realistic learning environment that is outcome-oriented and focused on developing skills needed in the working world and daily life.
