Abstract

The hashtag #MeToo was launched by activist Tarana Burke in 2006 to create "empowerment through empathy," expressed on Twitter in response to various allegations of sexual harassment. The use of hashtags in social movements is an approach to initiate connecting actions. This research aimed to examine the development and interconnectedness of communication through hashtags in social movements. The methodology employed was a literature review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines across sixty selected journals. The findings of this study indicate that hashtags have become a significant means of communication in various social movements, discussing a wide range of topics and fields. The research from 60 selected journals emphasizes the crucial role of hashtags in modern social movements, enabling communication and expression on social media platforms. Hashtags empower support, protests, and discussions on various social issues, exemplified by trends like #MeTooInceste, encouraging survivors to share traumatic experiences. The study recognizes the internet's dual role in criminology, serving as a space for crimes and supportive communities for victims. Notably, the research highlights decentralized information dissemination, centralized data collection, and hashtag activism's global influence. Despite their limitations, social media platforms facilitate critical conversations and social actions. Ultimately, hashtag activism legitimizes social media, underscoring its vital role in contemporary social movements.

Abstract

This study aims to measure four independent variables and one dependent variable using secondary data in the form of panel data comprising 27 districts/cities in a cross-section and a time series over 5 years. The data analysis method employed is panel data regression with the random effects method. Eviews version 12 was utilized for data processing, including testing classical assumptions, hypothesis testing, and testing the Adjusted coefficient of determination (R2). The research findings indicate significant relationships between specific variables and educated unemployment. Economic Growth negatively and significantly impacts educated unemployment, demonstrating its ability to decrease educated unemployment in the region. Minimum District Wage positively and significantly influences educated unemployment, implying that increasing UMK in an area can elevate the number of educated unemployed individuals. Additionally, the Human Development Index (HDI) exerts a negative and significant effect on educated unemployment, suggesting that higher HDI can reduce educated unemployment. However, foreign investment does not significantly affect educated unemployment. Overall, the study shows that these four independent variables explain 67.8% of educated unemployment, while the remaining 32.2% is influenced by factors beyond the study's scope.

Abstract

This study focuses on the ideological struggle in the 1955 elections in South Sulawesi. The practice of democracy made SARA the main menu of its implementation. Collected in electoral district twelve, South Sulawesi was in a tense political situation—the relaxation of the rules for organizing elections added to the dark traces of organizing this democratic party. The historical method is used in this research, which formulates research problems from a historical perspective. The procedures include searching and collecting sources (heuristics), source criticism (selection of materials), interpretation and comparison, and presenting or writing history (historiography). The results of this study show that the Masyumi party benefited from the pre-election situation in South Sulawesi. First, political campaigns were organized under the guidance of religion. Second, several Regional Heads affiliated with the Masyumi Party and election organizers facilitated Masyumi's interests toward the peak of power. Third, the interpretation of government regulations and circulars gave birth to the struggle strategy of the Star Moon banner. Abstract

Art is a visible manifestation of human creativity and imagination. A song, a sculpture, or a painting, for example, are all the products of human expressions, as are all other forms of art. They are typically admired for their beauty or emotional impact, much like in art. The human eye will appreciate the skill and beauty of an artist when they are able to depict reality in paintings in such a realistic manner. Therefore, it indicates that an artist is experimenting with realism when we talk about portraying subject matter so truly and without any artificiality. In the visual arts, realism refers to the precise representation of live forms, perspective, and the nuances of light and color. Viewing the work of a realistic artist using a conventional media and style is extremely uncommon in Pakistani contemporary art. Viewing works that explore only methods, drawing, composition, and accurately duplicating reality is even more uncommon. This chance came about as a result of Ali Azmat's recent solo exhibition at the Canvas Gallery in Karachi. Despite his past vivid and stunning work, a series of large-scale, realistic black and white portraits of women stood out.
