Abstract

The study assessed school plant management and COVID-19 mitigation for quality assurance in Kwara State public primary schools. In the study, a descriptive survey research design was used. In Kwara State public primary schools, 390 teachers were chosen using a multistage sampling technique. The study used a self-designed and validated questionnaire titled "SFMCQ" to collect data, and the index's reliability coefficient was 0.82. The results showed that the level of school plant management for COVID-19 mitigation in Kwara State public primary schools was moderate (55.9%); the government's measures to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic are the provision of stationed washing hand basins (76.5%); training and re-training support for human resources (61.3%); hand sanitizers (58.2%); school fumigation (52.2%); and the level of compliance with the government's measures A significant relationship existed between school plant management and COVID-19 mitigation in the schools (r =0.921, df = 389, P < 0.05). The study concluded that school plant management moderately enhanced COVID-19 pandemic mitigation for quality assurance in the schools. As a result, as nice as the government's measures are, there is a need for the government to develop a more robust contingency plan for COVID-19 mitigation and other emergencies that may disrupt the education system in the near future.

Abstract

Lack of pertinent skills has been linked to youth unrest brought on by rising unemployment rates. This work offered a method for students to learn without the assistance of a subject-matter expert (SME). The paper is a source of information that focuses on using the internet to develop entrepreneurial skills to address the issue of youth unemployment in developing countries. It is a fact that entrepreneurial skills are essential to job creation; active use of the internet to acquire pertinent knowledge could lead to self-actualization. Youth unemployment in developing nations is on the rise. This paper used real-world examples to demonstrate how internet resources can be helpful for performing tasks both at home and in the workplace. For example, studying saponification in chemistry can be taught similarly to how it is used in the soap manufacturing industry. Information on troubleshooting guides for electrical machines (electric motors and synchronous generators) was also provided from secondary sources. Finally, the "Internet of Skills" could be used to design a microgrid system. The Internet of Skills strategy was employed as the technique to accomplish this. With this strategy, it is possible to reduce youth unrest and improve security.

Abstract

A KKM determination is the initial stage of assessment. However, there are still some issues related to the topic, especially in musical some issues related to the topic, especially in music. Therefore, this research used a discrepancy evaluation model to describe the purpose of (1) the implementation level of KKM determination in music, specifically in terms of intake, complexity and carrying capacity. (2) The teachers’ constraints in determining KKM There were six music and art teachers from a junior high school who were taken as subjects in this research. Those subjects were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observations. Data analysis used qualitative analysis and descriptive statistics supported by quantitative data. The results showed that the implementation level of KKM determination in terms of technical procedures was categorized as "good" or "in accordance with predetermined criteria standards." The level of implementation in terms of weighting the value of KKM on the aspect of intake and carrying capacity was categorized as "not very good," while in complexity aspects it was categorized as "good." The teachers’ constraints in determining KKM include: a) determining the value of complexity; b) identifying the student's ability; c) determining the value of the intake; and d) weighing the value of KKM.

Abstract

A misconception is one of the learning obstacles that often occurs in biology class. This study aims to construct a diagnostic instrument to detect misconceptions of biological concepts during the first semester of senior high school and test the quality of the developed instrument. The instrument development model used was a modification of the Oriondo, Dallo-Antonio, and Azwar models. The construction begins with planning the measuring domain and preparing the blueprint for the test instrument. The processes were followed by an instrument seminar, peer review, expert judgment validation, and trying out the test on 885 students. In addition, an unstructured interview with the teachers determines the feasibility of the test instrument. The test content validity according to the Aiken formula is 0.85; the items have different levels of difficulty and good discriminating power; the number of 62 items fits the partial credit model. The reliability of the test is shown by a Kappa coefficient of 0.47. Thus, the test instrument proved to be valid and reliable. Thirteen teachers from eleven schools stated that the test is worthy of use in learning. For the school level, the instrument meets the criteria of a good test instrument.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine 1) how reading interest affects students' integrated science learning achievement. 2) The impact of students' learning behaviors on their science learning achievement 3) Effects of students' reading preferences and study practices on their integrated science learning achievement. This study is an example of correlational ex post facto research. The population of this study consisted of all students, totaling 470, from whom a sample of 150 was drawn using stratified random sampling methods. Questionnaires and documentation are used in the data retrieval approach. Regression analysis is the method of data analysis used. Results indicate that 1) reading interest has a significant impact on students' integrated science learning achievement, with a value of 0.000 (0.05), and that reading interest contributes relatively to 36.5% of students' integrated science learning achievement. 2) There is a substantial relationship between learning habits and students' integrated science learning achievement, with a significance level of 0.000 (p 0.05) and a relative contribution of 16.2% from learning habits. 3) With a value of 0.000 significance (0.05), there is a significant relationship between reading interest and learning habits and the achievement of integrated science learning students. Together, these two factors account for 36.5% of the students' integrated science learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of forming abbreviations used on Instagram. The method used in this study is observation by taking screenshots and recording abbreviation data. Furthermore, the sample used in this study does not depend on quantity but rather on quality based on the range and depth of the problems studied. The results of this study indicate that the process of forming abbreviations still follows the old pattern, and the new pattern is in the form of only one abbreviation, each retaining the first letter of each component and retaining the first letter with a number. Furthermore, abbreviations that still follow the old pattern and the new pattern in the form of acronyms consist of three respective formation processes, namely the preservation of the first letter of each component, the preservation of the first syllable of each component, the preservation of the first syllable and the preservation of the first letter of each component, and the preservation of the first syllable of the first word and the last syllable of the last word. The various syllables and letters of some components are conserved by the omission of prepositions, and the various syllables and letters of some components are conserved by omission. The second and third patterns are the dominant new patterns used in Instagram social media. The dominant use only pays attention to sound so that it looks slangy and pleasing to the listener's ear without paying attention to its logic.
