Abstract

This study aims to examine the correlation between knowledge of game rules and physical condition and the performance of football referees in the South Sulawesi provincial association. The research population consisted of football referees from the South Sulawesi provincial association. A sample of 30 people was taken based on purposive sampling. The referee's performance was the dependent variable of the study, whereas knowledge of game rules and physical condition were the independent variables. The research method employed a descriptive approach. The research data were analyzed using correlational techniques at a 95% significance level. The results of the study reveal that: (1) there is a significant correlation between knowledge of game rules and referee’s performance with a correlation value (r) of 0.746 and a contribution of 55.6%; (2) there is a significant correlation between the referee's physical condition and the referee's performance with a correlation value (r) of 0.751 and a contribution of 56.4%; and (3) there is a correlation between knowledge of game rules and physical condition collectively on referee’s performance with a correlation value (r) of 0.824 and a contribution of 68.4%.

Abstract

The study's background is based on the fact that no previous study has examined the football passing skills of Smanko students in South Sulawesi. This research aims to examine the influence of moving passing and concentration training on improving the football passing skills of Smanko students in Sulsel. This study utilized an experimental approach, employing a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of Smanko Sulsel students, who were still actively participating in routine training. We used a sample of 24 athletes. The results of the study are: there is an influence of moving passing training in increasing football passing skills of Smanko students in Sulsel with an average score of 83.00 with a sig value of 0.000 (P<0.05), and there is an influence of concentration in increasing football passing skills of Smanko students in Sulsel, obtaining an average score of - mean 79.17 with a sig value of 0.000 (P<0.05). Therefore, we can conclude that moving passing and concentration training significantly enhance the football passing skills of Smanko students in Sulsel.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of weight training and the hand reaction speed of the Gyaku Tsuki Punch on Inkanas Selayar Karate Sports. This type of study is a 2x2 factorial experiment. The research population included all Karate sports from Inkanas Selayar, with a total of 70 research samples. The sampling technique utilized the entire population, and the group division was based on matching ordinal pairs. The data analysis techniques used in this study were the 2x2 factorial analysis technique and the Tukey test with SPSS version 20.00 at the significant level of 95%, or α 0.05. The analysis revealed that: (1) Increasing the number of push-ups has a significant impact on gyaku tsuki stroke in Karate Sports of lnkanas Selayar, as evidenced by an increase in the mean from 19.8000 to 35.2500, with an observation of -16.359 > ttable 2.093 and the significant value 0.000 < ± 0.05; (2) There is an influence of pull-up training on gyaku tsuki stroke in Karate Sports oflnkanas Selayar, as proven by the increasing of the mean from 19.6500 to 39.1000 with tobservation -22.093 > ttable 2.093 and the significant value 0.000 < α 0.05. (3) Fcount 94.111 indicates a significant difference between push-up and pull-up training on the gyaku tsuki stroke in Karate Sports of Inkanas Selayar. The ttable value is 2.093, indicating a significant difference between push-up and pull-up training on the gyaku tsuki stroke in Karate Sports of Inkanas Selayar. ttable = 4.113 or significant value 0.000 < α 0.05, (5) there are differences of influence of gyaku tsuki stroke between high reaction speed groups by using push-up training and pull-up training with significant value 0.000 < α 0.05, and the high reaction speed trained by using pull-up is better than using push-up exercise, and (6) there are differences of gyaku tsuki stroke between low reaction speed groups by using push-up workout and pull-up training with significant value 0.000 < α 0.05, and the low reaction speed trained by using push-up is better than using pull-up exercice.

Abstract

This study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population for this study comprised members of the top management team, all teachers, non-teaching staff, and students (hereby referred to as stakeholders) in the 12 technical schools across the three federal constituencies in Osun State. We used a multi-stage sampling procedure to group the schools in the three senatorial districts of Osun State. For the study, we purposefully selected one local government area (LGA) with a technical college from each state senatorial district. We selected one technical college in each LGA for the study using a simple random sampling technique. We used the total enumeration sampling technique in each school to select all the top management teams, resulting in a total of 15 teams, each consisting of five members. We also used the convenience sampling technique to select 150 stakeholders from technical schools, with each senatorial district hosting 50 participants. The study employed two self-designed research instruments, the Facilities Availability Questionnaire (FA-Q) and the Stakeholders’ Perception Questionnaire (SP-Q). We used the mean and standard deviation of descriptive statistics for data analysis. Findings from the study revealed that there were facilities available to support teaching and learning processes in technical schools in Osun State; however, facilities such as internet access and functioning air conditioning were not available. The study concluded that the availability of facilities to support the teaching and learning process is essential for the effective delivery of technical education in Osun State.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine whether the playing method approach improves shot put learning outcomes for high school students. The research subjects were 36 students in class X Science 2 of Senior High School, Makassar. This study conducted classroom action research in two cycles, with each cycle encompassing planning, action, observation, and reflection. Tests, documentation, and observation are used to collect data. The research results showed that in the first cycle analysis, there were 15 students (42%) in the complete category, and in the second cycle, there was a significant increase, with 35 students (97.2%) in the complete category. According to my observations, 42% of student learning outcomes in cycle I increased by 97.2% in cycle II. According to observations from cycles I and II, applying the playing method can improve learning outcomes in shot put.

Abstract

This study aims to determine BKMF Sparta FIKK UNM athletes' volleyball serviceability. This type of research is known as descriptive research. The research sample comprised 20 athletes, selected through a sampling technique from the entire population of athletes participating in the BKMF Sparta FIKK UNM, for 20 participants. This study utilizes a volleyball serviceability test. We used descriptive statistics for data analysis, ensuring a 95% truth level. The research results from the UsinprogrammeS version 25.00 program revealed that out of 20 athletes, or 100%, BKMF Sparta FIKK UNM athletes had the best serving ability in volleyball; 1 athlete, or 5.0%, falls into the excellent category, and 3 athletes, or 15.0%, belong to the good group. The moderate category included 10 athletes (50.0%), the poor category included 5 athletes (25.0%), and the very poor category included 1 athlete (5.0%). Therefore, it can be said that the best serving ability of BKMF Sparta FIKK UNM athletes in volleyball is in the medium group if you look at the final statistical percentage.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in slalom dribble and relay dribble training and to compare the effectiveness of these training methods in improving the dribble skills of the men's basketball team at Public High School 1 Pangkep. This research is experimental. In this study, the sample consisted of 16 male students who were active in extracurricular basketball. The dribble test and measurement research instrument used is the AAHPERD Basketball Control Dribble Test Data. The data were analyzed using the inferential statistics t-test. The results of this study show that: (1) there is an influence of slalom dribble training on improving ball dribble skills on the men's basketball team at Public High School 1 Pangkep; (2) there is an influence of relay dribble training on improving ball dribble skills on the men's basketball team at Public High School 1 Pangkep; and (3) there is a comparison between slalom dribble training and relay dribble training in improving ball dribble skills on the men's basketball team at Public High School 1 Pangkep.

Abstract

This study aims to elucidate the impact of the Discovery Learning model on the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in the eighth grade. This investigation employs a quantitative approach, specifically a quasi-experiment. We conducted this investigation in class 8 of Public Middle School 2 Candi Sidoarjo, utilizing both an experimental and a control group. The results of the data analysis and discussion indicate that teacher activities in social studies learning meet the criteria for both the experimental group and the control class and that student activities in improving students' critical thinking skills in the experimental group are better than the control class. Additionally, at a significance level of 5% (0.05), we observe a significant influence or difference in student responses, with a p-value of 0.000. Therefore, we can conclude that the Discovery Learning learning model significantly influences students' critical thinking skills about the geographical conditions of the ASEAN countries through the atlas, compared to conventional models.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to define the influence of multicultural education on junior high school students' acquisition of social studies knowledge. This study employs a qualitative and descriptive research approach. This study focuses on the Middle-School 6 Sidoarjo component, namely the instructor and students. The results of the data analysis and discussion show that the classroom implementation of multicultural education in social studies is effective. Students may be well-trained to influence and make a positive impact, among other desired outcomes. Be tolerant in accepting all differences, as they are manifestations of God's grace. Do not discriminate against friends who hold different beliefs; do not impose your own beliefs on others; allow others the freedom to choose their own beliefs; refrain from interfering with others' worship; continue to interact and behave well with those who hold dissimilar beliefs in worldly matters; show respect for those who are worshiping; and refrain from hating or hurting the feelings of those with differing beliefs or opinions. We expect these manifestations of tolerance to generate constructive energy, thereby preventing conflicts or disagreements among pupils.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of developing and producing high-quality, realistic mathematics learning devices using the REACT strategy at the junior high school level and their effectiveness in training students' mathematical connection skills. This type of research is known as development research. The learning devices developed in this study are the Mathematics Connection Ability Tests. We developed the test using the 4-D development model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects for the trial class were 35 students of class VIII-A, and the research subjects for the implementation class were 35 students of class VIII-B. This study used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the tests developed were of excellent quality because they met the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. In addition, realistic mathematics learning with the REACT strategy effectively trains students' mathematical connection skills. This is evident in the aspects of learning quality, the appropriateness of the learning level, the use of incentives, and the amount of time allocated, all of which align with the planning outlined in the learning implementation plan. Furthermore, realistic mathematics learning and the REACT strategy effectively enhance students' mathematical connection skills.
