Journal Competency of Business is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (July and December) by the Management Study Program at Universitas Cokroaminoto Yogyakarta. Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of financial literacy in S1 Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University students using the scientific method (scientific method) that is to build one or more hypotheses based on a structure or theoretical framework which then tests the hypothesis empirically. The scientific method in this study uses a qualitative approach that is a research approach that works with numbers, the data in the form of numbers (scores or values, ranks and frequencies) are then analyzed using statistics to answer research questions or hypotheses that are specific in nature and make predictions that a certain variable affects a variable the other. The objects in this study are S1 Students at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Faculty of Economics (Accounting and Management), and Non-Economic Faculties, among others: Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK), Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI), English Language Education (PBI), Education Physics, Mathematics Education, Mechanical Engineering Education (PTM), Agribusiness, Agrotechnology, Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Science Education, Fine Arts, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Psychology. This study also aims to determine whether there is a relationship between age, gender, GPA, study program, year of entry, residence status, parental education and parental income to the level of financial literacy of Sarjanawiyata University Tamansiswa students. This study used a sample of 263 students including the Faculty Economics as many as 100 people and Non-Economics Faculty as many as 163 people. In the results of the analysis of the level of student financial literacy there are results that are 7 (0.2%) High category students, 209 (79%) Medium category students, 44 (1.8%) Low category students, and 3 (0.1 %) The category of students is very low, besides age, GPA, study program, year of entry, and parents' income have an influence on student financial literacy, while gender and parent's education have no influence on student financial literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determinethe effect of Debt to Equity Ratio, Return On Assets, Price Earning Ratio, and Economic Value Added on Stock Returns on Property and Real Estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2014-2018 period. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Samples were obtained from 11 Property and Real Estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2014-2018 period. Based on the results of data analysis shows that Debt to Equity Ratio and Return On Assets have a positive and significant effect on Stock Return, Price Earning Ratio and Economic Value Added have a negative and no significant effect on Stock Return. Together Debt to Equity Ratio, Return On Assets, Price Earning Ratio, and Economic Value Added have a positive and significant effect on Stock Return.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of consumer safety and information quality on purchasing decisions through trust in fashion products in shopee. The location of this research is in Yogyakarta. The population of this research is shopee users in Yogyakarta. A sample of 100 respondents was taken using the accidential sampling technique. The data collection method used a questionnaire. The analysis used is multiple linear analysis with the results of the study showing that consumer security has a significant effect on trust, information quality has a significant effect on trust, consumer security has no significant effect on purchasing decisions, information quality has no significant effect on purchasing decisions, trust has a significant effect on consumer confidence. Security can explain the indirect relationship between consumer security and information quality with purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of information quality, risk perception, and trust on purchasing decisions on Tokopedia consumers in Bantul Regency (2) the effect of information quality on purchasing decisions on Tokopedia consumers in Bantul Regency (3) the effect of risk perceptions on decisions purchases at Tokopedia consumers in Bantul Regency (4) the effect of trust on purchasing decisions on Tokopedia consumers in Bantul Regency. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study are consumers who have purchased products or goods for at least the last six months on Tokopedia. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total of 100 respondents. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression. The results showed that: (1) there was a positive and significant influence on the quality of information on purchasing decisions at Tokopedia, as evidenced by the t-count value of 3.138; the significance value is 0.002 <0.05; and a regression coefficient of 0.214; (2) there is a positive and significant impact on risk perceptions on purchasing decisions on Tokopedia, as evidenced by the t value of 4,750; the significance value is 0.000 <0.05; and a regression coefficient of 0.479; (3) there is a positive and significant effect of trust on purchasing decisions on Tokopedia, as evidenced by the t value of 2.227; the significance value is 0.028 <0.05; and a regression coefficient of 0.128; (5) there is a positive influence on information quality, risk perception, and trust in purchasing decisions on Tokopedia, as evidenced by the calculated F value of 20.096 with a significance of 0.00 <0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test and find out and determine the effect of perceived security and information quality on online purchase intention through trust in a reliable online store. The effect of perceived security on trust in Sorabel, the effect of information quality on trust in sorabel, the effect of perceived security on online purchase intention, the effect of information quality on online purchase intention and the influence of trust on online purchase intention. This research is quantitative. The population is Sorabel consumers in Yogyakartas. Samples were taken using a probality sampling technique with a total questionnaire of 100 respondents. Primary data collection techniques using questionnaires. The method of data analysis using multiple linear regression previously conducted a classic assumption test consisting of normality test, heteroxidation test and multicolonierity test. The results showed that there was a positive effect on perceived security, a positive influence on information quality, a positive influence on trust and online purchase intention. Significant positive effect of perceived security on trust; significant positive effect of information quality on trust; significant positive effect of perceived security on online purchase intention; significant positive effect of trust on online purchase intention.

Abstract

The majority of SMEs in its activities is how to obtain the highest possible profits without pay attention to the potential negative impacts. The purpose of this research is how to increase the financial performan through strengthening the financial performance through the strengthening of institutional and production on the SME-based green economy.. The methodology used in this study by doing observation as well as administering the questionnaire to SMEs, then the results of these questionnaires do tabulate and analyzed using the structure equation model and then do analysis by AMOS. Based on statistical analysis of the results obtained that financial performan has no capability as full variable intervening to the financial performan and competitivness on SMES based on green economy

Abstract

Good Corporate Governance is very closely discussed with spirituality that is based on religious teachings. Companies that pay attention to the spiritual aspects of doing business can be developed into a sustainable company. Companies that pay attention to the spiritual aspects of running a business, can develop into a sustainable company. Companies that are included in the category of spiritual companies make Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a guideline and company value (company value) which is always upheld and practiced in daily business activities. This study aims to describe the implementation of spiritual company on the principles of good corporate governance in the Taman Batik Terang Bulan Group in Yogyakarta. The method used to determine informants is purposive sampling. In this qualitative research data collection using interviews, documentation and observation. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the principles of good corporate governance in the Taman Batik Terang Bulan is quite good. This is proven by spiritual values in business activities. However, there is a need to improve understanding of the financial system and basic terms in financial accounting and the need for clear standards from companies in financial records and companies must be able to internalize and synergize basic GCG guidelines such as transparency, responsibility, accountability, independence, and fairness to stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the level of bankruptcy connected by the hotel, restaurant and tourism sub-sector service companies using the Altman Z-Score method analysis tool. This research is included in descriptive research. The sample of this research is the hotel, restaurant and tourism sub-sector service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2014-2018. The sampling technique uses documentation techniques, namely by collecting data, analyzing data, and analyzing secondary data taken from the company's financial statements. The number of samples taken was three companies during the five years period of the current year. Data analysis was taken in accordance with financial ratios in the Altman Z-Score analysis method. The results showed that the companies selected were on average in bankruptcy / gray areas prone areas in accordance with the results of the acquisition of the Z-Score value specified in Altman Z-Score analysis method.

Abstract

There are so much information available in security markets provided by many sources. These information then are used by many users for decision making. Disclosure is one of thoose containing more complete and more detail information a specific company. Inpresenting disclosure, company is facing trading off: how to present appropriate disclosure without eliminating users’ rights and preventing competitors in gainig private information. By collecting and analyzing disclosure from articles and researches, most from Accounting Review and Journal of Accounting. I found company will consider both costs and benefits in deciding which disclosure will be presented. Distrubing effect, the use of private information by potential competitors, is one of the company considerations. I concluded, since there always be the third party, equilibrilium disclosure will never be reached.
