Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (JPKM) Langit Biru merupakan jurnal untuk mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Sivitas Akademika (Dosen, Taruna/Mahasiswa, Tenaga Kependidikan) berupa pelatihan, workshop, sosialisasi, penerapan teknologi tepat guna, pemberdayaan masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesejahteraan dalam Masyarakat pada berbagai bidang ilmu seperti Pendidikan, Teknik, Komputer, hukum, transportasi, (khususnya pada bidang transportasi udara atau penerbangan) dan bidang ilmu yang lain.

Abstract

Community-based tourism (CBT) is a tourism development approach that places local communities as the main actors in managing and utilizing tourism resources. This approach is considered important as it promotes tourism sustainability while improving community welfare. Lembang Saluallo, located in Sangalla Utara District, Tana Toraja Regency, has considerable natural and cultural tourism potential; however, it has not been optimally managed through a community-based tourism approach. Therefore, this community service activity aims to encourage early innovation in community-based tourism development through community assistance and capacity building. The community service program was conducted by involving local government officials and community members as primary partners. A participatory approach was applied through field observation, socialization, discussions, training, and community mentoring. The stages of the program included identifying tourism potential, increasing community understanding of CBT and sustainability principles, and formulating an initial concept for community-based tourism management. The results indicate an improvement in community understanding and participation in tourism management. The community has begun to identify local natural and cultural tourism potentials and has shown initiative in developing supporting tourism facilities through self-help activities. These findings demonstrate that participatory assistance is effective in enhancing community readiness as the main actor in tourism development. This community service activity is significant as an initial step toward establishing sustainable community-based tourism management in Lembang Saluallo. Abstract

The publication of scientific articles is an important indicator in developing teacher professionalism. However, teachers' abilities in publishing scientific articles are still relatively low. This activity aims to provide teachers with an understanding of writing and the procedures for publishing scientific articles in accredited journals. The methods used are face-to-face presentations and discussions. The subjects of this community service activity are teachers at SDN 24 Pontianak Tenggara. The instrument used is a post-test questionnaire. The post-test results indicate an improvement in teachers' understanding of scientific article writing and publication. A challenge in the workshop was the limited time available for completing the articles, so further guidance is needed in the process of submitting articles to the OJS system.

Abstract

Airport mechanical systems such as baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges, HVAC, elevators, escalators, and lifting equipment pose significant risks without proper Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) implementation. This community service program aimed to improve airport technicians’ understanding and skills in applying OSH principles in accordance with national regulations. The program consisted of needs assessment, development of training materials, two interactive online training sessions, and post-training evaluation. Training covered hazard identification, use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), and safe work procedures. The results showed improved participant awareness of mechanical hazards and safety practices, as well as strengthened commitment to a sustainable OSH culture.

Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic book writing has the potential to increase the productivity and quality of lecturers' work, but requires a strong foundation of academic ethics so as not to violate scientific integrity. This Community Service activity aims to increase the productivity of book writing by lecturers at Muhammadiyah University Mataram through the use of AI based on academic ethics. The activity was attended by 22 lecturers from various faculties and was carried out in three stages, namely the preparation of AI-based book writing materials and modules, the implementation of training and workshops, and evaluation and reflection. The evaluation was conducted through direct observation and a Likert scale questionnaire covering seven indicators of writing competence and motivation. The evaluation results showed excellent achievements in all indicators, with a 90.91% understanding of AI concepts, 86.36% mastery of AI tools, 88.18% technical writing skills, 92.73% writing process efficiency, academic ethics comprehension of 90.91%, training material suitability of 92.73%, and an increase in writing motivation of 94.55%. This activity was effective in improving the technical competence and ethical awareness of lecturers in AI-based academic book writing.

Abstract

Fire incidents may occur suddenly, including residential areas, workplaces, and public spaces. Understanding fire characteristics, potential ignition sources, and appropriate fire handling and extinguishing methods is essential, as improper actions may increase risks and worsen emergency situations. For instance, using water to extinguish fires caused by oil or electrical sources can result in more severe hazards. This community training program was conducted to enhance public capacity and awareness in managing fire risks in residential and workplace environments. The program aimed to strengthen participants’ theoretical understanding and practical skills related to fire prevention and initial fire response. The implementation methods included educational sessions, demonstrations, and direct hands-on fire extinguishing practices conducted both manually and using portable fire extinguishers (APAR). The purpose of this activity are expected to increase community awareness of the importance of safety culture, reduce the number of fire incidents, and improve community preparedness in fire prevention and initial response. Ultimately, participants are expected to be able to respond quickly, appropriately, and safely during emergency situations.

Abstract

Practice-based learning models, especially those using tools, have proven to be easier for students to understand, especially when the material is technical. Challenges arise when practical tools must be purchased, and costs are often high. Therefore, the existence of Wokwi as a virtual simulation platform for Arduino Microcontrollers is an effective solution to overcome the constraints of equipment procurement, so that practical learning continues to run well and optimally. The purpose of this Community Service (PkM) is to broaden the insight of students of SMAN 92 Jakarta Utara regarding the use of the Wokwi Web-based Arduino microcontroller simulator application, thus enabling virtual learning without the need for physical devices or sensors. With this approach, students of SMAN 92 North Jakarta can understand the concept of Arduino microcontrollers practically, thereby eliminating the constraints of cost and availability of tools. This community service activity ( PkM ) was carried out using lecture methods and science and technology simulations. Based on the Post Test Results of 271 students, 81.40% of students of SMAN 92 Jakarta located at Jl.Pemadam Api Semper Barat, Cilincing, Jakarta Utara City, Daerah Khusus Jakarta understood the activity material presented, thus the results of this PkM are in the good category. Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has brought changes to various industries, especially in the field of education. Artificial intelligence-based learning models, especially those that use web tools, have proven to be easier for students to understand and use, especially when the material is technical in nature. Currently, challenges arise when web applications that utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology emerge, but we do not yet understand the basics of AI use itself. This community service activity aims to broaden students' knowledge of the use of Artificial Intelligence or AI-based applications so that they can be used more optimally to assist high school students in their teaching and learning activities. With this approach, a comprehensive understanding of the concept of Artificial Intelligence/AI can be achieved in a practical manner, thereby helping students find learning materials and tools that can be used to support activities both inside and outside of school. The target of this community service program is for the UTM Jakarta team to provide the basics of using “prompts” or commands that can help students find specific solutions in utilizing AI web application technology.
