Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan standardisasi operasional dan peningkatan kualitas layanan pada pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di bawah naungan LKKNU Madani MWC NU Tulungagung. Berdasarkan observasi awal, mitra menghadapi kendala operasional akibat ketiadaan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) layanan dan penanganan keluhan pelanggan yang cenderung emosional dan tidak terstruktur. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) yang meliputi pemaparan materi, simulasi roleplay penanganan keluhan (service recovery), serta pendampingan penyusunan draf SOP sederhana yang mengadaptasi standar perbankan dan berbasis etika bisnis Islam. Evaluasi keberhasilan dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi partisipatif selama sesi simulasi dan wawancara intensif melalui diskusi di WhatsApp Group (WAG). Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya transformasi perilaku (behavioral change) yang signifikan, di mana mitra mampu mempraktikkan teknik komunikasi profesional, merespons keluhan dengan prinsip tabayyun, dan menyusun alur layanan yang lebih terstruktur. Dampak dari kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya kesadaran kolektif mitra bahwa manajemen kualitas layanan (service quality management) merupakan aset strategis untuk meningkatkan loyalitas pelanggan dan daya saing ekonomi umat.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di SMK Pembangunan Kikil Kabupaten Pacitan dengan tujuan untuk menambah literasi pengetahuan siswa tentang perkembangan industri 4.0 khusus nya dalam bidang Internet of Things (IoT). Latar belakang diadakannya kegiatan pelatihan ini karena adanya diskusi dengan pihak sekolah bahwa pengetahuan siswa terkait dengan konsep serta penerapan teknologi IoT yang masih terbatas. Metode yang diterapkan pada pengabdian ini dikemas dalam bentuk pelatihan dimana kegiatan terdiri dari penyampaian materi oleh tim yang kemudian dilanjutkan praktikum ujicoba secara langsung konsep dan penerapan IoT oleh siswa. Peralatan praktikum yang digunakan yaitu ESP32, sensor, aktuator serta perangkat lunak Arduino IDE. Dari hasil kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan dengan melihat hasil nilai pre-test dan post-test dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat perkembangan yang signifikan. Sebelumnya nilai minimum yang didapatkan siswa yaitu 60, setelah dilakukan pelatihan minimun nilai yang didapatkan siswa adalah 80. Hasil umpan balik juga menunjukkan nilai positif, dimana dalam skala Likert rata-rata nilai kuesioner yang diberikan didapatkan nilai lebih dari 4,5 yang berarti pelatihan ini efektif dalam mambangun minat dan motivasi siswa. Secara keseluruhan pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan siswa dalam bidang IoT.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a vital role in economic growth and employment, particularly in Southeast Asia. Despite their significance, many SMEs face persistent challenges in  implementing  proper  accounting  practices  and  effective  human  resource  management (HRM), which limit their business sustainability and competitiveness. This community service program aimed to address these challenges through an interactive discussion on accounting and HRM with SMEs operating in shopping centers in Bangkok, Thailand. The activity was conducted from 20–23 February 2025 and involved SME owners and managers as primary participants. Using a participatory and two-way discussion approach, the program introduced practical accounting techniques, such as simple financial recording and cash flow management, as well as basic HRM strategies related to employee motivation, retention, and work efficiency. The results of the activity indicate that most SMEs still rely on informal management practices but demonstrate strong motivation to improve when provided with practical and accessible knowledge. The interactive format facilitated effective knowledge exchange between academics and   entrepreneurs   and   strengthened   cross-cultural   collaboration   between   Indonesian academics   and   Thai   SMEs.   Overall,   the   program   contributed   to   enhancing   SMEs’ understanding of accounting and HRM, supporting their long-term business sustainability, and reinforcing the role of universities in international community engagement and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach grounded in bilingual literacy and digital marketing to enhance product competitiveness. The phenomenon examined is the limited ability of MSME actors to develop communicative and effective promotional content in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, as well as the suboptimal utilization of digital marketing strategies. This research employs the ABCD approach, consisting of the stages of discovery, dream, design, and destiny, which emphasize active community participation in identifying and developing local assets. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving selected MSME actors using purposive sampling. The findings reveal three main outcomes: the improvement of bilingual literacy in marketing communication, the optimization of digital marketing as a promotional medium, and the strengthening of MSME actors’ capacity and self-confidence. The integration of language literacy and marketing strategies proved effective in generating more persuasive promotional content and increasing consumer engagement. These findings indicate that asset-based empowerment combined with communicative approaches and digital technology can produce a significant impact on business development. The study concludes that the ABCD approach based on bilingual literacy and digital marketing is effective in sustainably enhancing MSME competitiveness. This research contributes theoretically by offering an interdisciplinary integration framework in community empowerment studies and practically by proposing an applicable training model. Future research is recommended to examine the long-term impact on business performance and to expand the implementation across various MSME sectors.

Abstract

The underutilization of organic waste, particularly Sesbania grandiflora leaves, represents both a challenge and an opportunity in supporting sustainable agricultural and livestock systems. This community service activity was conducted with the Karya Makmur Farmers Group in Air Satan Village, aiming to enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills in processing turi leaves into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The methods employed included counseling, training on the production of LOF based on local microorganisms (MOL), and assistance in its application for crops and integration into livestock systems. The results showed that the members of the farmers group were able to understand the production process and independently produce LOF. The resulting LOF can be utilized to improve soil fertility, promote plant growth, and serve as a supporting material in livestock feed fermentation. Furthermore, this activity contributed positively by reducing organic waste, lowering production costs, and increasing awareness of environmentally friendly agricultural practices. Therefore, the innovation of utilizing turi leaf waste into LOF can serve as a practical solution to support sustainable agriculture and livestock systems at the community level.
