Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the influence of a deep dialogue / critical thinking (DD/CT) learning model on the mathematical reasoning ability of students in class X of high school on opportunity materials at Budi Murni Catholic Private High School – 3 Medan. The type of research used is quantitative using quasi-experimentation with the research design being pretest postest control group design. This study uses 2 classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. The test of the research instruments used in this study are the validity test, reliability test, question differentiating power test and question difficulty level test, to find out whether the question to be tested is feasible or not. The prerequisite tests used are the normality test and the homogeneity test. For the hypothesis test, a t-independent test (α:0.05%) was used with the P criterion. The value must be less than 0.05, so there is a significant difference. The result of the t- independent test obtained was 0.004. The significant difference between the control class and the experimental class that was given different treatment can be concluded that the deep dialogue/critical thinking (DD/CT) learning model has an effect on students' mathematical reasoning skills.

Abstract

This study concludes that transformational leadership and human resource management (HRM) significantly enhance employee performance at the Pekanbaru City Education Office. Transformational leadership—reflected through idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration—effectively improves the quality, quantity, and punctuality of employee work by providing role modeling, inspiration, and intellectual empowerment. Meanwhile, professionally implemented HRM practices, including planning, recruitment, competency development, compensation, and performance evaluation, contribute substantially to strengthening employee motivation, effectiveness, and productivity. Together, these two factors mutually reinforce one another: transformational leadership offers direction and momentum for change, while HRM provides a supportive system that enables employee development. Collectively, they cultivate an innovative, competitive organizational culture oriented toward enhancing the quality of public services.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dengan pendekatan Total Quality Management (TQM) di SMAN 3 Siak Hulu sebagai upaya peningkatan mutu layanan pendidikan. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari kebutuhan sekolah untuk mengelola sumber daya secara mandiri, responsif, dan berbasis mutu dalam menghadapi tantangan kualitas pembelajaran yang masih belum konsisten. Kombinasi MBS dan TQM dipandang sebagai strategi relevan untuk membangun budaya mutu yang berkelanjutan, partisipatif, dan berorientasi pada kepuasan peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak NVivo untuk memastikan keterlacakan data yang sistematis. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, staf administrasi, siswa, dan komite sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan MBS dengan pendekatan TQM di SMAN 3 Siak Hulu telah berjalan, tetapi belum mencapai kategori optimal. Pada aspek fokus pelanggan, sekolah sudah berupaya meningkatkan layanan belajar, namun konseling, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, dan respons terhadap masukan orang tua masih perlu diperkuat. Pada keterlibatan semua pihak, kolaborasi internal cukup baik, tetapi partisipasi guru, staf, dan orang tua belum merata. Perbaikan berkelanjutan masih bersifat formalitas karena tindak lanjut evaluasi tidak selalu konsisten. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah menunjukkan komitmen terhadap mutu, meski koordinasi dan pembinaan masih memerlukan penguatan. Aspek pengambilan keputusan berbasis data juga belum optimal karena sebagian kebijakan masih berbasis kebiasaan, bukan hasil analisis data akademik yang komprehensif. Faktor pendukung meliputi komitmen pimpinan, dukungan masyarakat, dan budaya kerja yang mulai terbentuk; sedangkan faktor penghambat mencakup pemahaman TQM yang belum merata, resistensi terhadap perubahan, keterbatasan pelatihan, dan manajemen data yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi MBS–TQM dapat memperkuat tata kelola sekolah jika dijalankan secara konsisten melalui kolaborasi, evaluasi sistematis, dan inovasi berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of a Love-Based Curriculum in building student character at MTs Laboratorium UIN Bukittinggi. The research employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing case study and observational approaches to gather data from teachers, students, and school administrators. Data collection methods include interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the Love-Based Curriculum positively impacts students' emotional and social development by fostering a nurturing environment where values such as empathy, respect, and kindness are embedded in daily activities. Students displayed enhanced emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and a stronger sense of belonging within the school community. However, challenges such as insufficient teacher preparation, training, and resource limitations were also identified. The study concludes that while the Love-Based Curriculum has the potential to foster character development, its success depends on continuous support and collaboration among educators, students, and the school administration. This research contributes to the academic field by linking love-based pedagogical approaches with character education, particularly in the madrasah context. It provides valuable insights for educators aiming to implement similar curricula to promote emotional and social competencies in students. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the need for a comprehensive, well-supported approach to effectively integrate values of love and empathy in educational practices, offering a model for other institutions seeking to enhance character education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Student Errors in Solving Addition and Subtraction Fraction Problems for Class VII Students of SMP Negeri 2 Pegagan Hilir in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study used a purposive sampling technique by taking 3 students of Class VII-1 SMP Negeri 2 Pegagan Hilir who were in accordance with the criteria for selecting research subjects, while data collection techniques were carried out by tests, interviews and documentation. Each test result was analyzed based on the indicator of Student Errors in solving the problem. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students with a high level of error in solving problems (K1) tend to experience errors in understanding the problem, errors in carrying out the calculation process, errors in process skills, and errors in writing answers. Subject K1 can only rewrite the known problem, but to solve the problem Subject K1 cannot solve the problem. Subject K1 made an error in calculating fractions as evidenced by questions number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 not finding a solution to the problem. Students with a moderate level of error in solving problems (K2) tend to experience process skill errors and errors in writing answers on questions 4 and 5. This can be seen in the indicators of process skill errors and errors in writing answers, subject K2 tends to make mistakes in using formulas or steps that are in accordance with the conditions of the problem. Students with a low level of error in solving problems (K3) tend to experience errors in drawing conclusions on question number 5 part b. This can be seen in the indicator of errors in writing answers, subject K3 makes mistakes in determining the final answer which is aimed at solving the problem incorrectly.

Abstract

The Deep Learning approach is not merely a learning model that emphasizes cognitive mastery of material, but rather one that develops analytical, reflective, problem-solving, and creative abilities, as well as the skill to connect concepts with real-world situations. The purpose of this study is to understand and implement the deep learning approach to improve the quality of learning at SMPK Frater Maumere. This research employs a literature review method using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This method was selected to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the strategies for interpreting and implementing the deep learning approach to enhance learning quality at the junior high school level, particularly in the context of SMPK Frater Maumere. Based on the analysis of literature using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, it can be concluded that the application of the deep learning approach in junior high school education has significant potential to improve the quality of both the learning process and students' learning outcomes.
