Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has driven humanity and various sectors to quickly adapt, including internet network infrastructure in educational institutions. The internet has become the backbone in supporting smooth administrative processes and learning activities. However, the high number of users often leads to a decline in connection quality, such as slow data access and increased delay. To address this issue, an appropriate bandwidth management method is required to ensure a more balanced and efficient distribution of connections. This study employs the MikroTik RB450Gx4 device with the Queue Tree method and Quality of Service (QoS) to proportionally distribute bandwidth. Testing was conducted by measuring network performance parameters, including throughput, latency, packet loss, and jitter, both before and after the implementation of the method. The results indicate an average throughput increase of 27%, a decrease in latency from 60 ms to 40 ms, a reduction in packet loss from 5% to below 1%, and more stable jitter maintained under 5 ms. These improvements demonstrate that implementing bandwidth management based on Queue Tree and QoS can significantly enhance connection quality. In conclusion this method can effectively support operational activities and learning processes within the school environment

Abstract

Nur Hidayah Mosque in Dusun III, Tuntungan I Village, Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency, faces challenges in financial management, which is still conducted manually using cash books and printed reports. This manual system leads to delays, recording errors, and difficulties in monitoring and evaluating finances. To improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency, this study designs and develops a web-based financial management information system using the incremental development method. The system allows mosque administrators, particularly the admin and treasurer, to digitally record income and expenses, generate automatic financial reports, and store data in a structured and easily accessible format. Features such as automatic recap and digital archiving further support transparency and accountability. The implementation of this system is expected to significantly enhance the performance of mosque financial management by providing faster and more organized data access while minimizing manual recording errors. This system contributes to the modernization of mosque financial administration and can serve as a reference for similar future research

Abstract

The increasing cases of motorcycle theft in Indonesia reveal the weaknesses of conventional security systems, such as mechanical locks that are easily compromised. This condition creates a scientific gap for developing security solutions based on biometric technology and the Internet of Things (IoT). This study proposes the design of a motorcycle security system with fingerprint authentication integrated with IoT. The research method used is prototyping, which includes requirement analysis, system design, prototype development, and testing. The system is built using an ESP32 as the main controller, an AS608 fingerprint sensor for user identification, a 2-channel relay for electrical control, a solenoid lock as the physical locking mechanism, and the Blynk application for remote control via the internet, which also serves as an alternative to the fingerprint sensor in case of errors or failures. The test results demonstrate that the system can accurately recognize registered fingerprints, activate the motorcycle’s electrical system, and automatically lock and unlock the solenoid with a fast response. The Blynk application functioned effectively as both a real-time control medium and an alternative control button when the fingerprint sensor experienced errors. These findings indicate that the proposed system can enhance motorcycle security compared to conventional methods while also providing ease of access for users. However, this research is still limited to the laboratory prototype stage and has not yet been directly implemented on motorcycles under real-world conditions.

Abstract

Problems in conventional parking systems are still frequently encountered, such as difficulties in finding vacant slots and the lack of real-time information for drivers. This study aims to develop an IoT-based Smart Parking system capable of detecting parking slot availability and providing automatic voice navigation for drivers within parking buildings. The research method employed is prototyping, consisting of requirement analysis, system design, prototype development, and testing stages. The system utilizes ESP32 as the main microcontroller, infrared and ultrasonic sensors for vehicle detection, and a DFPlayer Mini module for voice navigation. Parking information is displayed in real-time on an LCD screen and the Blynk application via a WiFi connection. The test results show that the system achieved an average response time of 1.57 seconds, an accuracy rate of 94.7%, and stable performance under various test conditions. The components used are cost-effective, with an estimated prototype cost of Rp600,000–Rp1,000,000 per unit, making it feasible for real implementation in parking buildings. The system has proven to be responsive, efficient, and practical, and can serve as an innovative solution for modern parking management based on IoT technology and smart navigation

Abstract

The development of information technology demands that companies provide efficient and easy-to-use digital services. PT. Ridho Makmur Sentosa, as a logistics service provider, faces obstacles in delivering shipping information through a website whose interface is less than optimal and does not support the user experience. This study aims to analyze and redesign the UI/UX appearance of the Ridho Logistics website using a Design Thinking approach that focuses on user needs. This method is implemented through five stages, namely empathy, definition, ideation, prototype, and testing. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires involving 30 respondents. The interface usability evaluation used the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results showed an increase in the average score from 52.4 (Marginal–Low category) for the previous design to 80.8 (Excellent category) for the new design, indicating that the new UI/UX design has met user needs by improving the quality of the PT. Ridho Makmur Sentosa website interface design.

Abstract

Household aquarium maintenance is generally performed manually, including feeding, monitoring temperature and turbidity, and water replacement, which is time-consuming and may reduce water quality, leading to stress or fish mortality. Although Internet of Things (IoT) technology has developed, its application in household aquariums remains limited. This study designed and implemented an IoT-based smart feeder with automatic feeding, water quality monitoring, and automatic water replacement using ESP32, DS18B20 temperature sensor, turbidity sensor, ultrasonic sensor, RTC, servo motor, water pump, and the Blynk application, applying a prototyping method. Tests showed the DS18B20 sensor had an average error of ±1.55% with 98.45% accuracy and ±1.5 s response time; the turbidity sensor distinguished clear and turbid conditions with 99% accuracy and ±2 s response; the ultrasonic sensor reached 92%; feed distribution achieved 98.6% with 1.2 s servo response; and water replacement achieved 66.7%–90% depending on turbidity threshold, with Blynk latency <2 s. Overall, the system achieved an average success rate of 91.5%, reducing manual workload, maintaining optimal water quality, and improving user convenience, while providing opportunities for further IoTbased aquarium automation development at the household scale
