Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Google Forms as an evaluation medium in the assessment process of distance learning at SMP Rahmat Islamiyah Medan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that Google Forms provides convenience for teachers in creating, distributing, and correcting evaluation questions efficiently. Additionally, students responded positively as they could easily access exam questions through digital devices. Although there were some obstacles such as unstable internet connections and limited device availability, overall the use of Google Forms improved the effectiveness and efficiency of the distance learning assessment process. This study recommends ongoing training for teachers and improvement of digital facilities to support technology-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the teaching strategies and learning media utilized in the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka at SDIT Al-Marjan in Bengkulu City, an Islamic-based school that integrates general education with religious values. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to examine the application of project-based learning (PjBL) and the use of digital technologies such as Google Classroom, Zoom, and social media as learning tools. The findings indicate that despite challenges such as limited infrastructure and teachers’ technological competencies, the school successfully fostered an interactive and adaptive learning environment. This was achieved through active teacher involvement, parental support in shaping students’ digital literacy, and the use of diverse learning media. In conclusion, contextual and collaborative teaching strategies and media play a vital role in supporting the successful implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka, particularly in Islamic value-based schools in the digital era.

Abstract

Character education is an important part of the formation of noble morals in students. In Islamic religious education, character education is very important to shape attitudes, behavior, and morals in accordance with Islamic values. This research aims to: 1. Analyze how the application of character education in PAI subjects to improve student morale. 2. Analyzing the strategy and effectiveness of the application of character education in PAI subjects in improving student morals. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on the development of PAI curriculum that emphasizes character values. Data collection techniques were carried out using the methods of interview, observation, and documentation. The results of the researchers' initial observations showed that strengthening moral values through PAI can create a positive learning environment and support students' moral development.

Abstract

This study focuses on investigating the implementation of Aqidah Akhlak instruction in shaping religious character at SMA Ar Rahman Medan, identifying its supporting and hindering factors, as well as the resulting outcomes. As a core subject in Islamic education, Aqidah Akhlak makes a substantial contribution to forming students’ behavior, morals, and ethics. Through Aqidah lessons, students are taught firm belief in Allah SWT and the values of faith, while Akhlak lessons guide them to exhibit noble behavior and commendable attitudes in everyday life. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, gathering data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Participants consist of teachers, students, and the principal. The findings reveal that the implementation of Aqidah Akhlak instruction at SMA Ar Rahman Medan significantly shapes students’ character particularly in honesty, responsibility, discipline, and empathy toward others.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of the strategies employed by MTs NU Medan in managing Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nahdlatul Ulama Medan in implementing the regulations issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This research is qualitative in nature, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis as methods of data collection. The results of this study are expected to assist educational institutions in managing madrasahs in accordance with the implementation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs regulations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in shaping students' religious character, the methods used and the process of forming students' religious character at SD IT DOD Medan. The method in this study is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation to four research informants, namely the principal, 2 Islamic Religious Education teachers and 1 fourth grade student ABY. The results of this study indicate that 1). The role of teachers in shaping students' religious character is the role of teachers as educators and instructors, the role of teachers as guides, the role of teachers as motivators, the role of teachers as evaluators and the role of teachers as role models. 2). The methods used in shaping students' religious character are the habituation method and the exemplary method. 3). The process of forming students' religious character is carried out through several stages, namely the habituation stage, the understanding stage, the application stage and the coercion stage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role played by Majelis Taklim Assalam in increasing religious understanding in the community of Medan Helvetia sub-district and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of Majelis Taklim Assalam in increasing the religious understanding of the community in Medan Helvetia sub-district. This research uses a qualitative approach because the data obtained is processed and explained in the author's description. In obtaining data, the author used observation, interview and documentation methods. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the role of the taklim assembly in increasing religious understanding is as a place to gain knowledge and develop religious knowledge. Supporting factors for the Assalam taklim assembly include community participation, competent ustadz, adequate funding and availability of facilities. The inhibiting factors of the Assalam taklim assembly are the busyness of some worshipers, and internal conflicts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social media usage on the learning motivation of 10th-grade students at SMK Negeri 9 Medan. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Both primary and secondary data sources were utilized. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using techniques of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study, titled "The Impact of Social Media Usage on the Learning Motivation of 10th-Grade Students at SMK Negeri 9 Medan," reveals that social media significantly affects students' learning motivation. Some students experienced a decline in motivation due to excessive use of social media. However, when used wisely, social media can also play a positive role as a supportive tool in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out (1) How the Principal's leadership in improving the performance of PAI teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Medan, (2) to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Principal's leadership in improving the performance of PAI teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Medan. This research is a field research. The method used in this study is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach and includes a type of qualitative research that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words. Research data sources are primary and secondary data and data collection techniques by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The main findings indicate that visionary, empowering, and collaborative leadership plays a significant role in motivating Islamic Education (PAI) teachers to achieve higher standards. The implication of this study is the need for leadership competency development for school principals and the enhancement of collaboration between school leadership and teaching staff to achieve better educational goals.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing students' politeness in speech at SMK 9 Medan. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings indicate that students who receive PAI education better understand the importance of good communication and respecting others in speech. Additionally, the role of PAI teachers is significant in guiding and setting an example of polite communication practices.
