Abstract

Employee wellbeing is an important aspect of human resource management because it is closely related to employees' health, comfort, and sustainable job performance. This study aimed to examine the influence of work-life balance and the physical work environment on employee wellbeing at PT Arteria Daya Mulia. A quantitative research approach with a survey design was employed involving 68 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS, following validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results revealed that Work-Life Balance had a positive and significant effect on Employee Wellbeing (B = 0.660, β = 0.425, t = 3.668, p < 0.001), while the Physical Work Environment also had a positive and significant effect (B = 0.293, β = 0.383, t = 3.309, p = 0.002). Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly influenced Employee Wellbeing (F = 40.468, p < 0.001) and explained 54.1% of its variance (Adjusted R² = 0.541). These findings indicate that maintaining a healthy work-life balance and providing a supportive physical work environment are essential strategies for enhancing employee wellbeing at PT Arteria Daya Mulia and may contribute to more sustainable organizational performance.

Abstract

This article examines how strategic state intervention propelled the global dominance of China’s electric vehicle (EV) industry and its subsequent expansion into Southeast Asia. Drawing on Ha-Joon Chang’s framework of industrial policy, the study argues that the Chinese EV case must be understood not as a free-market phenomenon driven by regional demand, but as a form of structural state intervention that matured domestic productive capacity before projecting it abroad. Methodologically, the study applies a qualitative single case study design, with data collected through a structured desk review of official policy documents, industry reports, and peer-reviewed literature, and analyzed through a theoretical thematic analysis explicitly driven by the industrial policy framework. The results demonstrate that strategic intervention facilitated this dominance through three interrelated mechanisms: value creation and value capture through conditional subsidies and mandated joint ventures; the countering of financialization by compelling the reinvestment of corporate surplus into research and development (R&D); and the expansion of policy space by redirecting surplus capacity toward Southeast Asia. The discussion analyzes these results through the three dimensions of Chang and Andreoni’s framework, namely new patterns of accumulation with value creation and value capture, financialization, and the new imperialism, and situates them within the wider scholarship on state-led industrialization and global value chains. It contends that the resulting configuration reproduces an asymmetrical division of labor in which Southeast Asian economies occupy assembly positions while core technologies remain under Chinese control. The article concludes that industrial policy remains a viable instrument for simultaneously building technological self-reliance, achieving cost efficiency, and securing a commanding position within international supply chains.

Abstract

The development of public sector organizations requires employees to perform optimally in providing services to the community. The Cirebon Regency Health Office, as a government agency engaged in health services, needs employees who possess competence, responsibility, and a high work ethic. This study aims to determine the influence of career development and work motivation on the performance of employees at the Cirebon Regency Health Office. This study employs a quantitative method with an associative approach. Data analysis techniques include validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, multicollinearity tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination, utilizing IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 for Windows. The results indicate that, individually, in the t-test for variable X1, with a calculated t-value of 1.146 and a significance level of 0.254 (0.254 > 0.05) career development does not significantly affect employee performance, whereas for variable X2, with a t-value of 5.343 and a significance level of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Collectively, In the simultaneous analysis using the F-test, the calculated F-value was 23.812 with a significance level of 0.000 (below the 0.05) career development and work motivation significantly influence the performance of employees at the Cirebon Regency Health Office. Thus, work motivation is the more dominant factor in enhancing employee performance; however, career development must still be prioritized to ensure more optimal human resource management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and job satisfaction on work engagement among employees of the Regional Road and Bridge Management Unit (UPTD) Service Area VI. The background of this study highlights how work-related stress and limited facilities contribute to low work engagement among employees. Using an associative quantitative approach, data were collected via a questionnaire from 110 respondents selected using simple random sampling with the Slovin formula. The results of multiple linear regression analysis ( Y = 9.025 + 0.022 X1 + 0.278 X2) indicate that both work motivation and job satisfaction have a positive and significant influence on work engagement simultaneously, with an F-value of 21.117 (p = 0) However, when analyzed partially, work motivation does not have a positive and significant influence on work engagement ( t = 0.416 , p = 0.678 ) , whereas job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on work engagement ( t = 4.822 p = 0.000). Specifically, the job satisfaction variable was found to have a more dominant influence (Standardized Beta = 0.504) than work motivation (Standardized Beta = 0.043) in shaping employees' work engagement. This research model accounts for 28.3% of the variance (R2 = 0.283, Adjusted R 2 = 0.27 ) in the work engagement variable, while the remaining 71.7% is influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings confirm that the integration of work motivation and job satisfaction is a key strategy for enhancing civil servants' work engagement in addressing bureaucratic challenges at the local level

Abstract

Rural communities undergoing post-extractive transitions often face socio-economic disruption due to the loss of extractive livelihoods, limited adaptive capacity, and institutional uncertainty. Although alternative livelihood sectors are widely promoted to support sustainable development, the social processes underlying successful transitions remain poorly understood. This study examines how social capital is constructed during rural transformation, emphasizing trust as the foundation of collective adaptation. Using an interpretive qualitative case study in a post-extractive community in Indonesia, the research explores trust-building through sustained interactions between local actors and external facilitators. The findings reveal that social capital was not a pre-existing community asset but gradually emerged through trust-building processes that generated bonding, bridging, and linking social capital. These relational dynamics strengthened collective action, institutional collaboration, and livelihood diversification. The study reconceptualizes trust as the enabling mechanism through which social capital is formed rather than merely one of its components. By proposing the concept of trust-led social capital formation, this study offers a process-oriented framework for understanding rural transformation and informing socially grounded interventions that support sustainable livelihood transitions

Abstract

The development of financial technology has increased the use of artificial intelligence-based digital investment services, including the Robo-Advisor feature in the Bibit application. This study aims to analyze the influence of Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), and Perceived Trust (PT) on Behavioral Intention (BI) to use the Robo-Advisor feature on the Bibit application. This study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling involving 203 respondents who were novice investors and users of the Bibit application in Indonesia. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The results show that Perceived Ease of Use has no significant effect on Behavioral Intention (p = 0.097 > 0.05), while Perceived Usefulness (p = 0.000 < 0.05) and Perceived Trust (p = 0.002 < 0.05) have positive and significant effects on Behavioral Intention. Simultaneously, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Trust have a significant effect on Behavioral Intention, as indicated by F = 129.554 with p = 0.000. The regression model has an Adjusted R² of 0.656, indicating that the three independent variables explain 65.6% of the variance in Behavioral Intention, while the remaining 34.4% is explained by other factors outside the research model. These findings indicate that perceived usefulness and perceived trust are more important factors than perceived ease of use in influencing users’ intention to use the Robo-Advisor feature on the Bibit application

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed patterns of communication, information access, and civic participation, while simultaneously presenting new challenges to strengthening university students' civic literacy. This study aims to analyze and synthesize previous research on the role of Pancasila Education in strengthening students' civic literacy in the digital era. The study employed a literature review method by examining relevant national and international scholarly publications published between 2020 and 2026. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis through the processes of identification, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of research findings. The results indicate that the major challenges to students' civic literacy include the spread of misinformation, limited critical thinking skills, weak digital ethics, and increasing polarization in digital spaces. Pancasila Education plays a strategic role in strengthening civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic dispositions through the internalization of Pancasila values integrated with contextual learning, discussions of contemporary issues, collaborative learning, project-based learning, and the promotion of digital citizenship. This review concludes that strengthening civic literacy requires the transformation of Pancasila Education into a more adaptive and innovative learning approach that responds to technological developments while fostering critical, democratic, responsible, and value-oriented citizens

Abstract

The transition toward a sustainable forest bioeconomy requires not only technological innovation and institutional capacity but also ethical values that strengthen collaboration and collective action. This study aims to develop a conceptual framework that integrates Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) values into forest bioeconomy by positioning them as the normative foundation of value-based social capital. A qualitative approach was employed using an Integrative Literature Review (ILR), synthesizing 37 scientific publications and four Indonesian policy documents through content analysis and thematic synthesis. The findings indicate that Aswaja values—tawassuṭ (moderation), tawāzun (balance), tasāmuḥ (tolerance), i‘tidāl (justice), and maṣlaḥah (public benefit)—provide an ethical basis for strengthening trust, reciprocity, institutional legitimacy, and collective action in community-based forest governance. Building on these findings, the study proposes a conceptual model in which Aswaja values function as the normative foundation, value-based social capital serves as the institutional mechanism, and forest bioeconomy acts as the strategic instrument for achieving sustainable development outcomes. The model extends existing forest bioeconomy literature by integrating ethical, institutional, and socio-economic dimensions into a unified analytical framework. It also offers practical insights for policymakers, Social Forestry practitioners, and community organizations seeking to promote inclusive, resilient, and sustainable forest-based development in support of Indonesia Emas 2045
