Abstract

A Blood glucose levels that exceed normal are a sign of diabetes mellitus (DM), a complex and chronic condition that requires ongoing medical care to reduce the risk of complications through glycemic control. In 2015, there are 10 million people in Indonesia who suffer from diabetes. The number of diabetics is increasing every year. The International Diabetes Federation estimates that the number of people in Indonesia who suffer from diabetes will increase to 16.2 million in 2040. To reduce the risk of complications in the future, diabetes must be detected early. One method that can be used to predict diabetes is the ID3 Decision Tree algorithm. The ID3 algorithm is an algorithm used to form a decision tree. From the test results, it produces a fairly large accuracy of 98.08% with a Precision of 96.88% and a Recall of 100%.

Abstract

Office of the Head of Talang Nangka Village, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency. The method of recording, registering and submitting information from the Talang Nangka Village Non-Governmental Organization still uses a simple method which causes frequent errors and the risk of data loss may occur. The purpose of this study was to build an application using a website to make it easier for Talang Nangka Village to process the administrative processing of this village self-help organization, because it is well computerized and easy to use. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and literature study. The type of data consists of qualitative data and data sources consist of primary and secondary data. The device development method uses a prototype. The system design tools used are use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams. This application was built using a website with the PHP programming language and Mysql database, and to print the report using a pdf component

Abstract

The development of information technology has changed the paradigm of archive management, giving rise to the need for digitization and web-based applications. UIN Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan, a higher education institution, faces obstacles in manual archive management, such as limited accessibility, risk of losing physical archives, and inefficiency in searching. In light of this, this research aims to develop a web-based application that focuses on records management, with the aim of improving the quality of service to all members of the academic community. This research involves understanding the principles of effective records management, namely records management that is minimal, meaningful, economical, and easy to find. The research also explores the efforts to develop a webbased archive application at UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan as well as the inhibiting and supporting factors in the process. The results of this study are expected to provide guidance for other higher education institutions in adopting information technology to improve efficiency and services to stakeholders.

Abstract

With the advancement of information technology and data analytics, new opportunities arise in decision-making within the field of human resources. The implementation of ensemble methods, such as extremely randomized trees, holds promise in predicting promotion decisions with higher accuracy. Despite numerous studies in this domain, there is a need for a deeper exploration in adapting ensemble methods to the context of employee promotions, considering various factors like skills, experience, and individual achievements. This research aims to develop an effective predictive model for employee promotions by integrating extremely randomized trees with relevant human resources data. The model derived from this study achieved an accuracy rate of 99% on the training data, indicating highly precise predictions. The use of test data confirmed the model's performance with an accuracy score of 98%, illustrating its consistent predictive capabilities. Factors such as avg_training_score, department, total_score, age, and sum_metric were identified as the most influential in shaping the model, providing crucial insights for human resources management.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an affordable, innovative prosthetic leg design using a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) approach. Lower limb loss is a serious problem for many individuals, and prosthetic limbs are becoming a common solution, but the high cost and lack of availability of effective designs are major obstacles. The research method involved a literature study on prosthetic limbs, prosthetic limb modeling, and FEA. In this research, we model the geometry of a prosthetic leg using 360 fusion, apply FEA to understand its mechanical behavior, and optimize the design based on the analysis results. FEA testing shows that the proposed prosthetic leg design is capable of withstanding a load of 1000N with a minimum safety factor of 3.64. The results of this research indicate that the resulting prosthetic leg design can be an effective and affordable solution for individuals in need, with the potential to improve quality of life and mobility.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of Naive Bayes algorithm for child stunting classification based on health and nutrition data. This study aims to identify factors that influence the risk of stunting and develop a predictive model that can assist in stunting prevention and intervention. The research methodology includes initial data processing, division of the dataset into training and testing sets, model training using the Naive Bayes algorithm, and evaluation of model performance through metrics such as accuracy, precision, and recall. The results showed that the Naive Bayes model achieved an accuracy of 72.49% for training data and 81.25% for testing data. Confusion matrix analysis shows a precision value of 0.911 and recall of 0.710 for training data; for testing data, the precision value is 0.914 and recall is 0.842. The results show that the Naive Bayes model is able to perform stunting classification quite well, although there are some limitations, such as the conditional independence assumption that may not be met at all times. This research provides insight into how classification models can be used in public health, particularly in efforts to detect and prevent stunting. The results are promising, but further evaluation is needed to optimize the model and ensure that it can be used effectively in the real world.

Abstract

In this study, we compared the performance of two machine learning algorithms, Naïve Bayes and Decission Tree, for diagnosing lung diseases using patient health datasets. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score of the two algorithms to determine which method is more effective in predicting lung diseases. The results showed that the tree classification algorithm outperformed Naïve Bayes in terms of accuracy, reaching 95% in an 80:20 split, compared to the 78% accuracy achieved by Naïve Bayes on the same data. Further analysis showed that most patients in this dataset were high risk with 365 patients, followed by risk with 332 patients, and low risk with 303 patients. The decision tree structure proved to be more effective in handling the complexity of the data and produced more accurate predictions, improving efficiency by creating a new "Risk_Score". These results show that decision trees are a better method than Naïve Bayes for diagnosing lung diseases and can provide a solid foundation for developing accurate machine learning models for future health research.

Abstract

Stunting is a sign of a serious malnutrition problem and can cause toddlers to have a short height and affect the growth and development of toddlers. The data in the study used anthropometric data of toddlers from the Majasem Health Center in September 2024, a total of 1368 toddler data that had been recorded in that time span. The Decision Tree model used aims to predict the status of toddlers, based on the stunting category. However, the Decision Tree algorithm often faces the problem of non-optimal accuracy due to the imbalance of class data in the dataset. The SMOTE method is used as an effort to overcome the problem of class imbalance, so that the classes in the dataset will be balanced. This research successfully proves that the SMOTE method is able to improve the accuracy of the Decision Tree model, the accuracy of the model with the best SMOTE is 98.56% on training data and 96.91% on testing data with a data proportion of 80:20. This research is useful for helping health workers to provide better insight into the nutritional status of toddlers, besides that the developed model can increase the effectiveness of public health interventions.

Abstract

Wonoharjo Village is one of the villages in Kemusu sub-district, Boyolali district, Central Java province with a population of 3,208 people. The population data is currently only stored in the village computer folder which can be accessed by anyone and without any special security to secure the data. This is certainly very risky if there are irresponsible people accessing the computer and misusing population data for personal gain. To overcome these problems, a system was created that uses the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm as a method to secure resident data. Data security is done through an encryption process using a symmetric key when resident data is added to the system. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the resident data is successfully encrypted properly in the database with a ciphertext form that is difficult to understand. So it can be concluded that the system created can secure resident data from data leakage and misuse compared to the previous system.
