Abstract

School organizational culture influences the success of the Merdeka Curriculum, but bureaucratic and hierarchical cultures often hinder teacher autonomy and creativity. This study aims to analyze school organizational strategies, their implications for teacher autonomy and creativity, and educational strategies that support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The method used is a literature study, which includes reading various journals, academic books, and research reports. The research results show that a collaborative, adaptive, and participatory organizational culture is very important for driving the success of the Merdeka curriculum, which can be achieved through transformational leadership strategies, collaborative supervision, and school autonomy to create an innovative and autonomous work environment that aligns with the Merdeka curriculum.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the concept of integrating science and religion within the philosophy of Islamic education and to examine its relevance and implications for the development of Islamic education in the digital and global era. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach through critical review of scholarly books, journal articles, and relevant empirical studies. The findings reveal that the integration of science and religion serves as an essential epistemological paradigm capable of constructing a holistic Islamic education oriented toward the formation of insan kamil. The study highlights that integrative education significantly strengthens students’ religious character, critical thinking skills, and academic competitiveness, while responding effectively to moral crises and dehumanization generated by modernity and digital disruption.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the relationship between mathematics and tawhid (Islamic monotheism) and to explore how fundamental mathematical concepts can serve as a means of internalizing aqidah within the framework of Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a systematic literature review. Data sources consist of relevant journal articles, academic books, and conference proceedings published within the last ten years that discuss the integration of mathematics, Islamic values, and tawhid. The collected literature was analyzed thematically to identify patterns, concepts, and theoretical perspectives regarding the relationship between mathematical structures and monotheistic principles. The findings indicate that mathematical concepts such as numbers, patterns, logical consistency, order, and symmetry reflect the principles of divine unity, harmony, and precision inherent in tawhid. These concepts can be interpreted as manifestations of Allah’s order (sunnatullah), thereby positioning mathematics as not merely a computational tool but also a medium for strengthening students’ spiritual awareness and religious character, including honesty, discipline, and accuracy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the use of Artificial Intelligence can contribute to the development of critical thinking skills in Islamic religious education (PAI) lerning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach through journal artcles, books, and literary works related to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and critical theory. The results of the study indicate that Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an important role in creating adaptive, interactive, and analytical learning through featuares such as Natural Language Processing. (NLP), adaptive learning, educational chatbots, and data -driven automated evaluation. This technology enables students to critically analyze religious texts, compare references, and evaluate the quality of information to systematically improve their critical thinking skills. In addition, Artificial Intelligence helps teachers personalize materials, provide quick feedback, and enrich classroom discussions using structured data. This study shows that the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not only a technical tool, but also a useful educational tool to improve the quality of education in the digital era. This is a summary of the reasons for conducting the research, the approaches or methods chosen, important results, and main conclusions.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate the contribution of Islamic digital literacy components to the internalization of religious moderation, identify the role of institutional factors as mediators, and develop a conceptual model that describes the mechanism of value transformation in IHEI students. The approach used is qualitative research based on a literature study of 22 empirical and conceptual articles, major theoretical books, and policy documents analyzed through content analysis and thematic analysis. The results show that information verification skills, religious hermeneutic abilities, media ethics, and content production participation are the main components of digital literacy that contribute to the formation of moderate religious attitudes. The findings also show that the PAI curriculum, the House of Religious Moderation, and student communities play a significant role in directing the process of value transformation from exposure to digital content to inclusive religious practices.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the dynamics of learning difficulties faced by students in traditional Islamic boarding schools in the digital age, which are caught between the preservation of Islamic values and the demands of technological modernization. Using a qualitative approach with a case study strategy, data was collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with 15 senior high school students from various majors and levels of education. The results of thematic analysis show four main findings: technological limitations that impact access to learning resources; conventional teaching methods that are less adaptive to digital learning styles; differences in students' views on the integration of technology in learning; and adaptive strategies used by students through collaboration, informal discussions, and the utilization of limited resources. These findings reinforce the relevance of the Digital Divide and Social Constructivism theories in the context of Islamic education, emphasizing that the digital divide in Islamic boarding schools is not merely a matter of infrastructure, but also a matter of values and learning culture. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on the agency of students as adaptive actors in the transformation of Islamic education, showing that Islamic boarding schools have the potential to develop hybrid learning models that harmonize tradition and technology.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between mathematical concepts contained in the verses of the Qur’an and their relevance to the development of holistic and contextual mathematics learning. The method used is a literature study by reviewing Qur’anic verses that include concepts of numbers and mathematical operations, as well as related scholarly works. Data were collected through the identification and classification of Qur’anic verses containing mathematical concepts along with supporting literature. The results show that integrating mathematical principles related to numbers with Qur’anic values in the learning process can deepen students’ understanding of number concepts in a more comprehensive and contextual manner. This article is expected to contribute to the development of a mathematics education model that incorporates Qur’anic values, enabling learning that not only strengthens cognitive understanding of mathematical concepts but also builds students’ character grounded in spiritual values.

Abstract

The limited implementation of structured Islamic value habituation in early childhood education hinders the optimal development of children’s religious character. This study examines the implementation of Islamic value habituation at Tadika Al Fikh Orchard Johan Setia using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive analysis model with triangulation for validity. The findings show that Islamic values are habituated through routine activities such as greetings, prayers, hygiene, and polite behavior, supported by teachers’ role modeling. Challenges include differences in home practices, children’s limited focus, and uneven parental support. Overall, Islamic value habituation contributes positively to the development of children’s religious attitudes, discipline, morals, and social awareness.

Abstract

This study analyzes the dynamics of Islamic education policy in Indonesia and its implications for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum through the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy in Islamic higher education institutions. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review, this article examines the historical, regulatory, and political developments that have influenced the direction of Islamic education from the pre-independence period to the reform era. The results of the study show that political configurations have a significant influence on the formation of the identity, structure, and orientation of Islamic education, especially in terms of curriculum standardization, institutional transformation, and the expansion of academic autonomy. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Islamic higher education presents both opportunities and challenges, such as the need to maintain a balance between academic freedom and Islamic epistemology, strengthening lecturer competencies, and managing external partnerships in an ethical and visionary manner.
