Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction at LPR Course. This research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing primary data collected from customers or students of the LPR Course as the sample. The data were gathered using a saturation sampling technique, involving 20 respondents. The study employs simple regression analysis to examine the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction. The findings reveal that service quality has a significant and positive effect on customer satisfaction at LPR Course.

Abstract

This article discusses the impact of communication technology on family interactions using the literature study method. The research analyzes various sources to understand how technological advances, such as instant messaging apps and video calls, affect family communication dynamics. The results show that communication technology can increase the frequency and quality of interactions, allowing family members to stay connected despite being separated by geographical distance. However, on the other hand, excessive use of technology can reduce the quality of face-to-face communication, which is important for building emotional closeness. In addition, generational differences in technology utilization often create communication gaps that can potentially trigger conflict. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of balance in the use of technology to maintain harmony and meaning of communication in families in the digital era.

Abstract

Each ethnic group has its own stereotype. Stereotypes are beliefs that are overly generalized, simplified or exaggerated about a group. Negative stereotypes of the Chinese ethnic group due to past conflicts. Young Chinese ethnic groups in the Vijendrasaddha Remaja Vihara Cagasasana association, Cukanggalih, Tangerang Regency, have participated in breaking down the negative stereotypes that have existed since ancient times regarding the Chinese ethnic group. The purpose of this study was to find out how young Chinese ethnic groups fight stereotypes that exist in indigenous ethnic communities. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques, namely observation, participation, and interviews. This study uses a study of the Symbolic Interaction theory which has 3 elements, namely Mind, Self, and Society. The results of the study show the efforts of the Chinese Ethnic Group in the Vijendrasaddha Remaja Vihara Cagasasana association, in dealing with negative stereotypes given by indigenous ethnic groups, namely conducting social services and inviting cooperation between ethnic groups.

Abstract

The phenomenology of communication within Generation Z reveals how social interactions and symbolic interpretations play a crucial role in transforming their lifestyle paradigms. This generation, characterized by their ambition, creativity, and individuality, often faces societal pressures associated with hedonism and the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). However, through direct experiences and effective communication, Gen Z demonstrates a remarkable ability to navigate these challenges and adopt the frugal living concept—a lifestyle focused on financial prudence and long-term goals. This research explores how Generation Z communicates and negotiates meanings within their social contexts to overcome these pressures. By engaging in intentional decision-making and prioritizing sustainable practices, they manage to redefine their identity while countering the negative stereotypes often associated with their generation. The findings suggest that Gen Z's adoption of frugal living goes beyond mere financial savings; it represents a deeper shift towards meaningful living, balancing social expectations and personal values. As a result, this generation not only refutes the stigma of materialism and FOMO but also sets a positive example for future generations. The study underscores the power of communication as a transformative tool, enabling Gen Z to inspire broader societal change toward sustainability and mindful living.

Abstract

Parole is one of the mechanisms in the criminal justice system that aims to reintegrate prisoners into society before their sentence ends, with certain conditions. This study aims to examine the implementation of parole in Class 1 Correctional Institution Surabaya, focusing on implementation and its challenges. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with an empirical juridical approach involving observation, in-depth interviews with inmates and prison officers, and analysis of related documents. The study results show that the implementation of parole in the Class 1 Prison in Surabaya has been going well and by applicable regulations. However, this study also found several obstacles, such as the absence of a guarantor as a condition for the implementation of parole, community resistance, the unpreparedness of the inmates themselves, and the factor of administrative completeness. In conclusion, although parole in the Class 1 Prison in Surabaya has been running well and its implementation has been in accordance with applicable regulations, its implementation requires improvements in terms of socialization to the guarantor and the community, and coordination between institutions is further improved. The recommendations of this study are increased training for prison officers, increased cooperation with community organizations, and the formulation of policies that are more supportive of the parole program.

Abstract

The implementation of sanctions against inmates who violate the provisions of the code of conduct based on Law Number 20 of 2022 concerning Correctional Services and Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number 8 of 2024 concerning the Implementation of Security and Order in Correctional Work Units. It is closely related to the Coaching of Prisoners in the Class I Correctional Institution of Surabaya. This study aims the application of sanctions for correctional inmates who violate discipline in Class I Correctional Institution Surabaya. In this study, the method used is qualitative. The results of the study show that the application of sanctions for inmates who violate the provisions of the code of conduct is in the form of minor violations, moderate violations, and severe violations. The imposition of sanctions is applied to all Correctional Assisted Citizens in the Prison to improve and educate Correctional Assisted Citizens who violate the provisions of the Correctional Institution. The imposition of sanctions is carried out in a structured manner and based on applicable rules. Still, there are sanctions given by the conditions in the field for the effectiveness of the sanctions to cause a deterrent effect on violators. Factors that affect the process of imposing sanctions include the level of violations, the attitude and behavior of the inmates, and the factors of the Correctional Institution itself. This research is expected to provide input for related parties in increasing the effectiveness of the discipline enforcement system in Correctional Institutions.

Abstract

Prisons are institutions or places that are responsible for coaching inmates. One of the coaching programs is in the form of fostering independence in the Surabaya Class I Correctional Institution. The program's objectives include allowing inmates to interact with fellow inmates during their sentences and preparing them for reintegration into society. However, this independence development program has experienced several obstacles due to the prison conditions exceeding capacity. The purpose of this research is to find out the prison's independence development program and how the process of fulfilling the rights of prisoners is. The research method with a problem approach is carried out using a normative juridical method with the source of the Law of the 1945 Constitution, Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections. The data analysis used is a qualitative data analysis technique. The results of the study show that the Class I Correctional Institution of Surabaya has implemented the inmate development program (especially the development of independence). In addition to increasing knowledge and expertise in the field of skills, participating in prisoner independence coaching is a requirement to be able to obtain prisoner rights. However, the coaching held is still constrained by the overcapacity of residents and the ability of trainers to provide coaching; besides that, qualified facilities and infrastructure are still not used effectively due to the limitations of the existing situation, conditions, and places. With the results of this research, it is hoped that it can add insight and can be used as evaluation material for Surabaya Class 1 Prison.

Abstract

Crime cases that are still widely committed by the community have increased the volume of inmates in correctional institutions. According to the Police, most criminal incidents in Indonesia occurred at night, with 15,703 incidents, 15,501 criminal incidents during the day, and 15,501 crimes in the afternoon. Efforts to overcome social deviation include providing harsh sanctions, improving public relations, and facilitating reintegration to create a deterrent effect for perpetrators of social deviation. To overcome the increase in the number of inmates in correctional institutions, correctional guardians are needed to foster inmates to become better individuals when they return to society. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach in which direct observation, interviews, and questionnaires will be carried out. The results of this study stated that many yiang fostered the Class I Institution of Surabaya has provided programs to educate the inmates. However, the role of guardians carried out by guardians does not all go well; there are still obstacles and handling problems that are not immediately responded to, so the inmates feel inadequate in the services received.

Abstract

Understanding of religion is influenced by the paradigm used by each person. So far, there are three paradigms that have developed among Indonesian Muslim intellectuals in particular, namely the theocentric Islamic paradigm, the theoanthropocentric Islamic paradigm and the anthropocentric Islamic paradigm. Each paradigm is based on a different method of reasoning with reference to the fundamental question, whether religion is a divine taklif or a human right. With the aim of critically analyzing the three paradigms and offering a new paradigm in understanding religion, this paper utilizes Abdul Karim Soros's taklif and human rights theory and the maqasyidi interpretation theory to analyze the verses of the Qur'an. The method of critical appreciation thinking is used to compile the framework of this paper. The results of the study show that Islam through its holy book is a holy book that is oriented towards the interests and welfare of humans, both in the world and in the hereafter. However, this welfare must remain bound by the holy book, although it does not mean completely rejecting the welfare that is born from humans as long as it does not conflict with the maqasyid of the holy book.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of customer satisfaction in moderating the influence of service quality and customer experience on customer loyalty. This study uses a survey method with a questionnaire as its instrument. The respondents of this study were 160 respondents who used e-commerce in the Jabodetabek area. The sampling process used a nonprobability sampling technique using a quantitative approach that was associative using primary data. The method used was the PLS-SEM method with WARP-PLS 7.0 as its software. These results indicate that Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, Customer Experience has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, Customer Satisfaction moderates the relationship between Service Quality and Customer Loyalty significantly, although with a small moderation contribution, thus the customer satisfaction variable can be said to be a Quasi Moderation. And Customer satisfaction is unable to moderate Customer Experience on Customer Loyalty but is significant when used as a direct variable, so from this the customer satisfaction variable can be called Pure Moderation.
