Abstract

Compensation is part of the resource management function which is related to various types of rewards that individuals receive as rewards for employees who have carried out their work duties. The total reward received by employees who have done their work is managed by the company by creating a policy which is also known as input-output exchange between the company and its employees. To optimally understand the nature of compensation, the types and forms of compensation and the benefits of compensation, it can be viewed from the science of philosophy. Compensation is discussed in detail using philosophy through the dimensions of ontology, epistemology, and axiology. So, with this aim, organizations or companies can get a complete picture of compensation and can make efforts to optimize compensation so that it can bring positive benefits and prevent negative things that can arise if it is not handled correctly. This research discusses compensation from a philosophical perspective in the dimensions of ontology, epistemology and axiology using a qualitative approach. The research results show that from the perspective of philosophical knowledge, compensation can be explained in three dimensions, namely: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. In the ontological dimension, compensation includes the true meaning of compensation which can be proven to exist in every organization. The epistemological dimension of compensation is related to the basic science, forms, characteristics, and types of all existing compensation. Finally, in the axiological dimension, the discussion of compensation includes the relationship between compensation and value, namely the feasibility of compensation to be developed, as well as the function and benefits of compensation in the organization. In the end, compensation needs to be managed so that it can provide more optimal benefits in the continuity of an organization's activities.

Abstract

Paddle aerators are an important tool in intensive shrimp farming. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance and electrical power consumption of paddle aerators based on the results of dynamic modelling analysis. This study uses causal ex-pose facto design concept with data analysis using dynamic modelling system. The results showed the salinity levels of pond 1 20-27 gr/L and pond 2 31-33 gr/L, pH pond 1 7.9-9.0 and pond 2 8.1-8.3, DO concentration pond 1 4.43-6.93 mg/L and pond 2 4.72-5.99 mg/L, temperature pond 1 27.15-31.400C with a brightness of 43 cm and pond 2 ranging from 27.50-29.850C with a brightness of 49 cm. From the calculation of the level of oxygen production paddle aerator power 1 HP produces oxygen average 2.12 mgO2 / hour (1.68-2.89 mgO2 / hour) with gas pressure 10.31-16.00 mmHg and paddle aerator power 2 HP produces oxygen average 3.20 mgO2 / hour (2.82-3.65 mgO2 / hour) with gas pressure 10.05-14.56 mmHg. From the accumulated results, the electrical load power required for pond 1 is about 6.83-10.38 kW and pond 2 is about 6.59-7.71 kW. The performance of 1 HP paddle aerator is more effective than 2 HP paddle aerator 4 pieces. The results of dynamic model analysis estimated the level of dissolved oxygen production by paddle aerators during one cultivation cycle ranged from 1-2.70 mgO2/hours and 1-2.75 mgO2/hours with a rotational speed of 0-30 rpm/s and power requirements of 8-10 kW. The conclusion from the results of this study is that the use of 1 HP paddle aerators in large quantities is proven to be more effective and based on the results of dynamic modelling system analysis, it is shown that the performance of DO production by paddle aerators will stagnate at week ten of the cultivation period, with increasing electrical power requirements.

Abstract

The passing of the Health Law is a strategic step in strengthening human rights guarantees in the field of public services, especially access to health services. This law affirms the state's commitment to fulfil the basic right of the people to quality health in an equitable manner. However, the main challenge lies in reducing regional disparities and ensuring that vulnerable groups are not left behind in obtaining services that are inclusive and based on social justice. Through a human rights approach, Health Law has great potential to realise a more equitable and comprehensive national health system. With proper monitoring and implementation, this law can be the main foundation for achieving rights-based and equitable public services.

Abstract

This study analyzes the determinants of food insufficiency prevalence across 34 provinces in Indonesia using a quantile regression approach. The research focuses on three key variables: the Food Security Index (IKP), rice productivity (PVP), and per capita food expenditure (PPM), using 2023 cross-sectional data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). Results from ordinary least squares (OLS) and quantile regression at the 25th, 50th, and 75th percentiles reveal that the Food Security Index has a consistent and significant negative effect on food insufficiency across all quantiles, with the strongest influence observed at the higher quantile (τ = 0.75). In contrast, rice productivity is not statistically significant at any quantile, while per capita food expenditure is only marginally significant at the 25th quantile. These findings suggest that improvements in food security contribute significantly to reducing food inadequacy, especially in regions with high prevalence rates. However, the impact of rice productivity and food spending varies across different segments, implying that context-specific policies are needed. The study recommends targeted government interventions to enhance food access, affordability, and regional food security equity.

Abstract

Dispute resolution in the health sector often involves complex and emotional processes. This study examines the development of restorative policies as an alternative to health dispute resolution using a comparative approach. Restorative policies, which focus on dialogue, mediation and consensus-based resolution, enable peaceful dispute resolution and maintain good relations between patients, health workers and healthcare institutions. This study revealed that the implementation of restorative policies can reduce emotional tension, accelerate resolution, and minimise stigma. Strong policy support, including training of professional mediators and strengthening health sector regulations, is required for the successful implementation of restorative methods. The main recommendation is the integration of restorative policies into a more humane and inclusive health dispute resolution system, providing satisfactory outcomes for all parties involved.

Abstract

Climate change is increasingly recognized as a major driver of internal displacement, particularly in fragile states like Libya where environmental shocks intersect with political instability and weak governance. This study investigates how climate-induced internal displacement affects social cohesion in Libya’s coastal cities, focusing on Tripoli, Misrata, and Benghazi. Using a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations involving internally displaced persons (IDPs), host community members, and local stakeholders. Findings reveal that environmental factors such as drought and flooding have forced vulnerable populations to migrate from Libya’s interior regions to urban coastal centers. These displacements have strained public services, exacerbated competition for resources, and led to growing tensions between displaced populations and host communities. Social trust, mutual support, and access to services have all been undermined, while IDPs often face legal invisibility, psychological stress, and marginalization. Despite these challenges, the research identifies promising local initiatives that have fostered integration and rebuilt social ties, including joint livelihood programs and inclusive municipal governance efforts. However, these efforts remain fragmented and unsustainable without broader policy support. The study concludes that to prevent further erosion of social cohesion, Libya must adopt a national legal framework to recognize and protect climate-displaced persons, strengthen municipal capacities, and integrate displacement considerations into urban planning and climate adaptation strategies. This article contributes to emerging literature on climate migration and urban resilience by providing grounded, context-specific insights into how environmental displacement reshapes the social fabric in post-conflict settings.

Abstract

This study explores the application of Reality Therapy using the WDEP (Wants, Doing, Evaluation, Planning) technique to improve self-esteem among People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) at the Panti Sosial Bina Insan Bangun Daya II in East Jakarta. As PLWHA often face stigma, rejection, and psychological distress, self-esteem becomes a crucial component for mental resilience and social reintegration. This quasi-experimental research employed a pre-test and post-test control group design, involving five selected participants diagnosed with HIV/AIDS aged 18 and above. The intervention consisted of ten group counseling sessions focusing on helping participants identify their goals, assess current behaviors, and plan realistic strategies for change. Self-esteem levels were measured using the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI). Pre-test results indicated low levels of self-esteem, with an average score of 31. Following the intervention, the post-test average rose to 48, signifying a 54% improvement and placing participants in the high self-esteem category. Qualitative observations during therapy sessions revealed significant behavioral transformations, including increased emotional regulation, social interaction, self-acceptance, responsibility, and future orientation. The findings demonstrate that Reality Therapy with WDEP is an effective, culturally adaptable approach to psychological rehabilitation in institutional settings. It not only enhances self-esteem but also empowers PLWHA to rebuild their sense of self-worth, establish supportive relationships, and envision a hopeful future. The study contributes to expanding evidence-based psychosocial interventions for marginalized populations in Indonesia.

Abstract

The word Maisir in Arabic literally means to obtain something very easily without hard work or to gain profit without working. It is anything that involves gambling, betting or risky games. Another term used in the Quran is the word `azlam' which means the practice of gambling. Economic activity plays a vital role in creating a prosperous, just and prosperous society. Islam teaches in the economic system of its ummah, based on the values of justice that must be upheld, and become the main principle for conducting economic activities. Every economic activity must contain elements of benefit and not mistreatment of himself and others, so that economic activity can create community welfare equally. Conducting economic activities is not allowed to be done if it contains elements of gharar, maysir and usury or taking the rights of others by false means. In the Qur'an letter al-Baqarah: 219 and surat al- Ma'idah: 90 and 91, it is known that gambling is an abominable act that is forbidden by Islam. The scholars also said that gambling (maisir) is a game where the winner gets a certain amount of money or goods without reasonable effort and can make people fall into the valley of poverty because it contains three elements, namely games/competitions, there is a bet, luck. Today's modern conventional (non-sharia) businesses generally contain three elements that are prohibited in Islamic economic ideology, namely gharar, maisir and riba. This happens not separated from the reality of conventional business development trends and not widespread awareness and coverage of economic services based on Islamic economics. Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI) is the first purely Islamic bank in Indonesia which in principle all of its main products both in the service of Financing Strategy products (deposits funds) and financing products (financing) based on the Islamic system (profit sharing). BMI seeks to implement aspects of Islamic economic ideology that consistently avoids gharar, maisir and usury.
